Safe Blown open and all valuables stolen, personal documents damaged and ripped

Overall a horrible experience that cost us everything. The packers came and were very sketchy, asking my son multiple questions about our valuables when we weren't in the room, didn't write details about the inventoried items and refused to seal to crates when they were ready to leave. Fast forward to our arrival in Germany, the crates arrived with seals broken and when they were opened... every single one of our crates were robbed. Only half of the items we shipped arrived, most of those were damaged and nearly every single item in our "High Value Inventory" was stolen. We submitted a claim and the managing company SUDDATH said we couldn't prove we had the items because their inventory person was very broad and just wrote "Collectibles high value" or "Jewelry, high value". They offered us less than 5% of the total stolen or damaged items. The packers packed several high value items into our family safe that we use for important documents. The safe arrived blown-up and pieces of it were all over the place. all of our family documents were damaged and everything put in there was stolen. Suddath claimed they are not responsible for items put into the safe, even though their shipping agents put them in there. It has been a year and we still have not gotten a single apology or acknowledgement from SUDDATH or their packers "FOUNTAIN MOVING & STORAGE."

Regarding the Goods Themselves: Many items: some high value and sentimental included on the claim, were not received by us (such as my great great grandmother's antique bed and windchimes from her funeral) Many items were not inventoried which we did receive. We also received items that were not ours and sent those back on the truck. The unpackers can attest to the lack of inventory and missing items. All items with a yellow tag were not inventoried and were items I had to call Planes Movers to come back and pick up after the initial packing date. All yellow stickers were put on after the orange and blue original stickers and therefore not inventoried or scanned. Almost all boxes were labeled incorrectly and didn't contain any of the content notated (when a notation was even made). On the inventory Items such as "Refrigerator, Stove, Dressers...and more) were recorded as having come from the living room or garage... Additionally, 48 boxes and crates were packed with no padding or wrapping: meticulously sorted and organized content of drawers, cabinets, vanities, toolboxes etc. were unceremoniously dumped into the boxes...This included opened items of liquid food such as oil, vinegar, syrup etc., chemicals (Ammonia and bleach were packed together), and beauty products. Despite having labeled items not to be packed with a yellow post-it sticker, they were packed.  Including all the prescription medication, OTC, the purse I was using with my ID and Debit Card etc.   (Things you said not to pack anyway so why did they touch it) The Furniture was not covered, wrapped, padded, or in any way protected...point blank none. Items were stacked directly on top of and in contact with other items accounting for most of the damage which is chipping, scraping, rubbing, dried out and cracked from being stored in a high heat environment, and separation of joints.  Some items were obviously improperly handled as tops and sides were separated or completely off. There was extensive damage to our almost brand-new range and some to our also almost new refrigerator - the full reimbursement was denied as Suddath deemed these useable. However, it is the expectation that no damage will come to these items, and I would have returned them to the store if they were received in this condition or they were damaged in this manner during the installation. This is why full reimbursement was requested. Regarding the Moving Services: The movers were late during the departure by at least 2 hours...including both packing and loading days, incredibly slow, and did not know how to pack or label as expected by a professional moving company. We had to have them repack a few boxes we opened as they were very poorly packed. These were discovered when looking for my purse; the one I was using, which they had packed. This was not located, and I had no debit, credit, DL, or military ID for nearly 3 weeks. We did not check additional boxes but upon opening at least 48 of them upon arrival at our destination address they were packed in the same manner, including the boxes I asked to be repacked. The packers did not properly label almost any boxes. They were misidentified as to contents and room. Many items on the "No Pack" list were packed and leaked. We had to have Planes return to our home the next day as they forgot several items that were to be included in the move. The destination movers (Gulf Moving) held our items 2 full weeks after we were notified by the government they had arrived at the destination. (Proof available) The movers on the destination end didn't show up on our designated day and blamed Suddath for not releasing the paperwork, which was a blatant lie, as the emails Suddath sent were staring everyone in the face. The destination moving company "no-showed" on the agreed upon date of delivery. To add to this unprofessional behavior, it is documented that we had continuous contact with the company, beginning with an email from them with the delivery date and many times between the no show and receipt of our goods.  Again, the company representatives who spoke to Suddath denied they had any contact with us despite our retention of the emails, voice mails, and phone log. Even after the company showed up, they were unprofessional and unorganized (the management, not the direct workers), understaffed, and didn't know we had at least two trucks (probably a third) or the total weight of our goods...stating their paperwork showed 1 truck and only 4500 pounds...again a lie because Suddath had the originating emails and paperwork they received. Upon delivery (which they were 3 hours late because they were loading the truck) they showed up with one (rented Penske) truck and thought that was it.  They came back after about 3 hours with the second truck and 1 person to unload it all. Later the workers from the morning showed up voluntarily to help this person. (Which is why I rate the workers at least as good)

Suddath's handy work.

This is the absolute worst moving company that I have ever used. I am a 20-year military service member and have had to move over a dozen times and have only had minor damages to my HHGs. I've been lucky, but my luck ran out when Suddath was assigned as my moving company. These so-called "professional movers" managed to break my 2,800-dollar TV that traveled from Hawaii to Jacksonville in its original packaging. All they had to do is install a base and place it on an entertainment center and they managed to mess that up. I get it the movers make mistakes and things happen but there is no excuse for their military claims department. They finally responded to our claim 59 days after we reported the TV. The first offer was an absolute slap in the face. They offered me 1200 dollars and suggested that I replace my TV with another model of TV that was at least 4 levels below the quality of the one their team broke. I sent them a rebuttal with all receipts, pictures, and information on the TV and info from Samsung on their suggested equivalent replacements for the TV. Almost 40 days later I finally got an actual offer. They found the exact TV through some Amazon third party that I never heard of. I looked up the reviews for the seller and all of the actual reviews said that customers either did not receive their TVs at all or there were major issues upon delivery and that their customer service is nonexistent. I expressed my concerns with Suddath and they basically told me that I was wrong and that my concerns were not valid. I wasted 3 months trying to settle my claim with Suddath and ultimately had to transfer my claim elsewhere. AVOID USING SUDDATH! Their movers are terrible and the claims department is even worse at their jobs.

I used this company a couple of days ago wiith excellent results. It was a difficult move from a 4…read morestory townhouse, two stops and a 2 story final destination. The guys were very professional and polite. They never complained about the difficulty of the job and the extreme heat in Jacksonville. They worked hard the entire 9 hour job! I would highly recommend this company and will use their services in the future.

I am writing this as a public service announcement: Do not hire New Chapters Moving Company. What…read morestarted as a $579 quote turned into a $1,200+ disaster that left my belongings broken, my apartment half-empty, and my storage unit a dangerous mess. 1. Property Damage & Negligence The most devastating part of this move was the complete disregard for my electronics. I provided professional TV boxes with foam corners; instead, they shoved my TVs into two-piece boxes with the screens exposed. Now, both TVs are ruined. One screen is visibly shattered, and neither unit will even power on. They took "professional" equipment and treated it like trash. 2. Price Gouging & Bait-and-Switch This company practices predatory pricing. I was quoted $579. Once they had my items on their truck overnight, the owner demanded $1,260. I felt completely extorted. He offered a measly 10% "discount" when I complained, but the final price was still double the estimate for a job that wasn't even finished. 3. Chronic Unprofessionalism The movers arrived 1.5 hours late and spent the first 30 minutes on the phone with their boss. Despite having a reserved freight elevator and a storage unit only 4 miles away, they moved at a snail's pace. They went "radio silent" for over an hour while I waited for them at the storage facility, later claiming their phones "died." 4. Incomplete Work & Reckless Packing * Abandoned Items: They left numerous boxed-up items sitting right by my apartment door, forcing me to deal with the move myself after paying them over $1,100. * Storage Disaster: They packed my unit so poorly that I can only open the door six inches before items begin falling out. Sentimental items were crushed and broken because they lacked basic stacking skills. 5. Zero Accountability When I sent the owner photos of the damage, he spent 30 minutes on the phone defending his "professionalism" rather than offering a refund for the damaged TVs or the unfinished work. He is a smooth talker who takes no responsibility for his crew's incompetence. I had to hire another company to fix the mess he made. Save your money and your sanity. This company is dishonest, overpriced, and will break your expensive belongings.

Normally this is something my wife and I would just handle, and maybe recruit some friends...but she was 8 month pregnant at the time and I wouldn't let her pick up anything heavy. So we turned to a moving company. After reading through review for several companies, and excluding ones that weren't available on the upcoming weekend we landed on Jaguar movers, and I'm super happy with our choice. The initial communication with them was very professionally, they gave us all the details we needed, and followed up with any questions we had. On the day of the move both Cory and Waymon showed up a few minutes early, did a walk through of the house, and then got right to work. My wife and I had packed up most of the stuff already but they wrapped up anything that might get damaged in any way. At the new house they were patient while we pointed out where everything went, and were super careful putting things down on the hardwood floors. To top the entire experience off; a very small support piece from an Ikea piece got misplaced in the move and none of use could find it. We looked through the truck and I really feel like Cory and Waymon did a great job looking for it. Even though we couldn't find it, it must have been in the truck somewhere because the next day they drove back to our new house to return it! Overall I was highly impressed with both Cory and Waymon, and Jaguar Movers as a whole, and would recommend them to anyone else looking to move.

I scheduled Jaguar Moving to move some brand-new, boxed appliances. The movers picked up the…read moreappliances and met us at the drop-off site. When they were unloading the truck, they mentioned that they did not have the proper dollies to move the heavy appliances. We were never told that or given the option to stop the move before it started. They proceeded to attempt to move one of the appliances. It fell crashing to the ground from the truck. The movers would not write the damage on an invoice. I was asked to pay for the move, and instructed the agent that I did not authorize the charge but wanted to speak to a supervisor. The agent said he would have a supervisor call me. Instead, they charged the card 10 minutes later, and no one called. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT WORK WITH THIS SHADY COMPANY!
