Sam is truly awesome! Before my appointment, he explained everything I never knew I wanted to learn about dryer vent cleaning -- and now I'm basically an expert He did a great job. First, he checked behind the dryer, then went up into the attic... and that's where the real problem was! The hose that's supposed to connect to the roof vent wasn't fully attached, so lint had been blowing around in the attic instead of going outside. Sam fixed it, secured everything properly, and reassured me there was no fire risk -- but I still freaked out a little. He handled it all calmly and professionally. Then came the lint-blasting through the roof vent -- wow, it was a lot. While he was up there, he even found the opening where "Miss Birdie" and her babies were sneaking into the attic and sealed it up. I happened to be working from home today which never happens and so I tend to have to push off important home tasks so this was really nice of them to come same day around my schedule. I called in for chimney cleaning (it's getting cold outside and I want to use my fireplace), and they also took care of my dryer vent which was great to kill 2 birds with one stone. Sam is amazing! I had a room full of black smoke and he came the next day to Granbury ( 2 days before the ice storm). He found the 'cap' was clogged with dangerous soot. He cleared the clog and had to fix the foundation and add a new cap. His pricing was very reasonable. He also checked our dryer pipe/vent and found it was way too small( a fire waiting to happen) and he solved the problem. Sam was able to come on short notice to fix a problem with our clothes dryer duct. Our duct needed to be cleaned as our dryer was not working well. . We have an old house and he gave me a couple of options to fix the situation. One of the solutions , which he said was the best, was expensive, and he did not push me to pick this solution.
