I have tried out the RSM location and the Mission Viejo location. The first time I went, I was super happy with my brow threading and was excited to go back. However, on my next two visits, I had the same brow lady back to back who took SO long to thread my brows. She kept going back and forth with the thread, tweezers, scissors to trim, and repeat. Kept asking me to pull down on my eyelid and tilt my face a bunch of different ways. It was so painful. I felt like she was shaping my brows one hair at a time. She took forever and I was just really frustrated about how slow and time consuming the process was. My brows didn't even look that great after, i could have reproduced those results at home with a face razor for free. She was probably learning and maybe this is her first time on the job or something, but it was just a very frustrating process, especially given that I could barely speak to her in English and actually communicate. I've given this place multiple chances after my one good experience, but the same lady (don't remember her name) was at both for some reason and did a horrible job each time. This was hands down the worst eyebrow threading experience of my life. I understand how eyebrows aren't identical twins and can sometimes even be distant relatives. I left the store with my eyebrows as complete strangers - one with a distinctive arch and a small patch missing and the other one uneven. I was hesitant going in because it's also the most expensive place I've gone to, $15. And I could have mentioned something when they showed me their final product, but I was appalled at what I saw and developed trust issues. This was also the slowest threading experience of my life, which led me to believe that I would be happy with the results. Definitely will not be coming here again though, sorry! read more

I just had the worst experience and want to cry. The girl totally made me feel like crap. I've been getting my eye brows threaded at various places for over 12 years and have never been treated so poorly. She acted like my brows were unshapeable and she said she was "going to do my best" and sighed heavily. She kept barking at me to move my head this way and that and sometimes she would physically move it herself harshly. She ended up leaving giant patches in my brows and said she couldn't do anything about it. I'm never going back here read more

Had a very poor experience here. I thought it could be trusted because of the good reviews yet I left here very unhappy. I obviously wasn't clear enough of what I wanted but I had to go home and finish the job. She left stray hairs left since she was rushing-she wasn't very gentle either.... I like my eyebrows to take their natural shape and make the arch sharper. When I asked her to arch them she said it'd be hard and I'd have to be patient? I wanted to pay card but the something went wrong then she couldn't even give me the right change!! Save your brows and go elsewhere!! read more

I have gone to the RSM location a couple of times for threading, and heard that they recently expanded business here, so I decided to give them a shot at this new location, and the experience here was TERRIBLE!!! I came in yesterday and I don't remember her name. She has dyed blonde hair and she was the only one available yesterday when I walked in. She was incredibly rude and refused to do my brows the way I liked them to the point I had to keep asking her and then she ended up charging me way more just for brows. I was only planning on getting brow waxing done for the first time without threading and plucking which would be additional services adding up to the charge. When she waxed she did the top of my brows, and the in between area perfectly fine, but when it came to the skin of messy unwanted hair below my brows, she ended up putting the wax below where I wanted it, and the wax below my brows did not touch the hairs I wanted removed at all. When she moved on to applying Aloe Vera, I had to stop her and tell her I wasn't happy at all. I then told her that I want wax put in my unwanted hairs and to make a clean line on the bottom of my brows. I like my brows nicely shaped and feminine with pointed edges, an arch, and squarish fronts. Even this rude lady who was doing my brows has the perfect brows I want. She kept saying that my brows are different but I tried showing her pictures of me on how I got my brows done before. She clearly did not listen to me at first and gave me an attitude. Then she kept saying that she'll pluck the rest of my hairs with a tweezer and do threading, which I was not even planning for. I just wanted waxing, so only one service, not more than that. I don't like my brows bushy, I like changing them to a neater shape. It took so much threading and plucking to finally clean up all of my unwanted hairs, as if she didn't know what she was doing. She even kept saying words like "Finally!!!" and "So you want to get rid of all your brows?" she even said NO a couple of times when I requested her to avoid plucking too much and to only stick with waxing and threading with her snarky attitude. If I'm paying for a service, then just do whatever the heck I ask for without ridicule!!! I just prefer my eyebrows to be a bit thinner and neat, with a perfect arch and pointed edges just like hers so she was honestly behaving like a hypocrite. The reason why I came here is to get them shaped exactly how I like them without having to deal with an attitude. If I wanted to keep my brows bushy and messy then I would have never have came here in the first place. So instead of charging me $20 as quoted on the phone, she changed it to $30. The fact that I had to pay extra for additional services just because she did not know how to wax properly like I've seen on viral videos shows a lot of unprofessionalism. The ladies in the RSM location seem much nicer. I would honestly appreciate at least a partial refund for the mess and the rudeness I experienced in this location. The one with dyed blonde hair here needs to learn better customer service, keep her snarky attitude to herself, and stop being a money hungry scammer!!! read more

Came here with gorgeous thick eyebrows and left with thin sad ones. Now I cry every time I take off my makeup. I just wanted a little cleanup, I now have that dated 90s sad clown look. Can't stop crying. I pray that my brows grow back! I'm filling them in with powder even after I take off my makeup because I can't stand to see myself like this. Hala did my eyebrows. She is very friendly but she can only do one type of brow that doesn't look good on everyone. If you like that thin 90s uneven look she is your girl. Otherwise just go somewhere else. I was in a tight schedule so I tried to make an appointment for eyebrows, she said walk ins only. So I came in and there was a 15min wait, I told her I'll put my name down and back then. When I returned, someone else was on the chair so I waited. When they finished, I wasn't even offered to go next. The owner was very passive and I didn't get to try it out. Wow I never seen someone so rude. Took my wife as she wanted to get a threading done and this woman short hair came out pulling back a curtain and said I'm with a customer can't help you for long time and walked back to what she was doing behind the curtain as we both stood there like what just happens. It was like she doing us a favor by giving her the business. I know few ppl that goes here and I will tell them about this incident and I know they might reconsider going back. This place is a clean, professional threading bar. I came here to get my whole face threaded and the lady Hala did a good job. I had not had my face or eyebrows threaded in a very long time and she tried to make me feel relaxed. It is surprisingly easy to tense up and not relax your brows or facial muscles! She worked quickly and efficiently. I am not sure if they take appointments, but there were people walking in all the time. Edit: I have downgraded to one star after breaking out on my eyebrows... something that has NEVER happened to me after a brow threading session. This review and two-star rating is based on the horrible costumer service I received today. I came into this establishment as a walk-in around in the evening to have my brows threaded. There was one woman being threaded and any other girl waiting before me and one only woman working (a middle aged woman with braces on her lower teeth.)This was no problem, I expect a bit of a wait when I go into places as a walk-in. The woman who was threading the women in front of me seemed to be really friendly and warm with them. I assume they were regulars. However, when it came my turn to get her chair, this woman was instantly cold. Not even a "Hello how are you?" was muttered, and when I asked her how she was she simply asked what I wanted done. As she went to work on me I tried to engage in small talk as she had no problem doing this with her previous costumers-- but she was still cold. Instead of letting me see my brows before she made me get up, she simply told me she was done, told me to get up and gave me a mirror and walked away to the front of the store. When I have been to this place in the past most brow techs have offered me witch hazel for my brows. But whatever, perhaps she had an appointment with someone and had to rush me. When I went to pay I asked if I could leave a tip when paying with my card, but the lady informed me that they only take cash tips now, when I apologized and told her the last time I was there I could pay with my card, she told me that they hadn't done that in almost two years (I in fact hadn't been there for two years because school brought me out of state). When I was done paying I thanked her and apologized again, and she then promptly turned and walked away from me without even a goodbye or even a nod... I suddenly didn't feel so bad for not tipping her. I would have give this place one star based on how rude this lady was, but she did do a good job for the service I requested. I have been coming to this location since I have moved back to OC. Let me tell you. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded since HS. That's about almost 15 years of experience. I've gone to all kinds of stores, well known ones too, such as Ziba. The point is, I know a great artist when I see one. Her name is Leslie. She is from Nepal. She is the sweetest and the kindest employee. Always ready for engagement for interaction and making you feel at home. She is now my permanent artist. As soon as I walk in I was helped by Leslie, I can honestly say I have never loved my eyebrows this much, she is such a perfectionist and her job was literally PERFECT. Upa is so amazing at shaping your brows exactly as you want and she does AWESOME Henas! She's great at her job and helps you maintain your perfect brows, rather than having your brows be amazing one week and then horrible another. It seems that employee Hala is having a bad day today. She treated my wife like a child, and with complete disrespect. We have been going to this salon since it opened, and we have never had a bad experience. However, Hala seems to be very aggressive and her attitude is poor. Once again, this is not the first time my wife had a threading treatment. However, Hala kept barking at my wife not to move, even though my wife was very still. Furthermore, the amount of pain caused by Hala was far more than any of the other technicians. She even commented by saying "I work very fast, and when people move, I tend to cut their skin." It is also amazing how much she uses tweezers, rather than the thread. This is definitely not normal as compared to other technicians. I highly recommend that Hala receives a refresher in customer service and threading technique. read more

Love love love this place. It's super clean and super convenient! Upa is my go to gal. She's extremely kind and so accommodating and knows exactly what to do! She asks what you specifically want done and she works her magic. She always does a precise job and I've never been disappointed with her work. The eyelash area was just a tiny tiny small area with a bed and a curtain. Horrible. The lady who did my eyelashes was nice, but I asked her to do very small ones around the inward side of my eyes (closest to my nose) and she did the same size as all the other ones. She had to redo those. A few days after, I noticed a lot of my eyelashes were not individually glued but were stuck to each other. Normal eyelash extensions are suppose to be on a single eyelash.. I had them chunked. I had to pull it out because it was so thick and annoying. I don't recommend this place. Go to a real eyelash extension or service business. When i got my eyelashes taken off at a different location (because of brow story + beauty bar) the girl said my eyelashes were extremely damaged from her glue and how she applied them. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AND no one else should if you can want your eyelashes damaged and half gone.. read more

I needed a brow place close by, and was tempted to drive double distance than this place to Perfect Brows which has rave reviews, but this place has the same positive reviews, just not as many. I decided to give it a shot. So glad I did, there was no wait and I was tended to by the first station on the left when you walk in. I wish I would have gotten her name, anyways she did an amazing job. Asked me what I wanted and I didn't even know what to ask for cause I just wanted eyebrows not like mine but cleaned up and well shaped. She did just that. I've regularly been going to a threading place by my house and the woman who does it has just gotten used to doing what she normally does with me, but I'm never impressed by it. She doesn't do anything wrong, I just don't walk out feeling like I have killer brows, this woman on the other hand at Brow Story, made me feel that way. She kind of fixed them cause she said one eyebrow was a little off than the other, now I feel so much better. The place is very clean, and almost a cute boutique feel to it. Not like those normal cheesy American-Indian blend threading places, not that I mind but it's nice having a cuter place to walk into. I just had my third brow threading here on a Living Social I purchased. All three times I have gone have been great. The guy who runs the front desk is always friendly, the woman who does the threading does a great job and I have had no complaints. I think threading is painful. I haven't had a non-painful threading job in 4+ years of doing it pretty regularly. I expect it to be uncomfortable, but it doesn't last very long and I have never gotten irritation after (beyond the redness for like 30 mins after the threading is done)... Those expecting threading to be non-painful because of the skill of the threader or the type of thread are mislead I believe. I don't have a high pain tolerance, most "upkeep" is painful for me (waxing, threading, etc.) but it's necessary if you want to get it done and look nice. What I like about this place is that when Luxmi notices I am squirming or breathing hard or my eyes are watering, she takes a break, hands me a tissue and gives me a quick break. I have never attributed the pain to her skill. My brows always look great when she is done. I give it five stars because the place is clean, easy to find, the people are friendly and the prices are great. Today I ran in to get my brows done with my 2 year old, and he acted up while I was getting my brows done and the woman behind the desk helped keep him entertained while Luxmi finished. She didn't have to do that but she was very kind and patient with my little guy. I really appreciated it. I would recommend this place, it is now my go- to place for a brow job! read more

I've been getting my brows threaded here for a while now and love this cute little shop! The decor is nice and elegant. The ladies take their time with your brows and do their best to shape them as nice as they can. I cheated on Brow Story once and got my brows threaded at another shop and they turned out waaayy too flat! Even my boyfriend thought they were, and he never has anything bad to say about my eyebrows. They are quiet and don't talk much, but sometimes I prefer that to awkwardly trying to maintain a conversation that doesn't want to happen. read more

I just stopped by this place for the first time today and had my eyebrows threaded by Farrah. I haven't had my eyebrows done in about a month or month and a half, so I was really due for a threading. When my brows grow out too much, my sister calls them my caterpillars, lol. Farrah asked how I wanted them done and I said that I usually leave it to the... I guess, aesthetician? to determine. However, I did say that I wasn't pleased with the last person I went to (not here; it was in my hometown in NJ, where I was visiting last month). She made my brows too straight and I wanted a slight arch to them. Farrah said she'll do her best. When she was done, my caterpillars were tamed and arched. I don't have a lot of hair in my eyebrows, so I didn't have much to work with. Sometimes people thin my eyebrows too much and I end up looking like I barely have any left (and I'm against drawing in eyebrows because it looks funny to me), but that wasn't the case here. When I was paying ($11), the girl at the front gave me a punch card for my next visit... like she knew I was going to come again. Hala was extremely rude! She took no time on my brows nor did she make sure they were even before I left. I saw that they were uneven, but she was so incredibly rude from the minute I sat down, I just wanted to get out of there. I really wanted to leave mid threading. Sadly, because I didn't leave I have two incredibly different brow looks on my face. I have come here many times before, but after this experience I will not come again. I understand people have bad days, but if you have a profession where you are perfecting someone's FACE and you are not able to be 100% let that person know, or they will be extremely upset, which is exactly how I feel right now. read more

The place Is really well kept and customer service was good too. However, there was only one tech and I had to wait a while. That was the only down side.
