I've walked past Suited numerous times thinking it's only a coffee shop. It's so much more! Their brunch plates are innovative, big portions and moderately priced. My friend was visiting from out of town and we caught up over a great brunch. We ordered the Breakfast Plate ($16) and Eggs Florentine ($16) - you can add smoked salmon for an extra $7 and it's so worth it. I'll be back to try the pancakes and fried chicken sandwich. The owner or manager was sitting with his family on a Saturday morning and helping take orders when it got busy. Love supporting a thriving small business. Coffee with oat milk runs you about $7-8 but it's good coffee. Par for the course and comparable to Blue Bottle or La Colombe in both taste and worth. I love Suited! I live in Tribeca and often come to FiDi for appointments, and Suited is my favorite area spot for specialty coffee. The owner and the employees here clearly know their stuff and understand coffee, sourcing it, preparing it, and making drinks very well. It's always a pleasure to come here and talk to Michael or Lorenzo about the beans they have on selection and listen to their recommendation on what to get that day. Beyond that, the interior design is beautiful, clean, and well thought out, and they have yummy pastries and a pretty full menu and kitchen for brunch and lunch foods too. The non-coffee drinks are also quality - they have Dona Chai, for example. Give this place a try! read more

I had a very bad experience at Suited Cafe this morning, a staff in the Cafe was very unfriendly. I am a bit nearsighted and I wasn't wearing glasses, so I couldn't see the menu on the wall clearly. I asked this lady if there's a paper menu, and she impatiently replied, "No". I told her it's a bit difficult to see the menu on the wall, not only did she not provide any help, but she also showed extreme impatience. No matter what question I asked her, she would deny it and respond loudly with a valley girl accent, basically she was trying to make me feel that my question was very stupid. She even rolled her eyes to show her contempt. I have lived in New York for more than 10 years and have not written any negative reviews for service staff, because I have not had any unpleasant experiences. I was shocked by the lady's attitude. I've been living in the area for three years. I used to occasionally visit this restaurant, but haven't come over in the past few months. The restaurant is quite good, both in terms of food and drink quality. I just don't understand why the shop owner would hire such a mean, rude and impolite person? Due to the impatient attitude of this lady, I rushly ordered breakfast without seeing the menu clearly,as I didn't eat pork and beef, I left without taking a few bites. read more

My gf and I came here for breakfast while doing a practice run to her work. It is a little classy cafe in the financial district! We shared the the sausage egg and cheese sandwich and the lemon ricotta pancakes. Both were absolutely phenomenal! We both got iced coffees, which were good. It's Simple Very little space to sit but it works. Coffee is perfection every time. Company said best chi latte they ever had so plus. Breakfast burritos aren't amazing but did the job. Step into an oasis of peace and delicious food and drinks. Love the aesthetic - it's a small space but it's laid out so well, it doesn't feel crowded. There is a serene feeling. Lovely baked goods sit behind the counter, and the chocolate croissant was fantastic. The coffee is great, with nut and oat milk options available if you ask. I also ordered green juice (which comes in a bottle). Great spicy Caesar salad, and the granola bowl is simply delicious. The tartness of the yogurt reminds me of homemade yogurt, and the fresh fruit and honey and granola were all perfect. Suited's coffee is always spot on & their focaccia is out of this world-simple but so satisfying. I would like to see more vegan options & soy milk as an offering. Suited has very friendly employees. It also has the cards one can earn a free coffee from. I work in the neighborhood part time & do not get to go daily. That being said I went yesterday, 4/7/23 at 12:30 & the female barista knew exactly who I was & how I like my coffee. That is true professionalism right there. I was really flattered & thrilled. I came here - first and foremost, to try the coffee - per a barista friend's recommendation. Suited takes their coffee seriously. They source from some of the best roasters in New York, and also have some coffees from international roasters as well. I was able to chat about the coffee's flavor/texture/etc as well as about the shop's machine/equipment with one of the baristas there. He was knowledgeable and happy to chat with us, all the while managing to serve the many customers who kept streaming in-and-out of the shop. I'm glad they still have some washed options available -- maybe it's because I'm having a slew of naturals lately but I've been finding myself gravitating towards the clarity more often present in washed. New York's café scene feels intrinsically different in atmosphere to that of Portland's, so it feels a little unfair to take that approach in my review here. Whereas Portland cafés do tend to be a little slower in pace, the ones I visited in New York were all focused on quick and efficient service, which Suited definitely had. I LOVED their egg sandwich. The brioche bun was fluffy and the eggs were whipped into a firm but delicate scramble. Overall, I'll definitely visit again when I'm in the New York area to see what other guest roasters they're featuring, and more importantly, have an excellently brewed cup of coffee. read more

Ok y'all! It may not make sense why people are raving about a coffee shop, but this place is it. I love to treat myself to a luxurious breakfast some mornings and this place makes me feel pampered (to steal someone else's word). The shop is tastefully decorated to be both cozy, inviting, and upscale. The service is impeccable. The food is so well done. But the real reason I keep coming here is for the scrambled eggs lol. People do not know how to make scrambled eggs. They are usually a hard, dry tasteless mess or a pile of slop. But not here - perfectly salted, deliciously wet, delicately layered. I'm obsessed! Wow what a hidden gem in FiDi! Came for brunch, for coffee, got a cold brew + oat milk, and for food, got the sausage egg and cheese sandwich as well as the crispy chicken sandwich. I've had this place saved for a long time and finally got the chance to go. This cafe is very cute and modern but over $5 for a cortado is absolutely absurd! It is such a small amount of coffee and I have only ever paid $4 max for one. Additionally, I thought I would be able to sit and do some work on my laptop here, but there's no Wi-Fi, so if you're looking for a co-working cafe, this isn't an option. read more

This place was cool and super cute! I love the name and the logo which was a tie! This is an espresso shop. They did not have any coffee but they did have a variety of espresso hot and cold drinks and they also have some food which I would have loved to try! The person who took our order was so nice and created some small talk while our lattes were getting prepared. There is seating and I though there was actually a good amount for NYC. Our lattes were great! One of the best lattes. I have had. Just tastes very fresh and a little on the stronger side. I am so glad we found this place and would love to come back! read more

This place has all the essentials of a go-to cafe - delicious coffee that hits the spot, fresh house made yogurt & granola, and friendly staff that you can joke around with. Plus, the marble top tables and the cute plates / silverware add the perfect touch. I got my usual flat white and the yogurt. I love it when the coffee is flavorful without being too rich or bitter. The house made yogurt had coconut, apples, pears, kiwi, and granola - I actually bought a bag of granola after because I thought it was so yummy! Too bad I can't buy some tubs of their yogurt too... Place is new and friendly with outdoor seating. People rave about the lemon chicken salad so I ordered it I thought it was a little plain just walnuts and chicken and lettuce would've been better if they added cheese or beats or anything. The fall grain bowl was much tastier and interesting. The green juice was also very good. I'll definitely go back and try other things pretty limited menu. read more

Walking down on a post covid - deserted John Street on a hot summer afternoon, I noticed this new coffee shop, Suited. So I gave it a try. Inside it looks very nice and bright. I got a cappuccino and one Cannelle, a little pastry that reminds me of custard. Oh boy, that was so good I got two more! Cappuccino was served in a very unique mug and I enjoyed it on the outside tables. Had the chance to talk to the guy behind the counter and he was super, super nice. This is my new go to coffee shop in the area. Highly recommend!!! read more

This place is known as one of the better coffee places in the Financial District but I have to say I did not enjoy my espresso drinks at all. I got the cortado the first time and it tastes straight up sour - I was not sure it was the beans they used or if it was under extracted but it was surprisingly sour to me. I understand acidic coffee is popular but my cortado was so sour it was hard to drink. My husband got an iced americano and it tasted extremely watered down. We went again a second time to see if we got an unlucky espresso pull but the same thing happened with my cappucino and his americano. The milk helped subdue the sourness of the espresso for me, but it definitely is not my first choice for coffee in the area. The americano was a very light color compared to what we were used to and acidic as well. I will say, the interior is great! Beautiful and modern and the food looks delicious. Since this place has such great reviews, I'm just not sure if we were unlucky twice or just don't like their sour beans read more

The perfect breakfast go to spot! I got the iced matcha with oat milk and my boyfriend ordered a latte with almond milk. The detail in their latte art is exceptional and the ambiance is a perfect spot to grab a cup and joe with friends. If good coffee isn't the perfect excuse to stop by, their breakfast surely is. Espresso aficionados rejoice! This place weighs their espresso shots. I saw the scale myself Indoor dining is available, but can get crowded. I ordered a cortado with oat milk and personally it tasted a little sour and under extracted, but it was definitely drinkable. I saw the reviews mentioned the canelles often, so i got them, and honestly they werent that great. Kind of soggy I wish I had ordered something else from the bakery. read more

Wow - what a gem! Have been wanting to try this spot for ages and finally got the chance on a trip up from DC. Staff was friendly, food was excellent and the coffee was - unsurprisingly - the best I've had in a while. On this trip we had the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and the pancakes. Both were outstanding and hard to pick a favorite!! Can't wait to try more of the menu on more trips. 10/10 recommend this spot - welcome reprieve to the monotony of other places downtown/in FiDi. I thought this place was fine I would actually give it 3.5 stars and not 3. I had the hot cocoa and the sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Total with tip that came out to just over $20. The restaurant was very clean and nice and the food came out quickly. I wasn't overly blown away by either of the things I purchased. Would maybe try something else there the next time I'm in the area. read more

I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.

Located in between 33rd and 34th on 2nd Ave. Close to my sons apartment... for some reason, I always find myself here at least once when I'm in town. It's fun, and it's close with a fun vibe.

The inside looked really nice with some nice pictures on the wall and lots of space for seating. They also have a downstairs that has a bar and plenty of seating. We just ordered a few Aperol Spritz and chilled at the bar. The drinks tasted really good. Hard to mess that up but you never know. They had music playing from something in the background which was really good. The bartenders were alway asking if we needed anything so that was good. We didn't order any food but the plates that we saw looked really good. Definitely a place you need to check out if your looking for a cool spot to drink and get some bites to eat. They also have a good happy hour and from the looks of it a nice brunch with bottomless mimosas. Have to come check out this place if your in town or live near the area.
