I was nervous to try full-face sugaring (especially my brows) because I wanted to keep the shape I already have. I shared that with Bethany and Ty, and they were so careful, gentle, and reassuring. Bethany's expertise and precision really put me at ease. I'm honestly amazed by the result, my brows look cleaner and my whole face looks noticeably smoother and brighter. Such a kind, welcoming experience. Thank you, Bethany and Ty! read more

Rude receptionist. Went in after I booked appointment and rescheduled appointment to later time with another person and when I showed up they didn't have the information for me. I understand things happen but receptionist didn't apologize for inconvenience or misunderstanding. Probably needs training in customer service. read more

I had been a loyal client for 15 years! Ever since they were located across the street with just the owner. I have stayed despite the price increase ($87 without tip is OUTRAGEOUS!) because of my sugarist Maia. I am a larger woman and her many many years of experience along with her speed made her the best. I found out she was let go (she opened her own studio now) and it has just reminded me how I could not believe i paid sugaring LA's price for so many years. They have started offering a membership which is just slightly less expensive but since i only go every 6-8 weeks it was not worth paying. read more

Place is fantastic. Excellent service providers. It always is clean and the prices are reasonable. There's street parking and parking at the rear. I came here after having a different service provider at every appointment across the street. Idk if they had high turnover but HERE I'd book with the same service provider time after time and I'd see them! I especially liked that continuity. I knew I'd get consistent results seeing the same people here week after week and I did. Will miss this place! read more

I got a full waxing for my legs and could not have been happier!! SugaringLA is a beachy, clean spa that offers a wide variety of hair removal services but they are most popular for their Brazilian waxing and bikini waxing. Can you believe they only use lemon, sugar, and water? Logan conducted my leg waxing--she is a GEM who does her job superbly. The removal process was very minimal in pain and (even with Logan being attentive to the details and assessing everything to make sure she removes everything) was super efficient! I took home a bottle of rose oil that I adore--it smells glorious. 10/10 experience and business! LOVE LOVE LOVE read more

It was my first sugaring. What makes sugaring greater than waxing? It doesn't irritate, leaves no redness, and it's pretty pain-free. I think I'll stick to threading for eyebrows since shaping and arching require a bit more precision than I think sugaring allows. But for other areas that don't require that, I'll choose sugaring. Those are my thoughts on sugaring in general; what are my thoughts on sugaringLA? I'm glad that my first experience was with sugaringLA! It was super pleasant, friendly vibes, clean, cute, and relaxing. I would definitely return when I'm on one of my favorite streets in the neighborhood. And they're on ClassPass! Woo! read more

I originally came here as I got an ad for 2 for $79, both great experiences. I ended up buying a membership and think It is worth the money if you are consistent. I have had a good experience with all appointments. I do like that they have pretty good availability so I can call last min for appointments. I also got the exfoliate and rose oil product and really like both. read more

I've been going here for a few months already and I am a big fan of the service here. Everyone is always so kind, quick, and helpful. The place is clean and smells wonderful every time I walk in. I've had a few different people that I've met with to get sugared but honestly, all of them are great and do an amazing job. This beats a regular wax for sure and I'm in and out in 20 minutes or less usually. read more

Everyone is super nice and professional. Cozy but clean fresh vibes. I'm remembered by front end staff, even when I'm seeing a different sugarist than normal and that feels really nice. :) Every sugarist I've seen is really good at getting me to keep yapping. I know it's part of their job and they're maybe not INVESTED, but it's never awkward and I can tell that at least in the moment they're happy to listen and have me keep going on and on. I enjoy seeing the same person over and over again to give updates on my life (I like to think of myself as some love RTV), but everyone I've seen does a great job and is super warm. I've been to a variety of wax studios/aestheticians and have been getting waxing services since 2018. I keep going back here for a reason. My favorite places in the past (a different city before relocating) happened to be small, privately owned. A perk of SugaringLA is that because they have so many aestheticians it's fairly easy to get an appointment last minute. (Excepting major holidays). I've even just walked in for underarm touch ups. It's not uncomfortable/overly painful here, I'm not worried about the products (including the actual sugaring mixture) they use here causing a reaction on my skin (as opposed to a certain purple wax at a certain chain). Rooms are always clean, and are clinical enough to feel clean and less awkward, but cozy enough that it's not scary. (Also unlike a certain chain...) Pricing is really reasonable. read more

The only place I will go in LA! my favorite;) it's really clean and all the people who work there are super nice and I just really love it. It's like a little community and it's in a great area. read more

This place is soooo awesome! Logan is so great at what she does. She has chill vibes and makes the process fun and quick. Not only is she quick but very efficient because any the pesky hairs are gone! I have the package where you get a Brazilian service monthly and 20% discount off other services. It makes sense to have it when you regularly get a service. I would highly recommend the membership and Logan! read more

I had some extra classpass credits to use, so I decided to get my brows and lip cleaned up. My first time sugaring! The ambiance is super nice - minimalistic, clean, and natural. The whole procedure only took about 15 minutes. I would've appreciated if the sugar was cleaned off my face better afterwards - there were small bits in my eyelashes blocking my vision, but that was just a small inconvenience. I was initially impressed with the quick service, but I realized the next day there was still hair remaining on my upper lip. The redness also didn't go away and I developed bumps on my face. These areas felt like a burn - my guess is from the lemon acidity in the ingredients, which wasn't completely removed. My recommendation is to wash your face with water in their bathroom afterwards to ensure all the sugar is off, to avoid a reaction like mine. read more

Place is fantastic, service was great and the vibe is awesome. Staff is very professional. Definitely going back again

Had a great appointment--quick, clean, and way less painful than I expected. Super happy with the results, Marissa is the best!

This place is awesome! It's the most impressive clean professional atmosphere I've seen in the health Beauty and Fitness service. Jessica was not only professional but cordial caring and informative telling me all about the procedure and even the history of sugaring and the Component Solutions utilized. The management of this business is Awesome with great business background expertise and customer service acumen. I joined their membership because I'll be going back a lot and referring to people as well. Great to see a business like this in the area . read more

I have a great experience with Letty. We had great conversation the entire time would've thought we were friends for years. It wasn't super cold or hot inside it was perfect . Go see Maia Yamamoto! She is professional, friendly, pleasant and very good at her job! She also works on Saturdays which is great for me. She did my Brazilian Bikini and I couldn't be more satisfied with her work. She is QUICK! I was out the door in 10-15 minutes. My skin felt soft and smooth. She knows what she is doing! I'm sure that the rest of their team is wonderful as well. While it's not cheap (I paid $71 for a Brazilian Bikini hair removal) I think it's worth it. It's much better then waxing and the final result is amazing. read more

I will not go back to hard wax. Sugaring is so much better for your skin and takes less time! I went to the new location in Scottsdale and became a member on the spot! I used to go to a different sugaring studio but Sugaring LA was much more professional and comfortable for me! I am glad I went and found a new aesty! read more

Writing this review to warn others about SugaringLA's questionable practices. To summarize, they double charge and cheat customers. During my first appointment, I took advantage of a first-time client promotion to prepay for two Brazilian waxing sessions. However, upon returning for my second session, Aliza Turnbull refused to honor the prepayment. Aliza acknowledged seeing my past receipt with payment for two sessions but argued that my original online booking was for a single session (I saw the promo when walking into the store for the first time so obviously when I booked online it was just for a single session). She insisted that I should have changed my booking after paying for the promotion...why should I, a customer, manage their internal backend appointment system...lol This resulted in me PAYING DOUBLE for a single service BECAUSE OF A MISTAKE THEY MADE. Be cautious of their poor customer service and failure to honor advertised promotions, despite having clear records of payment -- to make matters worse Aliza was so rude about it -- awful experience all around. read more

I've been coming here for a few years and it's always been great. I'm writing this review though because my usual person wasn't available this week and I went to Logan and need to share how amazing she is. SO fast and SO gentle/pain-free! I visited sugaringLA for a bikini sugar wax. I've never had a wax before, and I decided to go with a sugar wax because I wanted something organic and non-toxic, so this was great! The salon was very bright and clean and comfortable and I had a pretty good experience. read more

This was my first time at Sugaring LA. Why did it take me this long to even hear about it? The tireless search for removing unwanted hair is over. This is the place to go. I booked my appointment in their MINDBODY app which is great. The girls are warm and friendly, wonderful service all around. Ulyana did my Brazilian sugaring. She is so professional, this is possibly one of the least painful experiences I've ever had in my life. She keeps you talking to take your mind off it. Did I mention the entire space is spotlessly clean? What's not to love about this place? Run, don't walk to get ready for the Summertime. read more

I've been sugaring consistently for the past 8 years now. My experience with sugaringLA's Manhattan Beach location has definitely been top tier. I scheduled a last minute appointment just 1 hour before my scheduled time. I was thankful to have gotten an appointment so quickly as I was struggling to find availability with my previous sugaring expert. Ashley completed the job efficiently and effectively. There was absolutely no residue left behind, all hair was removed, and any ingrown were tweezed meticulously. It's been years since I've had a sugaring expert show this much care! Although my typical spot is just 7 minutes from my apartment, the experience with sugaringLA has made me want to continue driving the extra distance to Manhattan Beach. I'm excited for my next appointment! read more

I'm a waxing/sugaring regular, but I've been struggling to find my perfect salon after moving to a new part of LA. Prices on the west side are higher than Hollywood, but my experience at sugaringLA was fantastic. They also have a 2 for $69 Brazilian special, which is what I purchased. They have a multitude of appointments in morning and evening, making it super convenient to book online. The salon is clean and bright. The front desk staff were friendly, and my appointment was prompt and on time without feeling rushed. Now for the sugaring - this was as close to a pain free experience as I'll probably ever get. I stagger visits every 5 weeks with no shaving, just trimming/tweezing. Somehow, even after waxing, there'll be some missed hairs that the esthetician has to aggressively tweeze, or I'll find them at home. Not here! Smoothest experience I've ever had. The sugaring also wasn't too hot - I've gotten mild irritations/burns at nice facilities before, but here was incredibly comfortable with virtually no skin irritation at all. In summary, this place is amazing! read more
