Best. Sugar. EVER! I've been sugared by many ladies around the country at this point, and Katia blew them all away. She's incredibly vibrant and bubbly and makes you feel so welcome from the moment she gets you from the waiting room. Her sugaring room is super clean and has a lovely vibe to it. She is so good at talking to you while she sugars which is the best way to distract from the pain, and she's full of good stories! And most importantly, her sugaring skills are unbelievably precise and effective. She helped pop multiple blackhead ingrown hairs that were a result of a not so good sugaring I had a few months ago, and left me SO perfectly smooth (I got a Brazilian from her). Believe the hype - Katia is amazing! I needed a bikini wax ASAP and Yelp came through with Katia. For starters, she was very accommodating, squeezing me in on short notice. She texted me detailed directions to her studio which were super helpful (she has since moved to Lincoln Blvd. across from Whole Foods which is much easier to spot). Once I got to her studio, I was glad to see that her space is very clean and she is very hygienic with the sugaring process. She explained sugaring and the products she uses. I felt at ease as she chatted with me throughout the session. She really is sweet and made me feel like we are old friends. I have pretty sensitive skin and this process did not make me feel irritated at all in the following days, especially after following her upkeep instructions daily. The first session was painful as I'm a newbie (but not as painful as I thought it would be!) but the second session about 6 weeks later was not nearly as painful or as pricey so that's a definite plus! I don't think I've ever had an experience like this for any sort of hair maintenance. Katia is seriously the nicest person I have ever had work done with. I tried to schedule a last minute appointment, that unfortunately she couldn't book, but she was very accommodating. She called her local friends to see if she could get me an appointment with someone else. It ended up not working out, but to me it's the thought that counts! When I finally did go in to see her, she remembered me and all our conversations. It was my first time trying sugaring and it was such a wonderful experience with her.
