I tried really really hard to give this place the benefit of the doubt but after 3 times I have to say that this place is unequivocally terrible. Just small portions of mediocre(at best food). Service was good ok, the older is is an owner I'm assuming. She was very nice. I've eaten a lot of Thai food and this place ranks waaay at the bottom. read more

This is an honest review. The food was below average, taste wise. Pad thai was not that good. Pad woon sen was average. We love thai food and been to thailand so we know how it should taste like :( fried egg roll serving was really few, not to mention that there is barely anything inside. Had my birthday dinner here with some friends. It's a small place kinda tugged away. It's clean and the table setting was nicely done. I've been here once before many years ago, got the tom ca soup I believed and really enjoyed it. Full of seafood and was perfect for that cold night. I don't go around that area a lot so forgot about it but always remembered that soup. Was looking for restaurants in Arlington for my Birthday and saw this place on Yelp. Decided to give it another try. I got the tom yum soup this time. It was pretty good. I try to compare it to Thailand cause that was pretty much all I ate in Thailand but have not found a place as good around here. This place came closest compared to other tom yum so that was nice. Their medium was a little too spicy for me. Everyone else got various things and they finished it so I think overall it was a good experience. The waitress was also very nice and pleasant. read more

As the current DUKE of Sukhothai (as of 8:52 am, 4/13/2012), I proclaim this the best Thai restaurant between Dallas and Fort Worth. It's a family-run operation with the friendliest people, the most delicious AUTHENTIC food and they're not afraid to turn on the heat (spice) which I love. You'll be asked if you want your food Mild, Medium, Hot or Thai-hot. Their lunch specials are very affordable, quickly served and consist of great portions! The Chili-Garlic chicken is fantastic and I don't know how they make the sauce/gravy but I could put that stuff in a thermos and sip it all day! read more

No, really. Five stars. It's that good. While enjoying a hot bowl of tangy, spicy seafood soup, I often wonder if they're not secretly putting cocaine in the food--it's as addictive as it is delicious. Another favorite is the basil chicken, oh, and there's the yellow curry chicken with sweet onions and soft potatoes. No matter what dish really, you can't go wrong. A few of my coworkers have experienced slow service, but I've never had a problem. The owners are always kind and happy to see me when I come in. Don't forget to try the thai iced tea! This is probably the best Thai in Arlington. It's your basic bare-bones awesome byob treasure. The Prix-king is fabulous. The Pad Thai is unusual, so if you like a traditional one, I would recommend getting another dish. Everything is good. read more

This place is a dang good and a reasonably priced Thai restaurant. The owners have had this place for like 11 or 13 years I think she said. I always seem to find Thai places that are good, then it switches owners and goes to crap- apparently this place is not like that. Yay! Stability +1 Environment: It's a smaller type restaurant with less privacy, perhaps 15-20 tables or so. Dinner and entertainment involves listening to the table across the room enjoying their wine and discussing how they have become more liberal in the more recent years and how Republicans water-boarded same certain people over a hundred times just for fun. Tsk tsk. Yummy ingredients: I noticed kaffir lime leaves in my soup and asked the waitress where they purchased the stuff cause I had the darndest time trying to find it. She told me the owners have a greenhouse where they grow their own herbs: lemongrass, basil, and the lime leaves! Probably galangal too, but ya- garden grown ingredients: +1 Ordered: Thom Kha Gai (spelling) soup. Very tasty- still like mine better, but that's typical. Split a bowl- fun thing to do. It serves about three cups. Massaman Curry w/ chicken. I'd never tried this kind of curry. I think its my new favorite. They did a good job. My only gripe would be that it only came with a cube of rice about the size of a stick of butter. Not enough to soak up all that yummy curry sauce. Jasmine rice is pricey and has gone up over the years... but still... bit of a bummer. Noodles- the wide rice kind, with beef. We all agreed this was the best dish we ordered. Its the second dish on the noodles page. I can cook, but for some reason I cannot do noodles even close to this. They did an awesome job. Also- if you plan on getting these noodles, the flavor really goes well with beef. I almost got chicken but glad I didn't. I'd go back for these noodles. read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did. The place was clean and the lady who took my takeout order was super nice and even brought me a glass of water while I waited. I ordered my thai staple dish, which I gauge thai restaurants by....spicy basil noodles. I always order it with beef....but this rendition was the blandest I've had anywhere- no tomatoes, no green bell peppers to be found....simply beef (which was thick and chewy), onions, basil and flat noodles....where were the other ingredients? I was disappointed.....it is no Royal Thai in Dallas. I may give it another shot and try a different dish.....but their spicy basil noodles is probably the worst I've ever had, sad to say. Best Thai that I have had in a long time. I had Pad Thai, my wife had Tom Kha soup, and our boys shared the pineapple fried rice (with chicken). We all enjoyed it. The service was wonderful. We were well tended to, the staff was comfortable with our boys (6 and 3), and we didn't have to wait long for anything. Men's room was in good shape (I didn't look in the ladies' room). read more

Arlington seems to be blessed with some great Thai places. This one is no exception, and I admit I've only been here for lunch 4 or 5 times (work 2nd shift) but will make it for full menu first chance I get. Based on what I've had so far, I'm impressed with this small, quiet and friendly spot on this side of town. I walked in and there is a couple and myself. I'm thinking "that's okay, it's a weekday. Not everyone wants Thai food on a regular basis." I sit down and order my drink, then once I received my drink I place an order for my chicken panang curry. The panang curry itself states good, I've had better but it was good. The disappointing thing was the fact that all I had in my dish was chicken and the curry with a side of white rice. Typically when I order my curry dishes in various Thai restaurants, they usually have some kind of vegetables to it. Even the menu on yelp said that there should be peas, carrots, red pepper, onions, and basil. Um yeah, I didn't see any of those in my dish. I hurriedly ate all my chicken and most of curry sauce then left. I'll most likely never go back because I live in Irving and was stopping by just to eat Thai because I was craving it and I was in the area. read more

Good authentic thai food. Very small family-owned joint. It's pretty spicy. You get a choice of medium, hot, or thai hot. I'm a midwest white boy, but I do like spicy food. I ordered the green curry medium, and I think I lost about ten pounds in water weight from sweating. It looked like I just got out of the pool. I can't even imagine what the "thai hot" is like. When I worked and lived nearby...a few years back...I used to crave this place daily! It's so freaking delicious. You would really not know it either. It's in a super low key, kind of run down shopping center. Blink and you will miss it. Step inside and see what they have to offer! It's a charming little place with some tasty Thai food. We came because our dear friend loves this place and it was her birthday. It was good solid Thai but not great. The Tom Ka Gai, was okay. The mushrooms tasted stale. Like they had been dried, gone stale and then rehydrated. The broth was good, could have gone a little deeper into the flavor for me. The spice was right on. We had an outstanding Thai Iced Tea, perfect! I had the red curry with chicken, it was very good. Not a shareable portion. My husband and kids shared the Pad See Ew, not very much for how much you pay. Needed more noodles. The chicken was tasty, but the entire dish tasted too much like soy sauce. I have had much better. Come here for lunch today. I was aware that there quite a few places to eat here but I have been always unsure about it... Today I become a fan of this little place. Really nice place to pick up or seat and eat a quick lunch for a great price! The lady serving was also very attentive. The food is very tasty and there is quite a variety! I had the lunch special, soup, spring roll, main dish, and a diet coke for less than $10. read more

We LOVE Sukho Thai!! We eat here several times a month! The restaurant is byob so it's easy to grab a bottle of wine at the TomThumb next door and enjoy it over dinner. The Pad Thai is delicious! Happened upon this place a few months ago. Very unassuming, small joint. But the food is incredible. Probably the best Thai food I've ever had. It's probably not a place to go if you're in a huge hurry - especially on the weekends. But worth the wait!! I highly recommend the coconut soup - it's to die for! This place is one of the most authentic Thai restaurants that I've been to. It's not fancy but it's extremely clean. I would say this place is def. underrated and deserves a chance. It's owner operated and they're very sweet and professional. I tried this place on a whim and I'm glad I did. They're take out is great. Their portions are not too big. The Pad Thai isn't great and the portion is pretty small. It tastes almost vinegar-y. I got my food to go and asked for no ice in my Thai tea. I saw my bill and asked why she doubled the price for my drink. She said she doubles the amount of tea if I don't get ice. What was disappointing was that she never asked me if that was okay. I told her to just give me the normal portion with no ice. I included a photo of how much tea she ended up giving me at full price. Hardlu half a to go cup. Most places won't penalize you for asking for no ice and just happily give it to you. She ended up over charging me. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH IT. She gave me my new amount to pay her but didn't give me a receipt. When I added it up myself, it was still higher than I was supposed to pay. Sorry, but if you want my business you probably shouldn't overcharge me when all I asked for was no ice. Thai Basil Leaf is just down the street and does a lot better. read more

So we have just found a new favorite local place! Quaint and informal but very clean interior. The food was delicious. And serving proportions were just about right. You can see the generous serving of seafood in the pineapple curry. Cute little bricks of steamed rice served with entrees. My husband had the massamen curry with chicken and finished it off. We came when they first open around 11. I ordered pad thai and my boyfriend ordered sweet and sour beef from lunch menu. They were both terrible! The noodle was hard and crunchy, not soft like other restaurant. His food was literally a big plate with some vegetables and a pile of sweet and sour sauce that anyone could buy and dump it in. I was very disappointed today with the food quality... i l use to eat here frequently when I lived nearby. I was excited to be in the area to eat there again... my excitement soon changed. I ordered chicken panang Curry and pad prick king to go. Arriving at my friends office a few minutes later, to share. We were very displeased, the panang curry was bland, no flavor, and watery. Don't really know what all the excitement is about, we found this place to be incredibly average. Not bad, good, but just average. The coconut chicken soup was nice but the other dishes were somewhat bland. The thai beef salad was just beef and cilantro on a bed of iceberg lettuce and the meat was not well seasoned. The chicken with thai noodles was about the same, there just was some kind of seasoning missing, bland. Service was slow but very friendly and helpful. read more

Well, if you like to pay for overpriced small meals, this is the place. My sister and I went there for a quick asian food fix and boy were we upset. We ordered three dinner items to share family style. Tom yum seafood soup was too sour, not spicy and lacked spices. Chicken pad Thai tastes like they cooked it with ketchup, an odd ingredient to over power a nutty dish. Giving this place two stars for the flavorful glass noodle salad. Really small portion but lots of flavor and refreshing. All our dishes seemed like they were maybe a lunch portion so the prices seem absurd. Despite kind of flavorless chicken satay, the place is quite good! And I like to call it Suck Ho, because seriously, the name looks drrrty. I got my Thai usual of Pad See Ew which wasn't too greasy, the right level of spiciness, and more than enough for leftovers. Thai tea was as good as any I've had. The waitress was openly amused when my bf ordered his food at the highest level of spiciness which I thought was cute; it was like on Modern Family when Cam orders the really spicy Colombian food and the waiter is like "this is not for you."
