Tyanna was an absolute pleasure from the moment I walked in. Being in customer service myself, people's energy is super important to me: it will make or break if I continue somewhere no matter how great the product may be. Thank y'all for taking great care of me- I did the versa dark and my color came out great. Thanks again! read more

I went in on a Wednesday and it was a little busy, but this cool blonde girl at the front desk named Brittany was super calm and helpful. The tanning bed I wanted was busy, but Brittany was super sweet and suggested an alternative. An all-around great tanning spot, great staff, and I highly recommend. read more

HORRIBLE Customer Service. I tried because location was closer to my home. Worst thing I did. Returned to the Tanning Spot !

Love both of the South Bay locations! Everyone is so nice there. I do unlimited spray tans here.

First time here and very happy with the experience! Former customer of Cop-A-Tan in Torrance and was tired of the upselling and equipment issues. Called ahead and spoke to Kaitlyn, who was pleasant and helpful. Went down and met Kaitlyn. UCATAN had written pricing! That was refreshing. COP-A-TAN Torrance only ever gave me verbal pricing which felt shady. At UCATAN, New customers get a buy one UV tan get one free deal. Kaitlyn did not pressure nor upsell me. She showed me how to work the bed and pleasantly answered all my questions. The place seemed clean and the uv tanning bed was modern. First tan came out great! Did notice there were no mirrors, either in the tanning room nor the restroom, which seemed strange. Would have been nice to have a small wall mirror after tanning. (Maybe the place is new and not fully decorated yet?). Will absolutely continue as a customer at UCATAN! read more

I have been going to UCATAN for years and have always had a great experience. The establishment is clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable...they go above and beyond to ensure their customers are well taken care of. Definitely recommend read more

All the employees are so nice and hardly ever had to wait! The place is always clean.I just wish there was music in the room, which I only experienced once. read more

I want the managers to know how special Sarah is the girl who works in the Redondo Beach location of Ucatan on PCH. Today when I was at Ucatan I got distracted and somehow left my wallet . It had all of my money in it n needless to say I was hysterical and crying. I went back to where I was before Ucatan and they even suggested I call the police which I did. Not so long after I got a phone call from Sarah who had my wallet! She called me and I was relieved! I went right back to get my wallet and it had all of my money in credit cards in it! Thank God she is an honest person! I will forever be grateful to her and to your business for hiring such good people with integrity that are honest in care about the customers! GOD BLESS YOU SARAH & I WILL CONTINUE TO ONLY DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR SALON! read more

Sydney was very knowledgeable about the sun beds and versa spray tan . I haven't been tanning in a while and she was very helpful when I asked for her advise on which products/ color to use for the spray tan. The place is very big, and I like that they have so many options. Lastly they have a special buy one tan session and get one for free. I definitely recommend this tanning salon! read more

Amy is the bomb! She is always smiling (from ear to ear)- very pleasant and welcoming---AND knowledgeable about the products. Even though she knows I have my product, she never fails to ask and still gets me to purchase upgrades from time to time ...(the little saleswoman!) Do I hear management???? She deserves a raise! read more

This is no longer a "Cop-A-Tan" location. Information regarding that would be nice before clients come to this location. Drove here thinking my membership would work here. They should probably change their name to avoid confusion. read more

My favorite location!! Great, friendly, efficient staff. They always remember me and my level of Mystic. Alexis & Amanda are super friendly and always chit chat if I'm stuck waiting for the booth to open up (which I love!). I've been to the other location off Artesia and found the staff to be unfriendly, uppity & very pushy about buying more sessions when I have 15+ left...not my style! read more

Been going to this location for years. There was a change of ownership and I was about to be done with this place....there was so much confusion with my account. Amy handles customers with care she took over when she heard my issue, told me not to worry. She has great people and management skills. Amy is an asset to the company! read more

Matt was so good. Knowledgeable, communicates well, and easy to deal with. Beds are nice too. Will def be back.

Cop A Tan has terrible customer service ! The management is no help i was told that my payment was already processed ! Really so what the management made it sound like they had no way of returning money ! But they have had no problem collecting $65.00 out of my account every month for a few years now I have been trying to cancel my subscription now for over a month! They have moved location on me twice now with no warning ! The first time i even lost lotion ! I talked with management on the phone and they were absolutely worthless .The company has one of the poorest customer service i have came in contact with in a long time! It is sad when a company could careless that they are losing a customer who has paid every month for a few years . All i got was that you signed the agreement ! I I had just upped my subscription and at that time the girl could have said that in a few weeks our location will be changes !!!!!!! Be careful you may walk in one day and they will just be gone ! read more

I truly love this place. Have been tanning since I was 16 and there is no salon like this one. Kudos to Meghan for starting my membership back up. You were amazing and I appreciated you making me feel so welcomed. You are a class act Meghan and so is this establishment. read more

This place is great! Friendly, helpful staff and it is super clean. Their monthly membership rates are very reasonable and they have great rates if you just need to get tan for a special occasion. I have tried other places because they were closer but always come back to Cop A Tan! read more

Was very disappointed with the new location new owners of this facility used to be Yucatán or sunset tan not honoring previous promotion on the other location when they were in Hermosa beach. The girl at the front counter his name is Yasmine was very rude and unprofessional should not be working at a retail facility there is a way to handle your customers and a way not to. The place needs to be completely cleaned painted and remodeled it's disgusting the other place was clean and the girls were friendly and nice even though the parking was not good. I will be shopping around giving one star is actually generous at this point read more

Hi. My name is Judith. I love Cop-A-Tan; especially the ladies that work there ( Megan, the Manager and Jackie)! It is clean, I get a great tan and it is reasonable. Treat: a chocolate on your towel. I have the lowest monthly package $20.90 a month. There is an initial sign up; however, you are given free upgrades. I tried the higher beds and used their hydration station. The hydration station is great! A 30-minute steam. It softens your skin and aids in weight loss. Go to Cop-A-Tan and Enjoy! read more

I'm a complete newbie at tanning, but Nikki (the front desk worker) was amazing! I have some events this weekend I didn't want to look ghostly for, and she was a pro at answering all my questions. Thank you!! read more

I hate being pale (save the lectures.) Cop-a-Tan is a great place to go. They have plenty of beds, so I am always in & out. I use the 20 minute beds, but the also have Orbit & spray tan (Mystic?) The staff is super friendly, and the prices are right. read more

Super friendly staff and clean facilities! Good price as far as tanning salons go and there hasn't been a wait in the two times I've been so far. They have a $19/month unlimited deal for their standard bed but I signed up to try the first week unlimited $25 and you can use any bed. So far I've tried the Diamond bed which is super fast, comfortable and well ventilated and the stand-up. I've always wanted to try a stand-up (good for germaphobes who don't want to lie down in a bed) and it just seems like a cool spaceship-like experience. I danced the whole time I was in there! It was well ventilated with fans above and below; although I don't recommend this if you're claustrophobic (but I'm sure claustrophobics don't go in tanning beds anyways so that's ok). Definitely worth checking out! read more

Clean and the most friendly staff! Amy is just amazing and so helpful. The versa stand up is my favorite for an instant tan.

From the very start, this place have provided the best customer service. My favorite is the diamond bed. Once a week, and you are good to go! read more

This is mostly a customer service review. I have repeatedly had great customer service from one of the girls here... Jackie. She is always pleasant and cheerful and actually takes the time to go over the different tanning options (and other services), instead of just pushing the best or most expensive packages, I don't feel rushed or like she's just trying to make a sale. There's obviously other tanning salons in the area that are nice as well, but I keep going here... because of the personal attention! Thanks Jackie ;-) read more

I have been going to Cop-A-Tan for the last ten years. I really like the place because there is plenty of parking and I can get a Mystic Tan without an appointment. The only down side is they change their "point system" constantly. So, you're never really sure how many tans you're going to get. Good place to go, with reasonable prices. read more

My cousin and I started going to Cop a tan in June and had the best experience from day 1!!! Julie was the friendliest and most knowledgable employee! Everyday we walk in we are greeted with our name and pleasant conversation! I've been tanning for 15 years and I've never had a better experience!!! Best tanning salon in the Southbay!!!! I'd recommend it to anyone!! read more

I love cop-a-tan!!! I come in about once every week and a half to tan and then get a mystic/spray tan. I have consistent results which keeps me coming back! Jackie has impeccable customer service and has also been a reason why I continue my membership with cop-a-tan! Thank you Jackie for always providing great service and always being so kind to myself and everyone else I see you enteracted with!! You will keep me coming back for years! :) read more

Went here to get a base tan so my pasty white buns didn't scare anyone on my trip to Hawaii and had to do some serious power tanning. The two girls at the counter were very helpful and even made me a "tanning schedule" for the week! Absolutely the best place to go!! Thank you girls!! read more

Not sure if this is still considered cop a tan (over in Redondo Beach by Whole Foods and Rite Aid) but either way, the tanning here is decent. I'm an an experienced tanning enthusiast. Back home in MN I've been a member at my local salon for over 5 years - and comparing there to cop-a-tan I would give cop-a-tan 4 stars and my home salon 5. First of all, the ambiance is missing hard core there. It's pretty run down aesthetically which can be uncomfortable. The beds are pretty basic all across the board - but I would most definitely recommend going into the Diamond or Luxor level bed if you want "high end" tanning. Also, the lotion selection is limited. However, the staff is very friendly. The girl who signed me up was very good at being warm and inviting to customers and was clear and concise when explaining my contract details. In my experience, any reviews that have people complaint about not being able to end their contract is 99% on them vs the salons fault. A 5 day to month prior notice is typical of all the places I've ever tanned or had memberships. So don't let those stories scare you. read more

Cop-A-Tan has definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff is always so friendly and never push to sell you something new. You can count on great service, a smile and a friendly atmosphere at this location! I haven't checked out the others, but if it is anything like this one, you will love it also! read more

Great place to tan. Clean, convenient and always a great atmosphere. The employees are nice and the prices are good. What more could you ask for. I was new to tanning when I started a couple months ago and the associate walked me through the different types of equipment, the effects and the best way for me to get some healthy color. I opted for a well priced tan club where I was able to tan unlimited and in addition for signing up I was given a ton of free upgrade points which I've been using for mystic/spray tans. My color is kickin and I'm ready for summer. read more

Cop a Tan is the best around I have lived in the south bay for years and if you want the best prices to go whenever you want and for as many times you want. It is always so clean and efficient. Cop a Tan is by far the best tanning salon around South Bay. I have tried many and they are superior. Part of their success is directly attributed to their employees . By far there BEST is Jackie.
