Absolutely love coming to this location. All the girls who work there are so sweet. Sarah and Alyssa always great me with a smile and Jamie and Jessica always ask me how my day was. They actually care about their clients and know everyone by name like a family. The tanning beds just got new lamps and are super strong. I booked a lash lift through classpass at Organique and received an automated message the morning…read moreof my appointment to please arrive 10-15 mins early as a first time client. I arrived 15 mins prior and found no one at the desk. Waited for a bit before saying "helloooo" to get someone's attention if they were in the back. The owner came out and made me feel as if it was a massive inconvenience that I was there early (when again, i was asked to be). She said she'd come out for me in a minute so I said no problem take your time. She came back out at 4 and told me which room to go in. She came in to start my service and all I was asked was if I've had a lash lift done before. I said yes, many times. She didn't ask or say anything else which I found odd given my previous experiences with these sorts of services- usually the esthetician would be interested in knowing of any sensitivities, preferences, allergies, etc. After some silence I asked if the lashes could please be more fanned out as I've gotten some lifts where the lashes end up very straight up. She responded with attitude "well yeah that's how they're SUPPOSED to be". I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe speaking up after that which is a shame because receiving a facial, massage, lash lift or any other service like this where someone is very in your space is first and foremost supposed to feel SAFE. I was shocked by her reply and just said yup okay sounds good. After more silence she let me know she "knew what I was trying to convey but the lashes are just going to follow the shape of the eye and this isn't lash extensions." Again, I just said yeah I understand. We continued through the service and toward the end she tells me "your lashes are so..." and I'm thinking she'll say something complimentary- your lashes are so nice, long, dark, beautiful. SOMETHING nice. No. "Your lashes are so stubborn. I was genuinely confused by her bedside manner and lack of tact through the whole service. I feel that a huge part of creating a nice experience for these types of services is being warm, friendly, personable and creating a safe environment of which I felt none. My service was prepaid for as I booked through classpass and after the results and horrible experience with Shabby. She had the audacity to let me know that they accept gratuity. Anyway, please see the pictures to see my lash "lift" immediately after and the next day. Again, I've received this service many times at other spas and have had fabulous results on my "stubborn" lashes. If I'd had good results I could've looked past the lack of warmth and rude attitude. That combined with the flattest lashes possible just make this a hard no. EDITED to add clear directions from classpass stating to arrive early and timestamped photos of my service since the owner is claiming the photos do not reflect how I looked when I left.
