Had lunch Friday. Wife ordered 2 piece dark meat broasted chicken and home made chips with slaw. Said it was delicious. I had the Italian bomber with fries. The bomber is so good. It has melted cheese and onions, and green peppers. Seasoned just right. I order this often and it is always consistent. They also offer home made pizzas. They have a excellent fish fry and a fish and chicken combo. Their soups are flavorful. Had clam chowder Friday to go. Added it to our walleye catch. read more

I've been here a few times, and it is.. alright. The staff is friendly, though the service is a little slow. The prices are surprisingly high for this being such a small town place, and a prominent sign on the wall indicates that drink prices include sales tax, and yet additional sales tax was included on our bill. The biggest downside for me is the noise. This is an extremely noisy bar, with lots of people shouting and yelling over each other and very loudly playing dice at the bar, banging the dice cup over and over. This is understandable, but the dining tables are situated surrounding the bar, so there's no way to escape the noise and there's no way to have a conversation with anyone in your party without yelling and then turning your head to hear them. The bar has multiple televisions playing, and big speakers on the wall loudly booming the bass of whatever audio is on the TV, but whatever the TV isn't playing isn't audible anyway over the noise, so why not just mute the TVs and let people watch them without sound for the score of whatever game is on? This would probably help the noise problem a little. read more

I'm very glad the business is able to operate while the Covid is hitting Wisconsin hard. The atmosphere is is casual with the tables spread out and a long bar. The waitress are extremely friendly and hard working. The food was great. I ordered a fajita chicken wrap with regular fries and my review colleague ordered the 3 cheese grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and waffle fries. The prices are very fair. The selection of food is great. They have each day specials also. Sullivan Salloon also has a remodeled deck for outside enjoyment. The bar drink selections are large with multiple beer on tap to choose from. As the Blue Collar Reviewers this bar restaurant fits any blue collar workers pocket book. We ordered take out steaks with fried mushrooms. Mine was supposed to be rare and was cooked to well done. No sign of pink in the meat and dry. There were 5 or six small slices of mushrooms on each steak. My husbands was also well, he had ordered medium. The soup was not included in the bag. This is a family favorite. The food is really good. The burgers are big and juicy. One of my favorites is to go there on Sunday morning and get the eggs with prime rib. The portion is just right, and the prices are very reasonable. Another favorite of ours is the philly or the prime rib sandwich with au jus. (Yes. We like meat). They don't skimp on the meat. My husband and I love this place. A great neighborhood bar with excellent fresh food. Specials everyday but do not miss the fresh broasted chicken and a Friday night fish fry to rival all others. Hamburgers, pizza and a variety of sandwiches, all way above average for a bar. Kids are welcome with their own menu and they have a great selection of beers. This was one of our favorite places for a Friday night fish fry. That is until February 2018. We were there the first night under the new owners. The potato pancakes were horrible. Our server told us the cook was just mixing something up on the fly. The coleslaw changed and wasn't as good, the fish also changed and was not nearly as good. They even messed up the breasted chicken. We have heard similar complaints from other people we know. Have not been back there since. read more

Our third time @Sullivan Saloon and the food was good once again. However, the other 2 times we had dinner there the servers we accommodating and quite pleasant, this time was an entirely different experience. Our server Greg, was lacking in the pleasantries and flat rude not only to us, but to other staff members as well, telling my 18 year old grandson that there was only one refill on his diet Pepsi so he should slow down on it. On one prior visit we got a hambuger served as a lettuce wrap instead of on a bun, due to dietary restriction. Greg informed us "no they don't do that". Also they replaced potatoes with cottage cheese on a prior visit, it's on the salad bar, but again we were told no. Next time we go there if he is the server we will be eating at McDonald's. Although I have been here many times before and have had great food and service, yesterday was the worst food ever. I ordered the special for the day, which was roasted duck. Although the portion was large, initially I thought it was tough, and told the server. After I cut deep into the duck, I found it was red and cold (RAW). I told the server who told me it was not served the way he would have cooked it, and took it back to be cooked more. Ten minutes later he comes back with the duck, but everyone else had already finished their meal. Then came the check. No allowance or credit for serving raw poultry. I was very disappointed!!! We had two great bloody Mary's, breaded mushrooms as an appetizer - he got a burger and I got the broasted chicken dinner. Everything was great, no complaints at all. This is really good bar food, and I've been there several times for lunch. The broasted chicken sandwich (fried chicken) is delicious, and it came with home-made potato chips that were so very good. Iced tea was bottomless. Interesting to watch the bar regulars while you eat. read more

I visited this "establishment" with a group of 15 for a birthday dinner. Reservations were made and a table was set up for us outside. The server took our order and we waited around an hour for our food. Somehow 1/3 of the order was "lost" supposedly due to "a new cook". Our server did not take any responsibility and completely blamed the cook. She retook the remaining orders and it's been another 45 minutes and the food is still not here for the remainder of our party. I will NOT be returning. I honestly can not believe that 5 people's orders got "lost". Very disappointed with the service. read more
