Loved my wedding cake from Sugarlips! The tasting and ordering process was fun and tasty. From that point they took our idea to life and everything turned out better than hoped. I like to pop in from time to time for single serve cupcakes or for my kids' school events. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Highly recommend. read more

We ordered a cake for our daughters 1st birthday and it was amazing. The only direction we gave for decoration was a copy of the invitation. Needless to say they went above and beyond all expectations. It was the cutest cake ever. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm so glad we had them make her cake. read more

Sugarlips is the best! We ordered a cake for my husband's 50th birthday party. The cake looked just like we wanted! And tasted amazing! Their frosting is SO GOOD! Not overly sweet but just right. We had 2 layers. One was vanilla with mocha mousse filling; the other was chocolate with peanut butter filling. The vanilla was great but that chocolate cake was the BOMB! We recieved many compliments on how good it was. Thank you to everyone at the cakery! We loved it and definitely recommend them if you're having an event. read more

I recently ordered 2 dozen cupcakes for a twin birthday party from a Groupon, half price. When you get the Groupon you cannot order beforehand but go in and pick from the case. I ordered a variety of every flavor. Every single one of them was amazing and delicious. They were a huge hit at the party. Afterword I froze the remaining three and they were delicious days later. The friendly staff was delightful on a stressful day for me. I highly recommend this local cupcake shop. read more

This place is probably one of my favorite bakeries in the valley. Not only because they are able to execute some of the most difficult requests for cake decorations and cupcake decor, but also because they have amazing customer service. Every time I have gone in, I am greeted with a pleasant smile and a conversation. They have different cupcakes laid out every time. I can say that almost each one is my favorite. :) What I love most about this place is there constant promotions. They offer "happy hours" a few days a week where they sell their cupcakes for only $1 and you are allowed as many as you'd like. The other thing I admire most about this place are their summer promotions. They do fun-themed promotions for free cupcakes: "mustache day", "prince/princess day", "flip-flop day" etc.... Usually they'll list the dates on their FB page. I have ordered both custom birthday cakes as well as cupcakes for large parties I have hosted. I have been very pleased each time and that's what keeps me coming back. The decor inside is bright and fun. They have a few tables inside for seating and another sitting area in the back for bridal clients. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for cakes and cupcakes that are delicious and amazingly decorated. read more

Ordered a birthday cake for my husband. Told them to make it look great. They asked about his favorite things and I said anime and that Fairytail was his fave. They said we will make it look great. Walked in today not knowing what to expect. They blew us away with this amazing birthday cake. Husband squealed like a happy school kid about this great creation as soon as we go in the car. Can't thank them enough for the great service and amazing creativity. Not only that we regular by their cupcake creations from them and just rave over them. They even remembered that we asked about wedding cakes when we were in today and said they were exited to sit down and design with us. Yep never one complaint or concern from me about this place and you know that's hard to do. read more

The cake was beautifully decorated and the actual cake (red velvet) was moist with a delicate crumb. Unfortunately everything went sideways with the frosting and filling - the caramel was much too heavy for the cake - and the butter cream frosting tasted oily - and without a discernable flavor - it was non-decrepitly sweet and tasted more like a shortening based frosting rather than a buttercream. The finished product all together was such a letdown and general disappointment. read more

I order a cake from Sugarlips every year for my daughter's birthday. Today was her 6th birthday and this year's cake absolutely blew me away. I gave the team at Sugarlips a photo of a sticker to use as inspiration. I also told them my daughter's favorite color. What they came up with was absolutely beautiful. Everyone at the party was so amazed and they were taking pictures of and talking about this gorgeous cake. As always, the cake was even more delicious than it was beautiful. Thank you Sugarlips! They are amazing! The best cakes we have ever gotten ! They are talented and creative and absolutely DELICIOUS!!

Well... I hope the cupcakes are better than the over the phone help is. The gal who answered sounded very green and mixed up. She gave so many different answers to "check-in" discount, price dependent on whether you paid over the phone, and when she could get them ready. Just wanted three already made cupcakes. I felt badly for her so patiently said, "Why don't you just tell me how you want me to work it so you can get the cupcakes ready for my husband who is on his way." Finally got it done! Just hope they are good!! (BTW, no discount if you ask them to have 3 cupcakes ready and will not get the 3 ready unless you pay over the phone ‍ If it were a dozen I'd get it.) Just not good customer service. You'd think they'd want to work with people so they'd feel good about coming back. (Psst, you're not the only source of cupcakes‼) read more

I found this bakery on local flavor. That's usually where I catch wind of establishments that I normally wouldn't seek out on my own accord. I got a dozen cupcakes and I was honesty impressed with the size. They are pretty hefty and have a good ratio of cake to frosting. The cake and frosting are both delicious. The cake is moist and dense so it doesn't crumble into a million pieces when you take it out of the wrapper and eat it. I will definitely go back! read more

My experience with Sugarlips for my wedding cake was nothing short of delightful. I did not feel rushed or pressured at my cake tasting appointment and felt like the decorator really heard me out. I ultimately ended up choosing several flavors for my wedding cake: almond cake with raspberry filling, lemon cake with lemon mousse filling, chocolate cake with espresso mousse filling, and white chocolate cake with raspberry filling for the top tier. The cake arrived in a timely manner and my guests loved the taste. No need to think twice about doing business with them :) read more

How have I not written a review for Sugarlips yet??? This is my go-to when I have a personal cakery itch that needs to be scratched. I have also turned to Sugarlips on several occasions when I REALLY wanted to impress friends or family at a potluck or gathering. Not only are these cupcakes a feast for the eyes, but they are flavorful and moist without being overly sweet. OH! Speaking of sweet, the ladies behind the counter are just as nice and patient as can be, even as they wait for me as I'm agonizing over my choices. read more

We missed happy hour by 2 minutes coming from Phoenix. Bummer! Decided to try two cupcakes anyway. They were just okay. Can't even remember what we tried... maybe a peanut butter and jelly spin off? And a caramel one? They were dry and the frosting which is usually my favorite part was easy to forget. Service was just very businesslike and efficient. read more
