Waxing is tiring and annoying and it usually hurts. Sugaring makes the chore less terrible and using sugar/water just feels more natural. The girls who work here (South Bay location) are so nice and make you comfortable while they are busy sugaring away everything. The location is super clean, cute and they have appointments crazy late in the day which is amazing. You can actually find time to stop in, get taken care of and be on your way in 20 min. I was running late once like another reviewer had mentioned but I called and they pushed my appointment back and all was well. I've never had to wait longer than a minute or two before they are able to take me back and start on the sugaring fun. I've also arrived earlier and again, have been able to be seen right away. I was in need of a place to do a cost efficient airbrush tan for me for an upcoming fitness model shoot I was doing. I scoured the Groupons for one that I could get into right away. I didn't even buy the Groupon because it was a better deal without the Groupon. $39 for 1st time customer and 2nd tan free! They made everything much easier. After getting off the phone I received a text with my appointment time and the address. Text messaging simplifies everything for me. After standing in my birthday suit for about 2 minutes I forgot that I was in it. Made me feel very comfortable. There was no swatch for the different colors of tan so I went with the 2nd to darkest tan, as you can see the camera can really wash out the tannest person. I wasn't sure how tan it would be so i went with the 2nd darkest color. The next day I received a text message asking me about my tan. The gladly obliged and darkened the areas that I thought could use a little extra color without charging me extra. The want to make sure you are satisfied so they go above and beyond. I had a great first time experience with Sugared + Bronzed! I applaud them for their excellent communication and interaction with their clients. I was able to contact them through text message (& they were quick to respond) which made it easier for me versus trying to call and get a hold of them in case they were busy doing services. S+B is probably one of the few sugaring studios that offer a Brazilian for the price of $49, most places I know of charge at least $55-$60. Bethany took awesome care of me during my Brazilian sugar appointment. She got the job done quickly and professionally (25min!), hardly any mess left behind. She did a great job with making me feel comfortable as a first time client, so I will definitely be seeing her again soon. The only con I noticed about this establishment was the parking situation. It is located along a busy, main street. This studio shares parking with another business so you'd either get lucky to find parking in that small lot or park along the street;unless I missed additional parking located elsewhere... First time here today and I was very impressed! The place is cute and clean. Plenty of parking on the street and their own parking lot. I was serviced by Tiffany and she did an amazing job! HORRIBLE! My daughter booked spray tans for the two of us before a trip. I scheduled a wax to be done before the spray tan. i wanted a leg and bikini wax but the options on line do not offer this together so I had to do two separate procedures. I tried to call to make sure i scheduled properly but no one answers the phone! I texted the number and a very kind person responded and assured me I scheduled properly and then can do the spray tan with my daughter afterwards. Upon arrival a very rude person told me I was not going to be able to do the spray tan with my daughter as the procedure would take too long. I was there an hour before the spray tan mind you. She was extremely non accommodating and so I cancelled. I honestly felt like I was being old lady shamed! it was very clear they did not want my business. My daughter was very upset and cancelled hers as well. Our mother/daughter day completely ruin by this nasty person. read more

This place is awesome! I've had a lot of airbrush tans in my life, cuz hello, I'm a pasty white girl and sometimes you just have to tan it when you can't tone it!! Trust me, it makes you look like you lost 5-10 lbs. I've only had a few really good airbrush tans, amongst many bad ones, and this place is one of the few places I've had a perfect tan. The airbrush tanning artists clearly know what they're doing. Nice even spray technique, that doesn't leave you dripping or wet. Love that you can select a color between 1, 2 & 3 and they have rapid solution options too. For the record, I go for the 1 and it gives a nice natural tan glow. It doesn't hurt that every time I've tanned here, I get countless complements about how healthy I look. Don't look any further! Sugared + Bronzed is the place to get your glow on!! I love the sugaring process and benefits it provides for my skin since I wax in my sensitive areas. For me, it's proven to be less painful than traditional wax and less harsher on my skin. I appreciate that all the ingredients are natural and after I've had my hair removed they apply essential oils to help soothe the skin. Beautiful shop and really nice staff!! My only complaint was the girl at the front desk was pretty rude. I was running a few minutes late and showed up at exactly 1:10 when my appointment time was 1:00. As I approached the desk the clock struck 1:11 and she canceled my sugaring due to being 1 min past the 10 min grace period. Even though I spoke to her on the phone several minutes beforehand when I was just a light away. I understood I was late and that was def my fault but I explained my circumstance as to why and explained I was traveling for my honeymoon. I understand the policy but its also LA and impossible to control traffic and other factors such as plumbing breaking in your home right before your appointment. I also had a tan scheduled for 1:40pm and she acted as if they were doing me a favor by still taking me for that when it was still 30min until my tan appointment time. I ended up finishing my tan at exactly 1:40 which is the time it was supposed to begin. The girl doing the tan was so sweet and did a wonderful job! I was traveling for my honeymoon to Greece so was def looking forward to my sugaring appointment luckily a girl in training did a quick bikini line sugaring for me and she was fantastic and so nice! Thanks to that girl for being awesome and making a crummy day better! The rest of the staff were wonderful and very professional! Overall a great experience. read more
