My confidence is stealing the hearts of many husbands and its pissing off the neighbors. I am simply a smoke show amongst peasants who have chosen sadness, having not visited Laser Away. People can't even BELIEVE I get filler or botox - so what am I paying for? To look beautiful AND natural? Don't even get me started on my exquisite lip flip that has since been snappin' necks and cashin' checks. I hope you see how this is a major issue, and figure out how you are going to rectify the situation- preferably in a couple weeks when I come in to get other things done. I can scarcely believe a nurse would be so pushy, except that after reading other reviews I believe it now since aggressive sales pressure without follow-through on their word is the reputation that LaserAway has built. I was worried about the new upper lip package I got through a partial exchange of credit from an unused package since I have been on maintenance with little hair growth, but the corporate manager Brian himself assured me that I had his OK to change back to the old unused package services if I did not use this new package. I went in to Marina Del Rey for a treatment of upper lip and another body area. The office explicitly told me it is ok if the appointment is booked for both areas, but I only decide to get one treated that day after talking with the nurse. So I told the nurse my concern about the hair being too light and fine in the upper lip area to respond to the laser, and that I did not want to do the upper lip, and only wanted to do the one other body part. Staff from the old Olympic location had told me repeatedly throughout the years that the laser does not work on too-fine or too-light hair. The nurse here, however, would not take no for my answer and insisted that I get the upper lip done claiming that she knew better how to adjust the settings than other nurses and that I had old info. Sure enough, it was a waste of a service done --- every little fine hair left on my upper lip area grew back, and it is no different from before I came in for that appointment. On top of that, as the upper lip package was used, I was told Brian's promise meant nothing and there was no record of my old package on file anyhow. First experience was great, but 2nd experience with cool sculpting I had 1 thermal failure after the nurse applied the applicator twice. I told her to mark the chart so that when I come back they'll know what side to do. They had no upcoming appointments soon, so I booked an appointment at their Santa Monica location. I went to the Santa Monica location (original apt was on Monday and rescheduled for last Saturday at SM) and low and behold the chart isn't marked what side so they couldn't do the replacement procedure. The manager at SM said they'd get ahold of MDR and try to reschedule me asap. I was supposed to hear from someone yesterday (Monday 6/9) and haven't heard from anyone. I followed back up today and apparently the nurse who did my procedure hasn't responded/been off. Very frustrating because I told the nurse 3 times to make sure the chart was marked and here I am with this location and incompetent nurse wasting my time. Get it together. I will admit my first appointment I felt very uncomfortable and I felt like the nurse was judging me. I almost canceled my treatment plan, that's how bad it was. Then I started booking with Gwen, I believe that's her name, and my appointments were way better. She was patient and just as sweet as can be. Now I have Dora, and she is by far the best nurse there to me! She listened to my concerns about patches of hair, and she took care of it. I agreed to the treatment based on that promise. After paying consistently, I was later charged additional fees that were never disclosed upfront. When I questioned this, the explanation was unclear and felt like the terms were suddenly changed after the fact. This feels misleading and unethical. I have been to a couple other laser aways for laser hair removal, and clear and brilliant facials previously, but I decided to try the Potenza microneedling treatment and oh man does it hurt. You do get numbing about 30 minutes but you can probably have more time with the numbing cream and even with that it is not the most comfortable of treatments. I don't recommend cutting down on your numbing time or going around your period because you will feel it sooo much more. I gave 5 stars because the front staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about their treatments and products, and nurse Denise who did my treatment was kind, explained everything in detail, and reminded me to breathe helping me feel more at ease. She made the experience more tolerable. I'm now 2-weeks post and my skin looks brighter and more even. I'm really satisfied with the results. read more

Laser Away's tattoo removal is a total SCAM - DO NOT get it done by them. I was scammed into getting a package during one of their many sales plus a birthday discount. I wanted to get half of my upper arm tattoos lightened enough to where I could get them covered up with something else. I was initially told that it would take 8-10 sessions 6-8 weeks apart and I'd see good results since my tattoos are over 15 years old, because older tattoos are easier to remove. Well I've gone through quite a few sessions with them and have seen absolutely no results at all. Every time I have checked in with someone to have my questions answered, or to express concern - they attempted to gaslight me and they always changed their story. I was initially told the sessions needed to be 6-8 weeks apart. Then it went to 8-10 weeks apart. Then 10-12 weeks apart, then I was told that "optimal results can be achieved by waiting 12-16 weeks in between sessions, and that's why you're not seeing results". I would have NEVER paid so much money for their package if that were the case. The switched from "older tattoos are easier to remove" to "because your tattoos are so old, they're more difficult to move and that's one reason why you're not seeing results". During my last session, the technician (who clearly didn't have much of an idea about what she was doing) had the dial turned up so high that she caused lasting nerve damage to my arm. I reported this immediately, and multiple times via calls and emails and I was blown off, gaslit, and told that it was my fault because I wasn't waiting long enough in between sessions, and that I didn't ice it properly which is BS - the bruising happened immediately. I complained before I left the session that I was in severe pain - and no one cared. I've tried to cancel my package and agreement with them and although I don't think I should have to pay for the sessions I've had since they didn't work at all - I offered to pay the discounted rate I got from my package for the sessions I sat through just to get this over and done with so I could go somewhere else. Nope, they refuse to honor the discounted price for the sessions and they're charging me full price for all the sessions since I cancelled the agreement. I'm so hurt, so angry and so ashamed I got scammed so badly by these people. Also, don't let them sign you up for an Alphaeon monthly payment account. They are PREDATORY. They set up the monthly payment that will allow you to pay off the entire balance in the time agreed to so you don't rack up any interest. What Alphaeon does is drop your payment every single month, significantly so you're ensured to not meet the deadline. My fault for not checking my auto payments - but just be aware. If you decide the use them - don't set it to automatic payments. TLDR; LaserAway tattoo removal is a giant scam and their employees are liars. Go somewhere else. read more

They lied to me. I was told my laser tattoo removal was going to be $1200 for three sessions. I set up my account with their bank (Patientfi). I just found out that they charged me over $1500. If I would've been told the truth, I would never have financed it and I never would've agreed to pay $500 per session. ALSO... on my second session, the lady performing the laser removal was completely missing spots on my tattoo. When I pointed it out to her, she got offended and argued with me as if I didn't just watch it with my own eyes. She refused to finish her job correctly and left me in the room. The manager came in and directed another technician to continue. She was very methodical and made sure to hit every square inch of the remaining area but she isn't allowed to go over the first part with all of the missed spots twice. First off Rachelle, and the girl at the front with the short/ long hairstyle were nice and genuinely seemed to care. Which is why I'm generously giving 2 stars. It is 12:55pm 12/22. I am writing this review from the parking lot. My appointment was at 11:45. An hour and 10 minutes later I've left having received no service. I initially scheduled my appointment in person on 12/9, I was in the area getting a birthday cake. Within 15 minutes of me leaving I get a call confirming my appointment for that day 12/9. I explained that the person must've made a mistake because I'd just left there to BOOK the appointment about 15 minutes prior and that my appointment was scheduled for today 12/22 @ 11:45. They seemed not to believe me (as if I had just pulled a no show, but said ok). Back to today. I arrived here early at 11:28 and waited for about 40 minutes before I was taken to the service room. I was doing work on my phone so I wasn't too bothered. The front desk girl with the short/long hair apologized for the wait and kindly assured me my nurse would be with me soon and that she was running late. No worries. Shortly after, the guy at the reception calls my name out and says "Christina you're doing your chin right?" I look at him like seriously? There was another lady in the waiting area. Had he confirmed the service when I got there he wouldn't have had to inappropriately confirm that in the open. HIGHLY unprofessional. What happened to patient privacy??? Mind you, I was calm and never complained this entire time. The nurse finally retrieves me from the waiting area and I can tell she's very flustered, nervous even. Maybe because she was behind, but not because of me because I never complained. Then Rachelle comes in, very nice , calm and confident. I felt secure in knowing she would take care of me properly. LITERALLY as SOON as she goes to apply the applicator the girl from the front desk comes in and says I wasn't scheduled properly and there's not enough time to do the two applicators I was scheduled for but we could do one. In my mind that made no sense so I decided I would just "come back another day". Honestly idk if I will. From the beginning I have not had positive experiences with Laser Away. I chose to come to this location today hoping things would be better. At this point I will inquire of a refund because so far it's been a hassle and honestly not worth it (coolsculpting). When you want to open an account they're so pushy and will call you non stop to sell you a package. But to get someone on the phone to cancel your package. I called mid December, were nearing mid January. WAYYY OVER 48 hours. No call back, just a receptionist saying they'll pass along your message to account manager. This is a nightmare!!! My experience from start to finish, beginning with the sales rep and ending to scheduling my next appointment was seamless. When I first arrived to the MDR office I was warmly welcomed by the front desk, I wish I caught her name but she was such an angel and incredibly helpful! I let her know that this was going to be my 2nd underarm laser hair removal (diff company years ago) and FIRST ever brazilian of any kind and I incredibly terrified. She was very genuine and really did try to calm my nerves - especially about the brazilian. She also gave me some tips and told me it was going to be a breeze - it was very hard to believe her but boy did I try! I was taken into the exam room and my nurse was miss Dora and she phenomenal!!!! So patient and experienced and made sure throughout that I was doing ok. She started with my underarms, but before she did I asked for an icepack for my lady parts to freeze while I waited and she gave me one. The machine they use is one I have never experienced, it had a fan and was cooling and FAST. Dora gave me a heads up of the parts where it could feel a a little "spicy" than the normal light pinch feeling and that was helpful so I can anticipate. She then moved down south and this is where my fear really set it - she again gave me some areas where it could hurt and honestly...it was SO freakin easy. I definitely encountered some "oh shit that hurt" moments but honestly it was VERY tolerable. Dora made me feel so comfortable and it was obvious that this was not her first rodeo - I hope I get her again the next time I go! I left with my ego still intact - and again the front desk was ever so sweet and we scheduled upcoming appointments. But I also hate when a company says they will send back $700 refund check and then never sends it - and never calls back, or answers a dozen "please help!" emails. We called Laser Away monthly for over a year, trying to get help with an unused gift certificate, and finally a "manager", Abigail, assured us she would call back but never did. After 15 months "Mandi" emails and ask where to mail the $700 check, IT NEVER GOT SENT. Multiple attempts to reach this company and the local Laser Away MDR branch have been beyond frustrating. No one knows where our refund is! Be VERY careful giving them money, chances are you will also get scammed. The message you will read below from "Jamie, in customer service" will say we have been contacted - again this is FALSE- not one email (avoiding legal paper trail it seems) and not one phone number given to us to speak to a live person who would help us recover this large sum of money -which was promised and never sent. I waited after all of my sessions so I can give a comprehensive review from the beginning to the end of my whole experience. -about the constant discount: its all fake and just a way of marketing. The so called "60% discount" is on-going and happens all year long. They don't put pricing on the website so they can do this to people who just first see the ads (like myself). And not to mention, different locations have completely different pricing. My friend did it in Pasadena location for less than half of what I paid. -call to book: my experience with the sales person Maria on the phone was horrible. She was extremely rube, and felt like pushing me to pay in full (about $2500). Which I did, but didn't feel good about it. -laser experience: all nurses are really nice, and most of the time, they were able to get me in with about 15 mins wait. -front desk: hit or miss. Sometimes are very nice, sometimes front desk people act quite snobbish. -results: you sign an agreement of something that only 80% can be removed. I have light skin and dark hair (considered to be one of the easiest), after full 8 sessions, I have tiny hair growing. So basically, still hair growing, just thinner and slower. 2.5 stars in my opinion. I did laser hair removal starting in October 2021 for about 1-1.5 years at the Marina Del Rey location. There were a lot of pros, but more cons to my experience as a whole. My biggest issue is how they constantly try to upsell you or get you to purchase additional packages even when you decline over and over again and how they handle scheduling appointments. After each treatment, I would book my next appointment in person with the front desk staff, but leading up to my appointment somehow my time slot would get changed or they would lose my appointment altogether. They also double book clients so there were multiple times that I would have to wait in the front for 20-minutes or so for a nurse to be available, but if you are more than 5 minutes late you'll lose your appointment or they'll cut into your time and only complete half of your treatment. During my last appointment, my tech/nurse left my appointment mid-treatment so she could go work on another patient. She left me there for 20 minutes when my appointment was only supposed to take 15 minutes in total. It was a full hour before I got out of there and all I got was a "sorry about that" from the nurse. This was the 3rd time that had happened to me - the first two times were shorter amounts of time, but I was totally naked with just a towel covering me so the entering and exiting made me uncomfortable. In my last Brazilian laser hair removal session, the laser was too hot and it caused me to scar badly. My bikini line is covered in dime-size circled scars now which are incredibly embarrassing. Luckily I was able to find a cream to lighten the dark brown spots, but I'm not sure they will go away completely. My results from the laser were hit or miss - my underarms and legs look great, but my Brazillian scared badly and the hair is not even close to being gone - the hair is thinner and it grows back slower, but I'm not sure that one was worth it. The hair on my face is stubborn and random coarse hairs pop up daily, but I do like the results and I would be interested in purchasing an additional laser package for maintenance, but I will NOT be going back to Laser Away, or at least not to their Marina location (although I've heard all of their locations around Los Angeles are poorly run - sounds like it's a corporate training issue starting from the top down). I will say though that their nurses are amazing and (the majority of them) will make you feel really comfortable. I truly enjoyed our conversations and they will go out of their way to reduce how painful the treatments can be. It's such a shame their staff is unorganized and doesn't care about their clientele, because my experience could have been and should have been 5 stars. read more

It was my first time and she walked me through the entire process, calmed my anxieties, and was so nice. I'll be requesting her again for my next visit. The only reason I didn't give five star review was sometimes the front desk isn't always consistent. They're always very polite, but I've scheduled appointments with them and then it turns out the appointment was never booked. Hello! I am following up with my Laser and CS appointments. Eris (now at the Hermosa location) has been a treasure to work with. I have additionally worked with other nurses here and everyone is meticulous. I have dark skin and dark hair -- after three laser sessions my hair is NOT back. My skin is way smoother than ever from shaving/waxing (legs, underarms, brazillian). My entire brazilian is still bare (some small and thin hairs here or there, but I expect after another two sessions i won't see any). OK now for CSculpt. I am on the slimmer side already and this on my abdomen tummy and sides has definitely had a noticeable effect. There was some discomfort a few weeks after, but staying hydrated helps and it's manageable swelling. My experience is in places with very little fat, it's not as easy for the clamper to do it's thing. (it's possible i know, but places with a solid grab worked super well for me. I'll use my next sessions on slightly more fatty areas like muffin top than upper abs.) Wear something warm! Bring a sweater. Watch a show. It's very chill and super worth it. read more

I booked an appointment online for a virtual consultation on a Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. immediately after booking, I received a text message asking me to book a virtual consultation. I reply to that text saying I had already booked an appointment for September 26th. I then get a text back saying they went ahead and booked me for September 21st. I immediately replied back to let them know that I was working today and could not take the call. I reiterated the fact that I had already made an appointment for the following Tuesday. I then got another text message saying they're confirming my appointment for today the 21st. For the third time, I text them back and tell them that I am working today and already have an appointment for the 26th. A few hours later I get yet another text message saying that they're waiting on the line for me. I then call and a woman who claims to be the manager laughed at me for even being dissatisfied about this, and then told me that there was nothing she could do other than book me more virtual consultations that I specifically told her I no longer wanted. She told me that I didn't book the appointment right. Look at the text messages in my screenshots and you can decide if I'm in the wrong. When I asked her why they continued ignoring me after I told them I didn't want today's appointment, she cut me off and claimed that didn't happen.
