Had a good experience with Faraz. Yelp was a trusty guide in figuring out where I should go for threading. Threading is painful but the results are clean! I got my eyebrows cleaned up and she listened that I didn't want any of my shape changed or touched. Just simply cleaning the bottom and top of the shape. I also did upper lip which really hurt . Waited about 5 min? Two ladies working. She offered aloe Vera to cool it down at the end. $22 for eyebrows and upper lips. A steal. I want to try tinting next time. read more

Every time I've come here, the service has been excellent and they do a great job. My only consistent complaints have been the timing and the high-pressure upselling. On my most recent visit, I came in as a walk-in right when they opened, expecting the wait to be minimal. However, both employees were already with clients, so I waited. After I'd been sitting there for quite a while, another customer came in and asked how much longer it would be. The employees told her it would be about 10 more minutes and even acknowledged that I was next. About 10 minutes later, one of the employees finished with her client. Instead of calling me over, the woman who had arrived after me walked over, said, "I'm just going to go now. I'm in a hurry" and took the chair. The owner allowed it without saying anything to me or acknowledging that I'd already been waiting for over 35 minutes. What frustrated me most wasn't the wait itself--it was the complete disregard for my time. If there had been an explanation or even an apology, I would have understood. Instead, they knowingly let another customer skip ahead despite telling her that I was next. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed. It's unfortunate because the quality of their work has always been good, but after this experience, I won't be returning. read more

I'm really disappointed with my experience at this location. I usually go to the San Clemente location and have always had great service there, so I was expecting a similar experience here. Unfortunately, this was my second visit to this location, and it was very disappointing. I came in wanting to have my eyebrows cleaned up and thinned just slightly. I specifically asked for only a small amount to be taken off and for them to be cleaned up. After she finished, I noticed my eyebrows were uneven, so I politely asked if she could make them even. When she handed me the mirror again, I was honestly shocked. My eyebrows had been threaded down to pencil-thin lines, and my right eyebrow now goes in two different directions. They are extremely uneven and almost completely gone. I was on the verge of tears. I came in hoping to leave feeling more confident, and instead I left feeling incredibly self-conscious. Thankfully, my eyebrows grow back fairly quickly, but that doesn't change how upsetting this experience was. I hope this feedback helps prevent someone else from having a similar experience and encourages more attention to the client's requests in the future. read more

I have had a wonderful experience every time I've come here, and have recommended many friends and family. Both older women who have done my eyebrows were kind, professional, and did an amazing job. Yesterday, the girl who did my eyebrows told me at 3 different points that I should wax my nose hair so that I would look "more American". I kept telling her kindly that I wasn't interested in that service today and was just here for my eyebrow threading, but she wouldn't take No for an answer and kept stopping the threading to tell me why it would look better. I understand making a recommendation based off your professional opinion, however after saying I'm not interested, that doesn't mean you should stop the eyebrow threading every couple of minutes to explain why I should do the other service. And to get progressively more insulting with the reasoning of why, isn't okay either. Also, I'm Iranian and don't think that "looking more American" should be a selling point or consider it a compliment. I never said I wanted that. Take the No for an answer. Insisting repeatedly and shaming me into doing a service, pushed me away from returning. read more

I asked for a clean up and I got botched brows. They look so choppy and she took too much from the bottom of the eyebrow on the right so it now has a weird arch. I had a really bad experience at True Threading. The woman who did my eyebrows (she had white hair) was extremely careless while threading. She actually cut the skin above my eyelid with the thread, leaving visible cuts. This has never happened to me before in all the years I've had my eyebrows threaded. It was painful and unnecessary. She was very reckless with how she was using the thread. I didn't get her name, but I hope the salon takes this seriously and ensures better training and care in the future. read more
