Jasuko (pronounced JasKo), is the best Estetician ever! I originally found her on Groupon 2yrs ago, and have been going to her every since to get my lady parts sugared and mini moustache sugared or threaded. Here is my review: She is so inexpensive! Best deal in West LA, Santa Monica, and Westwood. Convenient street parking in the front on Santa Monica Blvd., the side streets, or a few FREE spots in back. She uses an organic Sugar/lemon substance, it looks like molasses, it is NOT wax. So this means little to no ingrown hairs when it grows back and no embarassing rash or irritation. In two years, I have never had a skin rash and had less than a handful of ingrown hairs! She takes her time to get every single stray hair. She will use a magnifying glass and tweezers if she misses a hair. She has a huge comfortable massage table to work on you. The place is cute, really clean, she wears gloves and makes you feel comfortable. Appointment only and cash only! CALL FIRST to make appointment. If she does not answer, leave a detailed message, (time you want to come in, and what you want done). She will call you back.. Her English isn't the best on the phone, so texting her asking for availability is even better. She usually responds the same day. *** If you come as a walk in and she does not have an opening, DON'T GET UPSET and give her a bad review. Her YELP and store front both say APPOINTMENT ONLY! The SAME if you bring credit card and no cash. HER YELP AND STORE FRONT BOTH SAY Cash only.*** IF you didn't bring cash, there is an ATM about 1 block west at the donut shop. Jasuko has ALWAYS been available, especially when I make my appointment a few days to a week out. Spring & Summertime are her busiest, so call or text her at least a week in advance. If you get services at GLAMDOLL, it is unfair to give a bad review because it hurts. Ripping hair off your ass and crotch doesn't sound like it should feel good or be a pleasant experience, does it? I am half black/Latina and I feel with the courseness of my hair, about 1/4 inch in length works best for the sugar to stick, and removal is less painful. BUT the more you go, the easier and less painful it will be and the slower your hair will grow back. It grows back finer too. I was going once a month at first. Now I go every 8-10 weeks because it doesn't grow back as fast. I also recommend using coconut oil as a daily moisturizer following lady part services. Yesterday (Saturday) was my appointment. I arrived and Jasuko was not her normal smiling self. She said she wasn't feeling well and asked me to reschedule to today, (Sunday). I could visually see she was tired and needed rest. I agreed to reschedule. I came in today (Sunday) and she told me it was going to be free/no charge because she cancelled me when I got here yesterday. The first thing I thought was she had a valid reason to cancel, she was sick/tired (& probably over worked)! There is no way I was leaving without paying for her services! So I accepted her free offer, BUT decided to leave a tip instead. After my session of almost a full brazilian and upper lip threading, I tried to leave the service fee as a tip. She refuse my money and said "NO! I cancelled you, so its free!" We went back and forth for a few minutes and she finally shoved my money back in my purse and said: "NO, I said free today because I cancelled your appointment when you got here yesterday". I tried to give her the money again and she wouldn't hear of it. She wouldn't even accept a small tip! I graciously thanked her and thought the best way to pay her for services today is to give her an awesome YELP review for her outstanding customer service! I decided to write her a review now. She is and the only person who I go to for my "boyzillion" manzilion whatever you want to call it. I have done waxing once before and fell in love with sugaring process. I am comfortable with her. We always talk made me laugh. As from what I remember it's painful for the first time but after awhile it's not so bad you just get use to it. I highly recommend her for any guys who want to try it for the first time. I've only done a Brazilian wax once (it hurt so much) and this is my first time doing a Brazilian sugar. I took an Advil an hour before to relieve the anticipated pain and needless to say, I don't know if it was the Advil or not, but I can tell you that my sugaring experience was 50x less painful than waxing. Yasuko was very friendly and just a nice lady in general. She loves what she does. I found her on Groupon, but after the experience with her and her telling me how sad she was after someone came in and took her wallet with all her profits after she left for a few minutes to feed a stray cat she decided to take care of, I gave her a very generous tip. This review is for Yasuko's sugaring treatment. I've only seen Yasuko once myself but the experience was so perfect that I've since recommended her to several friends, one of whom has now seen her multiple times and always raves afterward about how great it always goes. Speaking from my own experience, Yasuko was super professional and just plain nice. It was my first time getting sugared and she explained all about the method, the ingredients used, how it differs from waxing, etc. She was very thorough in making sure all the hair was removed and even busted out a pair of tweezers for a couple stubborn ones. The pricing was also very reasonable. I haven't needed her services for a few months but I'll definitely be going back to her when I do. She is appointment only and cash only! Finally, if you're very allergic to cats, you may want to let her know when you book your appointment. When I went, there was a fluffy white cat hanging around and a friend mentioned the same thing after his first visit. We're both allergic to cats but neither of us had issues, probably because Yasuko keeps her space so meticulously clean. If I hadn't seen it when I walked in, I would never have known it was there at all. read more

Yasuko is an absolute doll! She made my first Brazilian sugar wax experience a "bearable" one and even gave me a hug after the procedure. Less pain than hot wax. Glam Doll is cute and quaint. Yasuko is friendly, adorable and does a quick and detailed job of everything! She does keep a rescue cat around but I had no issues despite having allergies. This was my first time sugaring; the last time I waxed was 4 months ago so I had a lot of hair growth. In my experience it did hurt more than waxing, but doesn't take as long (and it should be less painful the more times you go, if you want to do hair upkeep). I did lower leg, brazillian, upper lip and underarms; if your hair is too long, Yasuko will trim it for you. Very affordable, especially since sugaring tends to cost more than waxing. I love Yasuko! She's so sweet, accommodating, quick and SO funny! First off, I vow by sugaring over any other form of hair removal. Why would you want anything else if this is as natural as it gets?! Yes, the price is definitely a hike from a Brazilian wax, but it's definitely worth the try and I'm preeeetty sure you'll be back after that! It keeps the hair off just as long as a wax, but without the bumps, redness and swelling as the wax. I originally found Yasuko on here when she was still brand new aka 4 reviews. Her hours were unbeatable! I used to work the usual 8-5 and it was just a challenge to find someone as accommodating and available as her. Her boutique is undeniably cute and most importantly CLEAN. Those factors keep bringing me back and I am a regular. I see her probably every 6 weeks and she's responsive when I text her for an appt so there's no waiting involved for the most part. She has the best stories and I absolutely just love seeing her for the service because I laugh so much on top of leaving with my cooch as smooth as a babies bottom (just how I like it! lol) My only complaint is that sometimes the sugar is not warm/hot so when she pulls in certain areas, it could hurt. I can't say it's less painful than wax, but sugaring is done in smaller sections so there are more pulls. The only I reason I did not give this five stars is the fact that sugaring is extremely painful if you are not a regular at sugaring or waxing and have been shaving for a very long time.
