We took our two younger ones there for a quiet Easter Sunday dinner together. So many interesting things on the menu, we way over ordered. But everything was delicious. We had the pork belly confit, the cheese bread, the octopus, and the parm wings to start. They were all polished off quickly. Our pork belly did seem to have missed a sauce, but we just dipped them with the cheesy bread sauce and was very happy. My son ordered a few different skews and thoroughly enjoyed his Picanha, sausage and cheese and chicken heart. My youngest said the chicken hearts were the best she had ever tried. High praise from a kid loving chicken heart since just a tiny tod. My wife and I both ordered the ribeye over mushroom risotto. We order medium rare and both of ours came perfectly done. Both our kids thoroughly enjoyed trying our steak and risotto. My daughter and I both enjoyed mixing my son's Yucca mash with the risotto. She practically scrapped my plate clean. We all had our eyes on the pineapple, but all agreed we were overstuffed and will defer to next time. We even had leftovers to bring home to one happy Puppy. Will definitely return!

Always a warm welcome once you arrive, Ember & Alma is not only a place to get delicious food but a spot where you can feel connected and a sense of belonging. Whether you're settling in for a quiet date night or a leisurely dinner with loved ones, the cozy atmosphere wraps around you like a warm embrace. But it's the food and drink that truly steal the show. The menu is a love letter to Brazilian and South American cooking -- bold, soulful, and bursting with creativity. Every dish tells a story of a rich culinary tradition, taking you on a journey from bright, sweet notes all the way through to deep, satisfying umami. Both the cocktail menu and non-alcoholic offerings match this spirit, offering drinks that are every bit as thoughtfully crafted as the plates they accompany. If there's one dish that captures everything Ember & Alma stands for, it's the bananas bravas. Memorable in the truest sense of the word, they are the kind of thing you find yourself thinking about days later, and the reason you'll inevitably find yourself making a reservation to return.

Overall the food tasted pretty healthy despite having pork belly and chorizo. The seasoning was definitely on the lighter side, where the french onion soup was tasting pretty close to an extremely light broth. Tried the cassoulet which I've heard of before but never seen on a menu. It was very hearty but also a but bland. Pulled pork and pork belly seemed to have zero salt. Duck leg confit also very bland. It was cooked well but just bland. The dishes with citrus were quite tasty. Beets and arugala salad very good, good quality goat cheese. Alligator chorizo grilled oysters surprisingly good. Never had alligator chorizo before but it was crispy and not fatty even though it resembled bacon visually. The oysters were small, even more small in comparison to the chorizo but it was a good bite. I would recommend skipping the clam chowder, french onion soup (not really caramelized onions to be honest), and the cassoulet unless you feel empowered to salt your own food. The clientele was definitely in the 60+ range. Nothing wrong with that obviously but tastes change with age and maybe thats why the seasoning was so light. Today there were just two wait staff for the whole place. Seemed understaffed and it took almost thirty minutes for food to come out. Waiting for the check took about fifteen minutes. Staff was nice but definitely overloaded. Today was a holiday though.

We had a reservation for a celebratory dinner, and I commented to ask if the special would still be on for that date. The chef/owner responded immediately that it would. Knowing specials often run out quickly, I called on the morning of the reservation, and a hostess said, yes, the special was still on. So we got there, we ordered, and we asked for the special -- the waitress said she'd confirm, and then came back and just said 'no, it was just for that day,' which was confusing. I explained that the chef and the hostess had confirmed that it was still on the menu and asked if it had run out -- again, understandable -- and she said it 'was just something we made for an influencer.' At that point, I didn't want to press the two 'no' answers, so we finished the dinner and moved on. I reached out privately after the fact as I wanted to see if there was a better way I could have communicated to the restaurant or asked for clarification, and asked if there was a better way to confirm information moving forward, and they never responded. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.

Coach Grill is a fun place for a casual or nice night out…read more Ambiance/Atmosphere: busy, social, and LOUD! Not for intimate dinners. The place is busy and happening. Dark wood, old school vibe. Waiters in classic attire. Nice closed off entry way to avoid massive drafts and precipitation if the weather is bad. Somewhat tight seating between tables. Website recommends dressy casual or business casual, discourages t-shirts, but quite a few folks not following the dress codes. Not so stuffy they'd make you wear a sports coat they have on hand. Service: Fair - not good or great though not awful. Attentive server we had, knowledgable, relatable. Often long periods between seeing her during a prime time dinner reservation. Not a lot of assistants coming by, mostly people delivering food or fill water, didn't have much capacity or scope to help otherwise except to see if they could find our server. Food: Some big hits and some very decent misses. French onion soup a hit. Standard solid execution. Oysters were shucked okay. A little bit more broken shell than I'd like at that price, but more importantly often dry and without the brine. A couple were annihilated in the shucking. Caesar salad was dry without any dressing in sight, didn't have much flavor except for the anchovies which were way too potent without dressing. Crab crusted haddock was a big hit. Delicious. Filet was good. Beef Wellington very good. Perfect beef, very flaky pastry, sauce was excellent -- not over or under seasoned - and juicy mushroom caps. Salmon was fine. Creamed spinach we ordered they ran out of and we didn't get notified until right before entrees came out. Bummer. Mashed potatoes were sad -- tasted like they were powdered from a box. Very little butter, under-seasoned, watery. Didn't finish half of it. Drink: Decent wine list. Not as extensive as I was expecting given their awards. Prices were often pretty high. 6oz and 9oz pours for some inexpensive by the glass wines was shocking. Some good deals to be had in the Portugal/Italian sections. Price: High for the value, food, and service. Really wanted to give the place 4 stars but the constellation of missteps, disappointments, and price for the experience... just couldn't do it!

Tried the chicken karage (huge portions), shrimp tempura (5), Tod mun goong app (very tasty chicken and shrimp nugget) my favorite. Pad See Ew came with generous portion of grill pork - tasty. Ba Mee Nam is a wonton soup ramen noodle (wonton has shrimp and chicken). Choice of grilled pork or chicken, generous portion of meat. Packed nicely for takeout. Broth was very nice. It is so nice Chinese broccoli was in several of our dishes, perfectly cooked and crunchy. What a treat. Khao Kha Moon - save for another meal, rice dish with braised pork and veggies and egg. Restaurant interior is very simple but cozy. Will definitely order again.

To get a second beverage was hard. Waitress would see empty drinks but not ask. I had to get up to find her and ask for drink. At the end, the food I ordered to go was not in the bag. I was charged for everything and even gave a 20% tip because I felt bad for a kid waitress. BUT then trying to call and talk to a manager about getting the food I paid for went bad. No one spoke English Friday or Saturday. There was no manager and I was told I have to speak the owner Harry. However, they would not provide contact info for Harry or any way to communicate with Harry.
