I made an appointment with my regular nail tech Tracy, when I got to the salon they had no record of my appointment with her, in fact someone else had my appointment time with her. I've been to Sugar Nails Spa a few times now either for dip nails or a pedicure, and have been happy with my experiences. I like that this place is clean and professional but isn't trying to be some bougie nail salon (like some others I've tried in the area). Most recently I visited to get my nails done for a girls weekend to Disneyland. I had never gotten a nail design, but Long did an AMAZING job taking my inspiration photos and making my nails look gorgeous. I do wish they offered some sort of hand massage with their manicures but it's not a deal breaker for me. Horrible service. I had a appointment and when I walked in they told me a 10 minute wait. Then proceeded to take my husband for his pedicure and I was waiting there for 45 for my manicure. They got done with my husband's pedicure before I could even be seen. Very unprofessional. Never even ended up getting my manicure, just left after a hour of waiting. We just had the most unprofessional experience at Sugar Nail Spa. My daughter and I have been going there for months. Today, was super quiet, only a few people there. About 10ish minutes into our manicures, an employee starts yelling the F word repeatedly at someone on the phone. It was bad enough she had this call on speaker, but she began using the F so much it would have embarrassed Billy Bob Thornton's character in Landmam. It was nuts. We all just stared at her, and it seemed to calm a bit. For a minute or two. Then she started again, it was CRAZY rude. I finally turned around and loudly said "would you take that outside?". To which the woman waved her hand dismissivly toward me. Halfway through a manicure we were kind of stuck there, but one young woman that had not yet had her nails start, got up and walked out. The rest of us, 4 clients, just kept glaring at each other. When we asked why the manager wasn't saying something, turns out she IS the manager/owner. Her boyfriend/husband whatever was cussing her out on speaker phone as she shouted "F you" over and over. It is absolutely shocking that this happened and we will not be returning. The guy asked me if I filed my nails which I said yes. he started getting an attitude with me and told me that I filed them incorrectly. So I asked him just go ahead and fix it and then he told me to do it myself. Let me send you pictures of how my nails look. There was nothing wrong w/ my nails that he could not fix. This is my second time coming here, and I'm even more blown away this time around. I requested Long again. He is the best of designs and his work really showed that today! I go to Maricopa for my nails. I like very intricate designs.... I gave it a shot today since he did my toe so well last time and he blew it out of the water today! I showed him a picture and he re-created the design even better than I could've imagined. He is so incredibly talented!!! I went from having a nail artist in Maricopa and a toe lady in Mesa and I will now be going here to see him specifically for both! The vibe the place is always so immaculate and clean. My favorite colors as always in the service is exceptional there. They offered me a drink they got me a neck warming pillow and long notice my back was hurt hurting so he grabbed me a pillow for my back there's just so much attention to detail there and I'm impressed every time I've gone! I'm really disappointed with my last experience at Sugar Nails and Spa. I've been coming here for almost a year and never had issues before, but this time was completely unacceptable. During my pedicure, my toe was cut, my feet weren't scrubbed, and I didn't receive the massage that was supposed to be included. I still paid plus tipped because I didn't realize he skipped over everything until after I left. I called afterward, and they told me they would check the cameras and call me back about a refund. Nobody ever did. When I called again, suddenly the owner and manager "weren't there," which is hard to believe because every time I come in, they're always there and the salon is constantly busy. I wasn't asking for anything crazy, just accountability or a refund for a service that clearly wasn't get done correctly. Really disappointing customer service after being a loyal customer. read more

I went to this nail salon to get ready for my trip to Vegas this weekend, and it turned into a nightmare. The technician doing my nails seemed completely lost from the start. She cut off her previous work and soaked my nails in acetone--I'm assuming to start over--but things went downhill fast. She was incredibly rough while shaping, and then it happened: she cut my actual nail. It started bleeding and was pulsating in pain. I was shocked. When I told the manager, he looked just as confused as the tech. And the technician's "solution"? She suggested cutting off all of my nails. I was already in pain--why would I want her anywhere near me again? This was hands-down the worst nail experience I've ever had. I've never felt so uncomfortable and uncared for at a salon. I have been customer of Tracy's for over 10 years. Hands down the best. Never have I had any issues with this location. 100% would recommend Sugar Nails. I always get dip to my nails and a deluxe pedi with gel. The workers there are very nice and make you feel at home. I would recommend if there something you don't like then speak up it will be corrected. She strives to make her customers happy. read more

I barely go out to get my nails done as I've learned to do them at home, but decided to give it a try again. Unfortunately, this is left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will probably never go to a nail salon again. Well Over $100 to get your nails done is such a splurge and I just cannot comprehend how people can give this of service. First, my pedicure was fine UNTIL the young man who was doing my nails filed my nails so hard and short that he made me bleed. That wasn't even as bad as the next part. Evelyn, who was doing my acrylics, took well over an hour and was not even finished.. listen I don't mind if you're doing a good job but as you can see in the photos, there was so much buildup underneath my nails and she did a terrible job. But get this- she also argued with me multiple times, I first wanted a pink color, but as I sat there for an extended period of time, decided I wanted to do white instead. She then laughed in my face clearly talked shit about me.(PS just because you're speaking another language doesn't mean I can't tell your tone of voice that you're talking to your friends in.) her reasoning was because she did the pink tinted fill. She told me that I could not do white over it and I had to do a pink . From the photos, you can clearly tell that white would've absolutely covered whatever color was underneath. Additionally she first tried to cut them super short and I said I wanted a little bit longer and then she left them way too long and didn't even let me choose my length. After she was rude to me, argued with me, did a terrible job and took such a long time- I was done. I went up to pay and notified them of how long she was taking and how horrible my nails were and I mentioned that she wasn't even done and I didn't do polish, and I asked if it was included in the price. They called over the owner who said Yep it's included. No discount or credit for my terrible experience and the job that wasn't even finished. Absolutely disgusting. We went here based on the pictures on their Instagram which I have now reversed google imaged and they are stealing their pictures from other platforms and sticking their logo on the picture. The lady who did my pedicure and manicure had an attitude problem from the moment I walked in and was extremely rough the entire time and just plain rude. They then proceeded to say they were going to call the 911 on me because I was asking questions and calling them out on their fraudulent prices! They continued to charge me full price for a gel pedicure for myself minus the gel polish design that was included in the price of my pedi, then one guy got in my face with my daughter standing next to me screaming you have one last chance to pay or I'm calling 911. I never once said I wasn't going to pay. I then proceeded to pay $174 for NOTHING, call them a liar, and told them f- you and left they then screamed at me again calling me names as I walked out the door. terrible vibe terrible customer service! My first time here was on Labor Day. Unfortunately, the very next day I noticed that my gel was already chipping off my toes. This is something that has never happened in over 20 years of getting gel. I called them, and they said to come back so they could fix it for me. They did not seem annoyed, and treated me very well when I came back. They said do not worry about an additional tip which I thought was very thoughtful considering I had paid $140 already. Places like this should be applauded for their excellent customer service, and making it right! The only reason why this happened was because the UV light wasn't left on as long as it should have, because they were super busy that day- rightfully so! I'm so glad they were one of the only places that were open for my last-minute need. Please give them a try, because they did an excellent job all around. I'll be back!! read more

He cut my pinky, kept burning my fingertips with the machines, and made my nails way too thick. My girlfriend and I had an appointment, we arrived early absolutely nobody acknowledged us for about 15 minutes. Once we were seated in the pedicure chairs nobody came over for 30 minutes. The bowls were empty as we sat there waiting for 30 minutes 45 minutes after our appointment time. Employees finally came over to start our pedicures we ended up being there 2 1/2 hours and leaving nauseous and sick. There was zero ventilation in that room. Everybody was moving extremely slow because they were slowly being poisoned by the chemicals and my girlfriend is still sick today. We did not get an apology for the length of time we waited. We did not receive a beverage. We did not receive a discount, zero customer service and on top of it we both ended up very sick. The health department needs to be called in because the employees were very lethargic and slow and I'm certain other customers were made very ill. If the cameras are pulled, you can see the chairs in the walkways not being moved. It's like people there are under a trance not moving at normal speed. Additionally, they tried to separate us for our manicures when we had appointments my friend said we wanted to be seated together, and they went on to argue with her about another customer who literally just walked in and they sat her between us and my friend said no move that person so overall very poor customer service no care concern for clients or employees. Almost 3 hours for a basic mani/pedi. No gel, no dip, basic. Something is definitely wrong at that place and people were definitely poisoned yesterday.
