I really enjoyed my evening here! Really chill vibes and attentive service. Thank you to Emil for taking such great care of my table. A cool sports bar where you can stay awhile and enjoy the viewing. They have a rooftop dining area too. It was a hot night so I didn't go up there but next time I definitely will. Inside has great air conditioning so it was a relief to come inside. The bar has an unassuming vibe with plastic water cups, plastic silverware, and disposable plates. The food is excellent!!!! We started with fried pickles and they were so good! The chips and salsa were pretty good too. I loved my southwest salad! Everything was so fresh and tasty. You can add a protein so I added their black bean burger and it was delicious! The chipotle ranch dressing was perfect. My friends enjoyed their chicken arugula salad too. Fantastic cocktails! My friends loved their extra dirty martinis. I had the Japanese Slipper cocktail and I really loved it and would order it again. I appreciate that they give you a pitcher with water for your table. They don't have a happy hour but they have some fun daily specials. I was there on a Friday and they had a $5 Pilsner and $10 pizzas. I think this will be such a fun place to watch sports with friends. The red line is close by. I was down the street for an event and I'm really glad we stumbled upon this place. We were in the area and popped in. It was a Saturday night so very busy. We snagged the last table. It seems like a neighborhood place. The bar was full of people in some places double stacked so hard to navigate. We ordered the basics for a late night drinking session. It was average for bar food. Wings and mozzarella sticks. My lovely wife was in the area due to an appointment in the NewCity complex, so she selected Sully's House to have a beer. Since this timed well with the end of my workday on a Friday afternoon, we stayed for food as well. We sat at the bar, and the bartender slowly but surely managed to keep all of us at the bar happily eating and drinking. I just happened to select the $5 beer special that day (Spiteful Alley Time) so I was pleased with that stroke of good fortune. My love was comped one beer because she was accidentally served the wrong beer selection, so she was happy with that too. Our food was not too bad at all, served with thick paper plates and plastic cutlery. My Italian beef was topped with cheese and a side of au jus, and I added on a side of fries which I split with my love as it was a generous portion (with the $4 add-on price, we were glad about the portion size). Don't let the dive bar look fool you- you get great drinks and food for an excellent price and from even better staff. Andy's the well known bartender that'll treat you right at this no-frills spot for drinks and grub. TVs are available for sports watching, and music is nice and not too loud either. I've so far had the fried pickles, Greek salad, and southwest fried chicken wrap with tots- all amazing bar food. Not the kind you typically get at other dive bars where you question if it was from a frozen aisle at the grocery store! The margarita is tasty and refreshing too. I've spent many Sundays frequenting Sully's after softball. It's your average bar but it has an excellent rooftop and lots of patio space. With the Covid environment, the extra patio space is ideal. They have sanitizer when you walk in, employees with masks and gloves, and washed down menus. Sully sticks and pizza was as good as always. For being average, 3 stars, the 4th is for the rooftop and friendly staff. Right now they don't offer pitchers of beer or water. Only selling water for $2 a bottle which seems extreme. After a long touristy day of walking, I ordered the lamb wrap. I was fairly disappointed by the fact that the protein was a bit mushy and more of a condiment rather than the main event. My roommate and I wanted to go to a bar in our area to become more familiar with our area! We specifically were on the hunt for jalapeño poppers and Gin & Tonics. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner's son (very handsome), and were seated. Despite there not being more than 2 people in the bar (around 5pm when we arrived), it felt comfortable and homey. Our server was the absolute sweetest, made us laugh, and was easy to talk to. Their jalapeño poppers were delicious and served with a chipotle ranch that I even took home!! Bar started to fill up with a ton of people from the neighborhood around 6-7pm, get there before the crowd! We had such a great time we even went back around 1am after our night of drinking. We tried Sully's House a year ago and had a great meal and have been talking about coming back for ages. We finally did last weekend, and we had yet another great time. I've stuck with the salads there - the Southwest Salad with fried chicken was great and my husband loved the skirt steak tacos. He thought the salsa/tomatillo sauce was wonderful. Overall score 4/5 I came to this place during one of the Florida Gator games since I heard this was a Gator watch bar. If this weren't a Gator bar, admittedly I would still come. It's clean, large, looks like a traditional sports bar, has TV screens everywhere, has a large back room with a super big screen and even a basketball arcade game. During the Gator games, they are super festive and really get into it playing all types of Gator themed music. They have freebies that you can take, they sell Chicago Gator shirts, and everyone was super nice. The service was quick, super quick actually from order to receipt of food or drinks even during this busy time. The server we had seemed like she was taking care of the whole house alone but she seemed to have gotten everything down. The food was your typical bar food, nothing fancy, but hits the spot, again like I said I would come back even to not watch the games. It's hard for me to give bar food a 4/5 and I don't think I've ever given a place anything higher than a 3.5 so anything 3.5 for bar food to me is pretty good. Went for Sully's grand opening party for their new rooftop last night! And I must say this is one of the nicest rooftops around. Unexpected were the big cushy couches upholstered in a rich brown with cute blue and brown polka dotted pillows strewn about (see pic). It was like sitting on a friend's rooftop with everyone being so accommodating and friendly. We grabbed a seat in the corner and watched the world go by. Service was as good as it usually is downstairs and while it wasn't set up like it will normally be (parties have a way of moving things around) the space is large and will definitely go on my rooftop consideration list in the future. And the good news? There are single stall bathrooms up on this level so no need to climb back down the somewhat dark stairway when you need a break. As for that stairway- watch yourselves. Someone is going to take a tumble as it is pretty dark and very steep. Hang on to the railing ladies! To my knowledge there is nothing else like this in is this neighborhood. I know the owner has been waiting a long time to get this rooftop open. And let me tell you . . . . .it was worth the wait! read more

We stopped in here one Sunday afternoon just to have a few beers and watch the football games. We walked in and went straight to the bar which was full but we worked our way in to order our brews then planned to go upstairs on the roof. Well the roof was closed and the bartender was anything but friendly. He poured my beer and it was over half foam so I asked him if he could re-pour it and the bitchy look he gave me reminded me of my teenage daughters. We eventually found our way outside were they had 1 TV playing one of the games so we sat down at a table to enjoy our brews. A waitress came out to check on us but we didn't plan to eat just have a beer and watch the game. She was cool and let us know if we needed anything. While we didn't eat, the menu looked as one would expect from a bar and grill. Seemed like a fun place minus the bitchy man bartender and roof being closed. Seems like a decent game for a small group to catch a game and participate in libations. Also, there are a few vegetarian options on the menu including veggie tacos, toasted veggie quesadillas and several salads if you're vegan. Went here to watch a Sunday NFL game. Food was fine - got chips and salsa and the chicken Caesar wrap and it was good but nothing special. Service was friendly and attentive, especially considering that the team was pretty understaffed. My major complaint is that all of the food was served on paper plates, plastic utensils, etc. WTF? I'm not sure if their dishwasher was broken or something, but if this is the norm it's pretty inexcusable from an environment standpoint for dine-in service. read more

Sully's House is what you would picture when you think of a college sports bar. I've been to Sully's for a Bears game and recently for a night of drinking. The inside of Sully's is dark (i.e. dark paint, furniture, etc.) but they have a lot of seats and tv's. My friends and I visited on a Saturday night before the place got really crowded. The front of the house was packed but the back was completely empty. My friends and I were glad that the drinks were reasonably priced. Make sure you're extra nice to the bartenders because they definitely will show favoritism when dishing out drinks. I noticed some people were able to get the same drink but in different glasses for the same price. The music they were playing was great for a Saturday night. I can see Sully's coming more alive later in the evening. I can see myself coming back here when I'm in the neighborhood and craving a cheap drink. read more

This was my second time here. My boyfriend and I, well really it was just my boyfriend, wanted to watch the Dayton basketball game but the Dayton bar was already packed so we decided on Sully's because it's easy to find parking and close by. We were worried that they wouldn't want to put on the game for us because it was 7pm Friday night and both the Bulls and Hawks were playing, but surprisingly the bartender had no issue with it! The place wasn't super slammed but fairly busy. I really like the bar atmosphere in general. It's pretty mellow and got more busy as the night went on. Anyways, I did not really enjoy the food. I had the pulled pork quesadillas and b=my boyfriend had the Sully's BLT. Just your typical greasy bar food, nothing wrong with that though. read more

The place was a little loud for my taste but I think there was a football game that alumni from the university of Florida were watching. I have been going to Sully's house for many years. I like it because it is a friendly, local establishment and close to where I play volleyball. I have gotten used to the sometimes mediocre food and slow service but we had a particularly bad experience last week. It was Monday night after our volleyball league. It is generally pretty busy on Monday nights after the games (I don't think we are the only league who plays in the area) are over so we've learned to be patience. This Monday however, the bartender was literally the only person taking orders. He had a full bar and a full restaurant. We waited nearly 20 minutes for our food and drink orders to be taken. I ordered the chicken fingers and fries. Don't get me wrong, their fries are awesome. Crispy and yummy. The chicken fingers aren't half bad. My friends had wings- also good. The problem was the bill. Nothing irritates me more then when a menu says one price and the restaurant rather than updating the menu just charges more. So my $9 chicken fingers were $10 and I was charged (without notice) an extra $1 for the fries instead of tots. It was not listed on the menu nor did my server mention it. I'm not usually one to complain about $2 (I recognize I am fortunate not to have to worry about it) but from a customer service standpoint it wasn't very appealing. I get tired of bad customer service. If you know that Monday's are busy, have an extra server on. Your slacking on service will cost you customers. There are so many bars and restaurants to pick from in this city, I wouldn't want to give people a reason to go elsewhere. read more
