Not a fan of the entire process. First, I had a hard time finding the office; because it's Not at an actual business office, it runs out of a home, and that wasn't mentioned at all. Second, Tried to call for assistance to help find the office, and the phone goes to an off-site answering service that had no idea where the location was. I tried Waze and it had me 6 blocks off in a business section of the neighborhood. Finally found it, and funny enough I was still early because I personally strive for punctuality and hopefully being early. When I arrived at the one-woman show the greeting was much last then par; actually very cool and off-putting. After waiting 10 minutes past my appointment time I left. Sometimes you just need to cut your losses and move on. Lastly, Sara's personality is not a match for mine. Both phone interaction and in person. Best of luck to Sara and her business. read more

Ok peoples, I understand that scheduling is an important thing, but let me tell you my story. I went to Sara for 2 underarm treatments and saw amazing results, I was hooked, but then I moved to the O.C. Went to this local place that had killer hours and a very available front desk staff, BUT, my results were weak. After 4 treatments of lower leg (which was not cheap), I did not get close to the results from when I went to Sara. Actually, I looked her up on Yelp today so I can try to schedule an appt and get some quotes for lower leg, upper leg. My point is that it's not like she blatantly missed appts, and to be honest, with all the laser deals you see online, if you want to ensure results, this is the place to go. Sara is really one of the best people out there for skin care. She's very honest and her customer service is great. I initially saw Sara for a skin consult and also because I had questions about laser hair removal. She gave me a bunch of advice on skin care products that will help my help not look aged. I have some fine lines and hyper pigmentation and her advice helped SO much. I have had 2 Laser Genesis facials done so far. My face looks great. I highly recommend it. I have also gotten laser hair removal done with her. I have had 3 laser hair removal sessions for my underarms. They look great now! I have also had 2 laser hair removal sessions on my lower legs--they also look great. I will be coming back for more treatments for sure. Getting laser hair removal is uncomfortable, but Sara does a great job of putting clients at ease. She has a machine that blows icy cold air on the area that's getting treated, which helps with the pain. I wouldn't go anywhere else. She has a great studio that's really comfortable and nice too. If price is an issue, she does have specials and package deals. Both of the laser genesis facials I did were 50% off and I have been buying 3 sessions of laser hair removal (per area) for a 20% off discount. I am very happy with Broadway Skin Studio. Sara is great. I was referred here by a friend. I was initially very nervous about laser hair removal in general. I went in for an initial consultation by Sara. She was very honest and upfront in what to expect. She did not push me to buy a package or seem to just want to sell the service to me. She took the time to explain the procedure to me and to ask me about my questions. I have had 4 sessions thus far with her. The facility is very well maintained. It's clean-line and peaceful. The appointments were easy to make, and Sara has always been on time. She seems very knowledgeable and experienced, and she talks during the procedure, so it makes me forget about the pain. After 4 sessions (spaced out each by 4-8 weeks), I have seen fantastic results. I have been buying packages of 3. I have been going to Sara since June when I purchased a deal on Groupon for the Laser Genesis and Microdermabrasion Facial. I really enjoyed it and have been going back every 2 months to do this for my skin. I have defnately seen a approvement in my pore size, and I am hoping to notice more collagen formation if I keep the regime up. Also just recently I went in for a B Vitamin Shot and I must say it was awesome I would recommend this to anyone who wants energy and overall improvement in well being. I also must note I did a treatment for vein removal as well, even though it was painful a little bit well worth it only took one treatment for the small vein on my leg. I originally had treatments there using an online coupon but those coupons have long since been used up YET I keep going back to Sara back and pay full price. I'm normally a bargain shopper so it really says a lot about Sara that I haven't gone elsewhere (using the countless online coupons out there). The 3 reasons I keep going back: 1) I TRUST her; when you're having laser treatment done, you want a pro working that machine. 2) Her laser works...really well. Better than I expected. My first experience here about a year ago was fine. However, my second experience was not and this is what my review is for. I had scheduled an appointment with Sara a few weeks ago for a Friday at 5:30 p.m. I arrived a little late, and to my surprise, no one answered. The number I called (by texting Google) just rang and rang, so I figured it must have been an old number. I then had to call around to find a friend who could look up the address, in case I got it wrong, and find a working phone number. I just got the voicemail several times and left some messages. All in all, I drove over 45 minutes from Orange County for nothing and waited about another 30 minutes. I thought maybe her doorbell was broken or I was at the wrong place - there is no sign or anything to indicate this is Broadway Skin Studio. Later that night, I saw that Sara had emailed me at 1:08 p.m. that day to cancel at the last minute. Of course I didn't get the email bc I was out all day and do not have a smartphone. Had I received a phone call instead cancelling, I would have been fine with it and probably would have just rescheduled. But since I did not, I had no idea what was going on. I also emailed her and did not get a response from her until Monday. Her excuse had been that she did not have my number bc I was a new client. However, I had been there in the past - this would have been my second visit, as I stated that I would be using my second Groupon with her. Also, I entered my phone number on her site when making my appointment, as it is one of the required fields you enter when trying to book an appointment. So I really don't know how she didn't have my number. Regardless, I think it is extremely unprofessional to not only cancel a few hours before an appointment, regardless of the reason, but to do it via email. Also, while she did say "sorry" and offered to assist me in getting my refund from Groupon, which she already redeemed, she could have done so much more. When a business is truly apologetic, they tend to offer a service or something with their apology. Sara did no such thing. I got the sense that she did not seem truly sorry (from her emails), that somehow it was my fault for missing her, as she stated she stayed until 5:45 and left - though her hours are listed as staying open until 9 p.m. on Fridays. Ironically, her policy states that if a client cancels within 24 hours, the client forfeits the Groupon or must pay $50 to reschedule. I guess clients who get cancelled on last minute get no such treatment. Poor Katie M. who had to forfeit her voucher because her baby got sick. Groupon was awesome in assisting me with my refund, however. I don't know if she treats all her clients this way or if it was bc I was using a Groupon, but regardless, it isn't right. read more

I made an appointment 2 weeks ago. This was after having to call several times on different days until someone finally picked up the phone and made the appointment for me. I called several times this last week to check and confirm the time for my appointment however again was unable to reach anyone, left several messages with no returned phone calls. Poor customer service as far as making appointments or speaking to front desk for scheduling. I think it would be wise to for this business to invest in an answering system so that clients can call and actually speak to someone regarding their treatment needs. So far, I've had 2 appts with Sara (who is an RN) for Laser Hair Removal which I purchased through Groupon. 1st Appt: Sara was very thorough to e-mail me instructions and an explanation as to what I should expect from LHR (even though I mentioned to her that I've had it done on my full legs, bikini and armpits already). She was extremely gentle during the procedure and made sure I was always comfortable with the heat level that was being used on my skin. It only took 10 minutes for my lower arms (15 if you include the paperwork that she'll have you fill out beforehand). After we were done, she made sure to setup my next appt. and then e-mailed me to find out if I had any concerns or reactions to the procedure. 2nd Appt: She e-mailed me a reminder (how cool is that?) and everything went just as smoothly as the first only BETTER. Between my first and second appt., she got this new machine that blows icy cold air on the area as she is treating you so you hardly feel any heat from the laser. It was so painless (a lot different than the laser treatments I first got 6+ years ago). I totally recommend Sara and the Broadway Skin Studio. Like others have said, she is totally honest and doesn't try to BS you or upsell you with treatments that you do not need. The location is a bit tricky in that you sometimes have to wait 5-10 minutes to turn off of Lincoln Blvd. to get to the studio if you coming from the South. But, if you like the one on one treatment with Sara (and only Sara)...you should definitely give her a shot. She offers some great deals! I've been to Sara once so far. I found out about Broadway Skin Studio as part of the "LA Spa Week." The pricing for spa week was great! And from what I remember, her normal pricing is pretty reasonable (in comparison with some of the other LA area laser spa's). I first came in here on a special, and now having tried a bunch of different places, I have to say that this place is the best.
