She is all sorts of talented. She just has "it", the "x" factor, that wonderful touch that makes you feel all amazing and J.Lo glowy after you leave. She really wanted me to relax and enjoy myself. She explained everything without upselling, and she was such a graceful and healing presence. She was the most requested facialist at Burke Williams before she started her own place. She is also always super booked, so make sure you get in early and often. You, too, can look like a six year old. She also doesn't leave you in the room with a mask. Oh no, she takes being in the room and healing massage to a different level: she uses healing stones on your feet, puts your hands in warm gloves and basically gives you a full body massage. Massage and facial = yes please!! I'll tell you how good she is: I walked in having a truly awful day, and I walked out knowing and feeling that everything is going to be alright. Now, that's a healing experience.

I leave every appointment smoother and more educated than when I walked in. Most importantly, I've never felt awkward with her. I read the YELP review from another customer and just had to respond. I have been a client of OC Sugaring for over a year, and could not be happier with the customer care and quality of service received. I followed Karie to her new location and appreciate the privacy it allows. She has a beautiful, private room and shares a small common area with other specialists. It's no different from anywhere else I have gone for spa-type services. There is a large mirror on the wall and a hand mirror provided upon request. What was this other customer needing to see that couldn't be seen with those options? Karie has flexible times and days for appointments, and as long as clients run on time as requested, she will run on time. I have never had to wait. Karie has the perfect blend of personality and professionalism to put clients at ease, especially during the more intimate sugaring services. Her skills have helped to improve my quality of life, and I am so glad she is here in So Cal. read more

I've been coming to OC Sugaring for a while now and have had such a great experience every time. Maddy and Kara are both amazing -- professional, friendly, thorough, and they somehow make the whole experience feel comfortable and easy. What I appreciate most, though, is how incredibly accommodating and understanding they are. I have unfortunately been late to my appointment more than once , and they have always been so gracious and done their best to accommodate me. I've never felt rushed, judged, or uncomfortable because of it, and I genuinely appreciate their patience and kindness. The studio itself is always clean, welcoming, and relaxing, and the service is consistently excellent. They're efficient without making you feel rushed, and I always leave happy with the results. It's rare to find a place where you get great results AND genuinely great customer service. Maddy and Kara are both wonderful, and I highly recommend OC Sugaring! read more

Having been in charge of my own bikini area for the past 15 years or so, I was more than a little nervous to try sugaring for the first time. I had never waxed before, so I can't make the comparison, but I CAN tell you that the 15-20 minutes I spend with Karie every 3-4 weeks TOTALLY beats the time spent with the razor every couple of days!! She immediately made me feel completely comfortable (despite having to lie there half naked) and helped keep me distracted through the whole process, since she could tell I was practically terrified. I can't tell you that it is an entirely pain-free process, but it is nowhere near the awful pain level I expected, and really, what's 20 minutes of unpleasantness, for a month of a hair-free bikini zone? I have recommended Karie to a couple of friends already, and I would tell everyone to pay her a visit!! She is the BEST! read more

Trust the 5 star reviews like I did! Karie is amazing and makes you feel so comfortable, even when it's your first appointment ever. She's so quick, efficient, and easy to talk to, so it helps distract from the pain. Sugaring does still hurt, after all you're pulling hair out of your skin, but the pain is mostly only in the moment, it doesn't last very long. Seriously, if you're considering sugaring, go to Karie! As the only man willing to admit i get sugared (on my back you sickos) I am proud to call Karie my sugar lady. I used to get waxed and that my friends feels like they were attempting to also remove my skin. She made me feel very comfortable, especially given the circumstance lol It really is not as painful and people make it out to be. I would say it was more uncomfortable then painful. The waxing process probably took about 20 min., if that. i am so happy with the result, i ended up making another appointment for next month! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try waxing instead of shaving, especially if its your first time. =)
