Best FOOD IN MOAB. My husband loved his eggplant plate, lots of food perfect bang for your buck! It was delicious! Service was unfortunately mid. I dont know what's up with Moab and customer service but its poor. Ambiance was plane and simple looked clean! Would come again for the food I'm surprised there wasn't more people! read more

Great Mediterranean food. Casual environment. Reasonably priced. I had the Sultan, which is a lamb and beef kabob platter, and my wife had a lamb platter, we both enjoyed ours. The highlight might have been a spicy hummus appetizer, although my wife thought the babaganoush was incredible. Either way, we both loved our food. Definitely recommend coming here! read more

A gem in a state of chain restaurants. Was very hesitant to over order considering flavor doesn't exist in this area but it was all a very pleasant surprise. Order everything, it's fresh and flavorful. But they will skimp on sauces to make sure to order extra read more

Great food! Good portion sizes and authentic flavors. Next time we're in Moab we'd definitely come back.

This was our first stop in MOAB. the lunch special was priced at $12-14 and I was thinking oh wow this is a great price. The beef was especially tender and flavorful. Probably the best beef gyro I've had to date. Didn't know it could taste this good and be SO TENDER. We left expecting similar prices in MOAB and was sorely dissapointed that everywhere else is a tier more expensive. Hindsight makes this place EVEN BETTER! read more

I was so excited to try this place after seeing all the great reviews. The ambiance is fine - somewhere between a strip mall and a fancier location. Service was also decent- no long waits and our orders came correctly and were phased well. The food is where the problems are. We ordered the falafel salad, spicy hummus, a chicken shawarma platter and a chicken shawarma sandwich. The falafel salad looked awful. I was expecting more of a chopped salad with falafel. I know they said it had a green tahini sauce but this looks green like a 1970s bathtub and not green like food should be. The tomato pieces were fine but the romaine pieces were huge and the red onion slices were long. The falafel was mushy, dense, too salty and were not tasty. The rice, unlike the salad, looked like it would have flavor. Unfortunately it was bland yellow rice. Chicken shawarma was just grilled chicken. No spices and no grilling happened. Spicy hummus was okay and was more similar in quality to what you get at the grocery store, although the plating was nice. Pita bread was easily the best thing here. It is soft and tasty. read more

The male waitress at the front ruined my night. We came in around 8:30 on a Sunday, I waited by the front door for a table and he saw me but didn't acknowledge at all. Then another family came in and he welcomed them immediately and purposefully skipped me IN LINE and put them on the list. If this is not micro-aggression I don't know what it is. He also purposefully got my name wrong after I spelled it to him repeatedly, it was three letters and I knew what he was trying to do. I was mad at myself for being quiet and didn't call him out right away for his behaviors. I do not need more racism in my life and this is just not right. We thought the food was horrible. my friends/family won't be back. read more

AMAZING find in Moab. We were vacationing in Page, AZ and Moab... and this was a great find. The food in Page was a little disappointing. But this place... was super good. The service was excellent; food came out really fast; portions, presentation and pricing was great; and most off all the taste was delicious. Very authentic in my opinion and tasted so fresh. We ordered so much! We started with a trio platter for an appetizer with the hummus, grape leaves and the pickles/olives. We also got the hummus fattah with chicken which was excellent. I ordered the lamb chops and the portion size was more than filling for the price. Cooked perfectly! My husband got the gyro plate which he loved. My kids split the penne pasta with meatball off of the kids menu. We also got the rice pudding and the baklava for dessert and well neither was a disappointment. They were so delicious. I can't say enough how good the food was here. Excited to see what else Moab has to offer restaurant wise. If you're visiting or live here; you just got here to eat. read more

Food was amazing & the staff were so friendly and hospitable. We got the chicken kebobs and they were on point. Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful dinner we had at Sultan! I'm a big fan of Mediterranean cuisine, and Lebanese particularly. This place totally met my expectations, especially given that we're in Moab, not exactly the culinary center of the country. I can't say it was the best Lebanese food I have ever eaten, but it was definitely very high level quality. All the flavors were there, I really loved it, I was really satisfied and happy. The zaatar bread was a bit soft, but delicious, even my picky daughter loved it. The babaganoush was delicious, the gyro plate fantastic and the stuffed eggplant amazing, albeit a bit heavy. The baklava was delicious too, served warm with a ball of vanilla ice cream, fantastic! The lowlight was the kid's pasta, it was really overcooked. The meatball on the basta though was very good. If you are in Moab you have to try this place! read more

Great way to get a good portion of protein and vegetables. You can't beat the price/quantity/ quality of the lunch bowl here ( on special from weekdays 11:30 to 4pm ) you get a little bit of everything - falafel ( good ) salad w tomato's/onions, quinoa, grape leaves, pita , beets. I chose to pay extra to add chicken & feta. I was pleasantly surprised sumac was sprinkled generously on the hummus, usually places don't care to. I am grateful the owner still finds that this important touch, to me it's a sign they care about their food. Full disclosure/ to set expectations the beets did seem like they had been canned, but I'd take canned beets over none at all. The babaganoush seemed more like moutabal, I actually like moutabal more if it's house made , but this one didn't seem to be. All in all a great meal, I can't wait to come back and try the salmon read more

This place had REALLY good food! Easily found food to eat being vegan and gluten free and my meat eating friend also found something tasty. I ordered some kind of falafel plate or salad and then a veggies and hummus appetizer along with the olives. So so good! The service was friendly and attentive. The location was clean. The food was really tasty! The prices were fair. The only thing i would say is the parking lot is really small and it can be a little challenging to get in and out of. And if they were busy i am not sure where you would park but i am not that familiar with moab. Would definitely come back if in moab area again. read more

Food was absolutely perfect - Chicken Shawarma was some of the best we have ever enjoyed. My partner had the platter with fries and a salad. I had the sandwich with rice. For the small cost differential the platter is the way to go. The fries were seasoned well and were hot and crispy. The garlic mayo was delectable. Service was spot on and the restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated. Would definitely eat here again. I say this is the best meal we have had in Moab - my partner said it is tied for first place. Awesome experience. read more

For the love of god, take the steak off of the menu. If you can't cook it, don't do trial and error. My steak came totally charred on the outside to the point of being bitter and unenjoyable. Whatever traces of flavor I could taste were off. Should have probably had the salmon instead. On the other hand, fried calamari with spicy sauce were good. My girlfriend enjoyed the sultan kebab except that it was dried out and scratched her throat. Although the place was packed on thanksgiving evening, the wait was not long and the service was swift. The waiters forgot our other starter and hot water but eventually were able to find it. read more

Rolled into Moab, tired & hungry, wife picked out this spot. Main Street is packed with food joints, but she was feeling Mediterranean & it got good reviews. Ample parking, right off main street. Plenty of seating, friendly greeting at door. Seated right away, cleanliness was good. Our waitress was Mary Alice, she was incredible. She was super busy & never missed a step, water glasses stayed filled and our party of three never wanted for anything. We eached sampled each other dishes so did a review together. The appetizer was Calamari with sauce- Solid 4 by all. Gyro & fries - 4 by all (high compliments on hot fries) Pesto Penne - not a fan of all the tomatoes, but a solid 4 with the overall flavor. Mediterranean Stew- Lean on potatoes, but loved it (5) only complaint was no bread came with meal . Had to order separate for a $1, which is not crazy, but most places provide a small basket with meal. read more

We had dinner here and really enjoyed it. The portions are large and the flavors are superb. They have more than just gyros and pitas, although we did order one and liked it a lot. Some of the other items we liked include: * Fried cauliflower with green tahini and hot sauce * Roasted eggplant stuffed with ground beef, Mediterranean spices, tomato sauce, and pinenuts * Beef and lamb kebab, grilled Anaheim pepper, grilled tomato, salad, and basmati rice 1 star off: Our server did get our order wrong a few times, but they were subsequently corrected. There are so many other items on their menu that we wanted to try! read more

Food was FANTASTIC! Served very quickly. The bathrooms could be cleaner but food was great!

I can't speak highly enough of Sultan. My husband and I were in Moab this weekend for 4 days and the food was so good at Sultan that after going for dinner, we returned the next day for lunch. The shakshuka was the best I've ever had, I think I giggled when I took my first bite, it was that good (but it's only available at lunch). The signature Sultan kebab was so good (packed with flavor, tender) that after having the kebab plate for dinner, we ordered it as a sandwich the next day for lunch. The baklava is made fresh on premises every day. We also loved the Gyro- tender, flavorful. On top of that, the service was fantastic, attentive but not overbearing, and we were able to be seated right away. read more

Food was quick and decently good - albeit the portions of my lamb chop entrée was fairly small and a bit lacking in salt. The lamb was tender and pink - how I like it. Our waitress was nice and prompt but not the bearded male hostess, who seemed to give off a demeanor like our kind (East Asian) was not too welcome to their establishment. Hence his curling index finger "come here" gesture when our table was ready - hey man, we're not dogs! Lots of parking in front, back and around the adjacent area. This is the only middle eastern restaurant in Moab so your pickings for anything ethnic is limited. Come here if you want something different than hamburgers and potatoes which covers 75% of the fare in Moab. read more

Very good gyro and shawarma. Was looking for a good spot in Moab on a drive down. Nice staff and accommodating.

We found Sultan on Yelp! We were so impressed with the ambiance (not a word I use often!) and the food was even better. The server was fantastic, so prompt, professional and she truly seemed to care that we enjoyed ourselves and had a pleasant experience. We had the beef gyros with salad and 3 appetizers (babaganoosh?/tzatziki?/hummus) and the rice pudding. Everything was delicious and beautifully served. My compliments to the owners. read more

Like most food in Moab, it got the job done, but that's about it. * the dolmas (grape leaves) were home made, which was a plus, but they were really soggy. I know how to make dolmas, and IMO, they overcooked them, and they were probably several days old. * The hummus was too runny, but otherwise tasted fine. * The shrimp caserole dish was good, but needed more flavor. The sauce was kind of bland, and was covered in gloopy, bland mozzerella cheese. I'd rather deeper flavor in the sauce, and something other than melted gloopy cheese - feta, or myzithra, or anything that keeps its shape and has a bite when baked would be better. * The za'atar bread was burned, and just tasted dusty - the seasonings on top didn't add much to the flavor. We also had a pretty rude waitress, but whatever, people have an off night sometimes, so that doesn't factor into my review. read more
