Here is some back story on how I ended getting a facial from Cynthia. I went for my first facial in about 3 years. And, I was traumatized the last time I had a facial, the woman who I didn't know had done some extractions and it was horrific. I had talked to someone that had the most amazing things to say about Cynthia, so I took the plunge. My first visit with Cynthia was amazing! I ended up getting an aqua gel facial (at least that's what I think it was called). Regardless it was magical! Cynthia cleaned my face to try and get as much dirt out before doing any of the extractions. She was so gentle when she was doing the extractions, she new I was super nervous. She kept me informed about what she was doing, it was ana amazing experience. We also talked about what I did for work, and I explained that there is a lot of physical labor. Tikitibu provides a private and tranquil spa environment. Cynthia is very knowledgeable about the chemistry of skincare and well-versed with so many brands and ingredients. She took the time to do a full consultation to learn more about my skin type, problems areas, and sensitivities in order to customize which products she chose. I chose the 60 minute Happy Hour treatment, which includes a full facial and mini-massage. She was very detailed in helping me tackle congested, dehydrated skin and gave thorough attention to each pore for extractions! After my treatment, she gave me some regimen suggestions, product suggestions, and samples - she uses mostly Eminence Organics, a professional only line from Hungary. I am so glad I found Cynthia! Her knowledge of the chemistry and biology of how the skin functions and acts is definitely impressive. I'm so glad I found her via yelp and she took the time to do my consultation, rather than other estheticians I have gone to who did not go into detail compared to her. They were not as personable and didn't take the time to analyze my skin before the facial. Cynthia, on the other hand, was methodical in the products she chose for my skin, after a close examination, and took the time to understand my current routine and understand why my skin was having issues. The entire process was great, it was one of the most relaxing facials I have gotten. She also takes the time to do a hand treatment and foot treatment, which was fabulous and the way she massaged your shoulders was heavily. I love how through she is and was able to get all of my whitehead/blackheads out in a non painful way.. she is updated on the latest trends and techniques and always researching which makes her one of the best well versed person in the realm of skincare. Hands down, the best body-hair removal service that I have ever experienced. EVERRRRR. I went to Cynthia about a month ago for my first sugaring treatment. Full Brazilian, baby! Wahoo! I felt like I was entering my very own, personal salon as she books clients one at a time. It was so wonderful to have her undivided attention, especially with such a sensitive area of the body. She walked me through her sugaring process, step-by-step, and continued to let me know what she was doing throughout the session. Got the Staycation treatment which was 1 hour Happy Hour facial and 1 hour massage. Cynthia was warm & personable. I felt comfy right away. I suggest getting there a little early on your first appointment to have time for paperwork. The massage was different that what I'm used to & she said it would be. It was very nice and relaxing, not firm. Her technique releases tension in a gentle way. Who knew?! I'm used to deep tissue so this was a cool change of pace. But if you are into deep tissue or sports massage this is not for you. The facial was magnificent! I felt totally pampered. My face never felt so good. I will return for sure for this treatment. Cynthia has changed my eyebrow grooming life! I've been coming to here once a month for about 5 months and she has done a wonderful job each and every time. I came to her after a horrible experience I had elsewhere. I had been getting my eyebrows waxed for about 10 years and then the last time the women had gotten it on my eyelid and tore my skin so bad I had a scab. I found Cynthia through a co worker of mine that swore by sugaring. When I met Cynthia she was so friendly and very informative. I asked why sugaring over waxing and she explained to me many different reason but the one that really stood out to me was that sugaring doesn't tear your skin. Just had my first sugaring experience with Cynthia and she was great! Made me feel very comfortable. What I liked about her was that she was very thorough and explained every step. She even showed me a diagram of a hair follicle to explain why I tend to bleed. I think she also noticed I was in workout gear and told me it was okay to go to the gym after a couple of hours--she even gave me a sample of the antiseptic cream to apply afterwards! My oh my! Today was my first ever facial, and what a better way to start 2015 than a facial @ Tikitibu. A couple days before the treatment, Cynthia spent time on the phone going over what to expect and she made sure I was not allergic to any of the ingredients in her facials. I've never had a facial before until today. I wanna start by saying Cynthia is so amazing I legit fell in love with her!!! As soon as you walk in her office you can tell she loves what she does. She asked me what products I use and googled every product to see what ingredients it contains. She literally goes out of her way for her clients. My skin was pretty much going through a crisis. She is wonderful at explaining everything in detail, and is so professional. As I came in for my appointment, State Board was leaving from doing a surprise inspection.
