Luke did a great job. He came in and the first thing he said was that my fireplace had never been used. He was right. I explained that I wanted to be sure that it would be good to go before I used it. I don't want it to blow up the first time I light a fire. He tested the gas line. Then he called in his buddy and they did a quick sweep to make sure no critters were living up in there. It took him longer to write up the ticket than to clean my chimney. I will call him back annually to clean it, once I finally use it. read more

When we searched for someone to come out and do a Chimney Sweep, this company had all 5 stars and I see why! Luke was booked for about a month out and I decided to be patient and wait on his services! He's very professional, reasonable and nice! He came out, explained exactly what he was going to do and advised on the proper procedures for how to maintain a safe, clean chimney! I'd definitely recommend him and I will be giving him a call in the future for my chimney sweep! read more

Hired for 2 services- chimney sweep and exterior chimney repair. We initially hired Sullivan to clean the chimney because we were switching from wood burning to gas logs. We were happy that Sullivan also provided some repair services for the chimney exterior. Luke has great integrity- he suggested a repair and explained why and he was totally right! He performed all work efficiently, affordable, and didn't leave a trace that he was here! (He was very clean) read more

I am so happy with the cleaning service. Luke was on time and brought a lot of value to the service. He also checked my sons fireplace who had a previous inspection. He inspected the chimney and told my son what to fix but the fireplace was safe and didn't need cleaning. This is an honest company that doesn't do unnecessary repairs. read more

Great communication, punctual, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. In addition to doing a fantastic job cleaning our fireplace and preparing it for winter, Luke was very patient in explaining what he was doing and answering any and all questions that I had. He was also extremely straightforward and honest, not trying to upsell at all... In fact the absolute opposite, with recommendations that wouldn't make him any additional money but would help us take better care of our chimney ourselves to lengthen the time between services and the need for more expensive services. I will definitely be using him in the future and I highly recommend his company! read more

Luke did an excellent job cleaning a dryer vent. He was prompt, courteous, and very reasonable.

The service was not only well done but Luke was punctual & upfront about the costs before even getting started. I also really appreciated his ability to explain short and long term risks when caring for a chimney. It was clear that he was knowledgeable about his industry overall. We'll definitely be calling him back for our next inspection and maintenance. read more

Really enjoyed getting to connect with Luke. He was honest, sincere, and provided good insight into our fireplace/chimney situation. Although we did not end up using him (due to our scope of work not matching up to his services), we will go back to him when we need cleanings, tune ups, or other services he offers. Highly recommend. read more

Luke visited my house for a basic chimney clean job. After looking at the house and chimney, he was straightforward that he didn't feel comfortable working on my roof (4 story house with a steep roof), which I appreciated him being upfront about. He recommended me to another sweep and gave several good points of advice about my fireplace and what questions to ask the other company. Wish every contractor was as honest as him. read more

Mr. Sullivan is very professional and honest. He took time out of his day to come look at it chimney and give us an honest evaluation of our issues. He is great with responding and communicating. Yelpers, you did not let me down! What a great company, and a great find. Our house inspector told us the chimney and fireplace needed some attention, so I put out a few calls. I admit, I am a wee bit high maintenance as you can tell by my other reviews. Having said that, I was not going to be at the appointment and wanted to make sure my husband did not have to convey what I wanted done. I wanted whomever came out to be crystal clear on that before I agreed to let them come out. Luke was, by far, the easiest to work with, and assured me he would be able to "make me happy" despite the constrains of my modest budget for this project. Despite my usual skepticism, I got a really good feeling from Luke over the phone. He has the best personality - very warm and genuine, yet still professional which I respect and typically respond to. So plans were made and he came out. Joshua's review picks up from there, but I will say the work was done exactly as he said it would be, and the price was reasonable and well within my budget. Luke also educated my husband regarding the care and maintenance of the chimney. Overall, the entire experience was first class, we appreciate everything he did, and I look forward to working with him on future projects in my home. If you need chimney, fireplace or gutter services for your home, you could not choose a better company than Sullivan Chimney Sweep. Thank you Luke! read more

Very pleased with the service of Sullivan Chimney Sweep. Saw their reviews on Yelp and they looked good. We needed to have our dryer duct cleaned so I requested 7 estimates on Yelp. Sullivan responded first and was the least expensive. With their high customer rating I contacted them and they came out when promised. Luke and Steve came in our house and the dogs didn't bark but quickly became best friends with Luke and Steve. Our dogs have always been good judges of character! I know it sounds kinda silly but it's true! When Luke surveyed the roof he noticed one of the tops of our turbines was half off. I asked if he would be able to take care of that too. He said sure. They were efficient, polite and billed me what he promised. THANK YOU GUYS FOR DOING BUSINESS THE OLD FASHIONED WAY!!!! Courtesy, quality and fair!!!! read more

For $120 I am completely satisfied with this chimney sweep service. Luke was honest about how his particular sweep works - it is not a rigid sweep, so not as thorough as a rigid sweep. I will definitely call them again if I need a sweep in the future! read more

I called Sullivan's because of all the reviews I read on Yelp. Every review is spot on. Luke returned my call the following day and we were able to work out a time that best fit both of our busy schedules. Luke took a look at my gas fireplace and then gave me all my options. He was very honest about work that needed to be done and work that was not necessary, basically because he doesn't want to waste his time and he doesn't want his customers to waste their money. Very honest of him! He and Steve make a great team and they were done with their job in just over an hour. I am VERY pleased with the option I went with and cannot wait to use the fireplace tonight! Thank you so much Luke and Steve. I am certain your business will continue to boom! read more

I would highly recommend Sullivan Chimney Sweep. I had a strange scenario that was a bit outside the scope of what Sullivan typically does. He drove all the way out to my place on time and did not charge me for his time since he said he couldn't help my situation. He did give me a great recommendation of who could help! He struck me as a very honest guy. read more

Luke was very informative and took the time to make sure I understood what to expect from the service. I will definitely hire him again.

Luke came to my house yesterday for a chimney cleaning and inspection. I called around to several other chimney services and his prices were the cheapest. He was prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He went to the top and inspected the crown and is coming back to fix the cracks because of his reasonable prices and kind demeanor. I highly recommend using his services if you need your chimney cleaned or inspected. read more

Had my chimney inspected on an old house and had a chimney cap installed. Luke could have lied to me and said I needed a big, expensive job and I wouldn't have known the difference. He's an honest guy and you can tell he takes pride satisfying his customers. If he can help you, he'll let you know how. If he can't, he'll tell you who you need to call for help. Next time I need a chimney job, I'm gonna call Luke and so should you. read more

Called about what I thought was a serious problem, turned out that I wanted a bonfire in my tiny fireplace so smoke of course was filling the house. Called Luke up and he was very prompt at getting back to me to schedule appointment. He did it the next morning, arrived on time, very nice guy and very personable. Made sure to cover the whole area with tarps and cleaned the fireplace, repainted the grate and checked out chimney from inside and the attic. Nothing serious, he just informed me that I need to go smaller on the fires. But in Texas we like everything bigger!! He cleaned all the mess and texted a week later to see if I was still having any problems. He also said he does other jobs around the house so I'll definitely be calling him up for other repairs. read more

Great company and guys to do business with! Luke is very knowledgeable and clearly explained the most cost effective way to get my fireplace back up to snuff. Luke called to let me know he was running a little late and when he got here he was so courteous, professional, and informative. I've never had a fireplace before so we had to have a little tutorial! He's a great teacher, calm and cool demeanor-even my dog liked him right away! He didn't charge me more than what he quoted me and even shimmied up the ladder onto the roof to check out the seals at the top. I'm VERY pleased with Sullivan's service and will recommend them to anyone who needs their services. OUTSTANDING! read more

Luke was very responsive, honest and above all communicated with me through the entire process. He gave me options and allowed me time to consider. My chimney cap had fallen off and even though I had not selected him as the contractor he came and out and put a tarp up through the spring storms just for my peace of mind. His prices were competitive and the job was done right without taking any shortcuts. Highly recommend. Mike H. - Irving, TX read more

Luke was awesome! We called for an inspection and basic cleaning of our fireplace, which we'd never used before since moving into our house 4 years ago. He came to our house ON TIME and did the inspection and cleaning for a very fair price. He showed us some minor cracks and weaknesses in our brick and chimney that he was able to patch and seal (again, for much less than we were expecting) on a 2nd visit and now our fireplace is working great! I'll definitely be using him again for anything else our fireplace needs. Thanks, Luke!! read more
