Maneki Neko also operates a sister concept store called CATCH Little Tokyo located on the third floor of Japanese Village Plaza. [Parking]: As long as there are no special events in Little Tokyo, the Aiso Parking Garage (101 Judge John Aiso St) is your best bet. [Selection]: The shop has transitioned from primarily selling traditional decor / ceramics / cosmetics (which the shop still carries but in a smaller section) to focusing mainly on plushies and blind boxes featuring IPs like Sanrio, Pokémon, and other Japanese anime. Even though an officially licensed Sanrio store is located next door, Maneki Neko still has an excellent selection of Sanrio items that you can't find at the next-door licensed Sanrio store. [Conclusion]: This is one of those shops where I can probably find a Sanrio plush that I am willing to buy as a gift. It is a perfect example of a thriving shop that has learned to adapt by keeping up with changing consumer tastes.

I don't think anything can ever beat the old Arcadia location when I got super cheap and nice cosmetics for around $1 (think Missha and Majolica Marjorca, but this only happened when things reopened after the lock down), but you can still find some good deals here. Similar to the Arcadia location, there's a mix of legitimate items here and a couple questionable, potentially bootleg items, so make sure you check and read the labels and compare prices online and the such. I like how this location plays into the culture and touristy-ness of the Little Tokyo with the daruma statue photo op in front and the pressed penny machine. I'm a sucker for pressed pennies, so this was nice. I've gotten super cheap sword props for cosplay, cute super cheap random character plushies and merchandise (think generic cats), and in an ocean of blind box slop shops in LT, I prefer Maneki Neko in comparison.

I recently had the opportunity to try out a spray tan from SUGARED + BRONZED, and I must say, I was absolutely thrilled with the results. I've always been a bit skeptical of spray tans, having seen too many people walking around with that telltale orange hue that screams "fake tan." But let me tell you, SUGARED + BRONZED has completely changed my perception. The first thing I noticed was just how even the tan looked. It was as if I'd spent a week lounging on some sun-soaked beach, rather than a mere few minutes in a salon. There were no streaks, no blotches, just a perfectly even, beautifully bronzed glow. I was genuinely amazed at how natural it looked. Even up close, it was virtually indistinguishable from a real tan. What truly sets SUGARED + BRONZED apart, in my opinion, is their attention to detail and commitment to a bespoke service. The technician took the time to discuss my skin tone and the look I wanted to achieve, ensuring that the color was perfectly tailored to me. It wasn't just a one-size-fits-all approach, and that personalized touch really made a difference. Now, a little tip for anyone considering a spray tan from SUGARED + BRONZED - make sure to exfoliate the day before your appointment. I was advised to do this and it made a world of difference. Exfoliating helps to remove any dead skin cells, ensuring that the tan is applied to fresh, healthy skin. This not only helps the tan to last longer but also contributes to the evenness of the color. The tan lasted for a good week and faded gradually, just like a real tan would. I received so many compliments and people were genuinely surprised when I told them it was a spray tan. I felt confident, radiant, and loved every minute of my bronzed glow. In conclusion, if you're considering a spray tan, I can wholeheartedly recommend SUGARED + BRONZED. Their attention to detail, personalized service, and the incredibly natural-looking results are truly second to none. Just remember to exfoliate the day before for the best possible results. Trust me, you won't regret it! read more

I think this is a new location, I liked that I was able to book everything through the app and change the time to a more convenient slot same day, (just try to be reasonable and reschedule within a timely manner.) The whole place is spotless, such a cute shop I love it in there! The woman at the front desk was very helpful, super nice, and knew her info! Thanks to her clear knowledge about memberships and explaining oh-so well, I am now a member with S + B. Molly was my esthetician for today and was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the entire process. She made sure I was doing alright the entire time and made me feel welcomed and comfortable. The process itself was not as painful as other waxing methods which I loved and there was no residue leftover from the process. Very quick and easy from when I walked in until I walked out. Make sure you get there at least 10 minutes early to find parking, I came on a Saturday it was a little crowded but I was able to find a spot not too far away. read more

I recently visited SUGARED + BRONZED and it was an absolute treat. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. They made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. I got a Brazilian and a spray tan (in the same day). I was impressed with the level of skill and finesse their team demonstrated. The result was impeccably smooth skin that lasted longer than I've seen with traditional waxing. The tan looked completely natural and evenly applied. I loved that they were able to customize the color to suit my skin tone perfectly. There was no hint of that unpleasant "fake tan" smell that's common. SUGARED + BRONZED delivers top-notch beauty services in a professional and welcoming environment. It's worth every penny and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for superior sugaring and bronzing treatments. read more

This is hands down the best spray tan I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff who made me feel comfortable and at ease. They took the time to understand my desired tan shade and explained the entire process in detail, putting any worries I had to rest. The technician was incredibly skilled, ensuring an even and natural-looking tan without any streaks or uneven patches. My tan lasted much longer than other spray tans I've tried before, and it faded evenly, maintaining its natural appearance throughout. If you're looking for a flawless and long-lasting sun-kissed glow, I wholeheartedly recommend SUGARED + BRONZED. Their exceptional service, skilled technicians, and high-quality products set them miles apart from the rest. I can't wait to return for another stunning tan! read more

I had my very first spray tan with Gabriela Biagetti at Sugared + Bronzed, and I could not have asked for a better experience! I was getting ready for a wedding this weekend and had a million questions since I had never had a spray tan before. Gabriela was incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable, taking the time to walk me through everything and make me feel completely comfortable. My tan came out absolutely beautiful, natural, even, and exactly what I was hoping for. She paid so much attention to detail, and the results exceeded my expectations.
