A friend referred me to Sugared + Bronzed in Dana Point, CA. I scheduled my first sugaring experience ever, and I'm so happy I did! I'm currently pregnant and late in my third trimester. Even though I started the process of laser hair removal on my bikini and underarms pre-pregnancy, unfortunately all my hair came back during pregnancy. Such a bummer! Now, unable to shave on my own, sugaring appealed to me as a great pregnancy-approved and holistic alternative! I highly recommend my sugarista, Heather, she is patient, thoughtful and thorough. She let me pause to take a break (you're definitely more sensitive when pregnant) and gave me time to change positions so I didn't lie on my back too long. The results are great- Super smooth feel and no irritation post procedure! Even though I eventually plan to resume laser hair removal treatments post-pregnancy when given the green light, I actually look forward to sugaring again, and will opt to sugar until I can resume laser treatments. The tanning process is seamless and because one of the girls sprays the tan on your body they really cover everything evenly and the tan applies so nicely. I have now come here 3 times for brazilian sugaring. I moved to the area from San Diego and was distraught to leave my 4 year long stint with a sugaring artist there (shout out to Chandra Campos and Love Sugaring SD--she is truly wonderful). I had even scheduled trips down to San Diego once a month for awhile after moving to try to stick with her but the logistics and traffic made me look closer to my new home. I found Sugared + Bronzed on yelp and came with high expectations. This is a great place, she does a wonderful and quick job without missing anything. I have only come for brazilian sugaring services and have not yet had a tan or other sugaring done here. I see great reviews on the tans and am thinking about adding that next time I come. The girls who work here are all super friendly, really kind, and knowledgeable. I have never been up-sold at all which I REALLY appreciate. The salon is very clean, small, and feels very private. Tried sugaring for the first time and it is wayyy better than waxing. The sugar mix isn't hot, is noticeably less painful, and doesn't leave bumps like a waxing. Have only participated in sugaring here. The salon is adorable and staff is kind and professional. Heather does a great job on the sugaring, although not the most comfortable situation (Brazilian sugar), she gets it done perfectly and in quick time! As a pointer to those new to sugaring, really make sure the hair is grown out long enough, my second time in they told me the hair was a little short and I still went with it... Ouch, and I really mean, OH S*** OUCH. It freakin hurt! When the hair is long enough, it is not as painful and the more regular you are, the better the results. I love my tan from Sugared & Bronzed. They book quick so I usually plan ahead and use their easy online booking service. But, if you really want to get in always check daily for openings. People do cancel enough that you can sneak in. All the people who have tanned me are professional and friendly. I never have that orange look you can get at other places. Plus, I think they do it quick and efficiently. They are always on time. I have gone to people who are much less professional, late and the results did not seem to last as long. I was told one thing by their desk staff, that was apparently wasn't true. This place is THE BEST. Full Brazilian takes less than 15 minutes. I did an airbrush tan after sugaring and it turned out perfect - in and out in 30 min for both services! All the ladies that have sugared me and waxed me were so sweet and all of them did a great job. I've done the express tan twice and the regular tan once - I love them both, just depends on my plans for the day that I decided between the two. I'd never had a spray tan before coming here. Someone suggested I do it for my wedding (a nice way of calling me too pale?) so I decided to give it a go. They have a $39 for 2 tans offer for new clients, so I booked a wedding trial tan 2 weeks before my wedding. The actual place is EXTREMELY small. It's accessible through a weird side door. You'll wonder if you're going to the right place. You are. There is just a small reception area and then the small tanning room. They can only accommodate one person at a time, so you can't just walk in and get tanned. Make an appointment! The appointment system on their website is extremely easy and convenient. From the time you walk in until you walk out, it's only about 20-30 minutes. As for the tan itself: It was easy. You can wear as little or as much as you want. I went naked. The woman was very professional and nice. And thorough--she got EVERY INCH. My results were good. I got the standard tan (shower 12 hours after the tan; with the express tan, you can shower in 3 hours). I chose medium and it just looks like I've been sun-kissed. The tan really did not take on my face, but I don't think that's anything against Bronzed. A couple tips: Shave or wax or whatever BEFORE your tan. Moisturize a ton AFTER your tan. Wear clothes you don't care that much about--just in case. If you're getting your face done, make sure it's clean. I can straight from work, but they had wipes to clean my face. They were super nice about following up via text and email. They send appointment reminders, offers, etc. Really good service! I'll be back the day before my wedding :) read more

Ballroom dancers - this review pertains to you! I am all too aware of the vast time and effort we put into spray tan research before a competition. (For non-dancers, yes, it's true. We can spend 45 minutes discussing spray tans.) I'm operating on the assumption that if you're reading this, you are fully aware that an airbrush tan kicks the pants off of Mystic. I am SO happy with these ladies that they are now my go-to competition airbrushers. My tan looked great (so good in face that I went back today just for a regular-person tan because I'm pasty white from being in a dance studio all day). No mean feat consider my 1/2 Irish/1/2 Scottish genetics mean I have nary a melatonin cell (or whatever they're called). My stomach hadn't seen the light of day for years and, as you know, there are no secrets kept in a Latin dress. It's a tiny little place - all they do are airbrush tans. It is the opposite of any of those tanning places in malls - no loud music, weird smells, or bored teenagers behind the counter. It's like being in your bedroom and getting a tan. Colleen is awesome. I had an issue with my tan where it came out a little bit orange, and I left an initial Yelp review expressing that I was pretty disappointed. The next day, I got a call from the owner of Sugared + Bronzed, Courtney, apologizing for my less-than-optimal experience! She was so sweet and not only refunded my tan but also gave me another free tan. She believes that my issue may have been because of my skin type, and that instead of the regular tan, I should try the express next time. I believe that 100% because I have had some experiences that were fantastic whereas my friends did not think so, even though we did the same tan. I have special skin I guess ;)! Needless to say, I will absolutely be coming back! I am optimistic to try the express tan, but even if I got a tan that was a complete disaster, I would keep coming back because of the FANTASTIC customer service. Great little spray tan studio. I just moved here and I'm so happy i found it. Super clean and cute! I'm an esthetician and own a spray tan gun but left it back in Vegas. I've worked with a lot of solutions. The girl told me it's their private solution and the color turned out super nice. I went for the med-dark because i wanted it to last a little longer. The girl did a great job and i could tell by her technique. She did some contouring around my collar bone and i asked her to make my stomach a little darker. She did a great job!
