They advertised on Facebook and looked like a full service yard company. I signed a contract to have my yard fertilizer, pest, and weed control done by their lawn certified technician. I stipulated that I wanted a summary and action report after each visit. I paid my first month and about 3 or 4 week later called to see when treatment would begin. They said they had fertilized the yard about 5 days earlier. I had been working in my front yard most of that day and I had seen nobody. I was told they had time and GPS data to show the technician had been at the address. There was no offer to check witht he tech or to fix the issue. Just a surly reply that their GPS data showed it had been done. I said I was unhappy and there was no reply so I hung up. I have a doorbell and front driveway cameras. I checked them for that day and I did not see anyone but me and my dogs after 8am. They then wrote a letter stating they had serviced the wrong house but did not offer to make up the missed service. I replied to the email the next email I got was they terminated the contract. Summary: Grounds Guys did not do the work they told me they did. They did not offer to make it right. They unilaterally cancelled the contract. I should have done some research as there are many negative reviews on this non-local company.

Chase came out early in the morning after Helene to see how I was. They got a tarp on my roof that afternoon, which saved me from Milton. I signed up with them and they got to the job in a little over 2 weeks. There were some miscommunications with the crews, but Chase was diligent and got everything worked out. They actually came out on a Saturday to finish the job! Chase even assured me he'd come back out to check on things and even go up himself if a couple of tar spots don't wash off in the rain. The 2/3 day job may have taken 5 days, but J&M truly does care about their customers and my new roof is beautiful! I would highly recommend J&M Roofing.

These days in Florida, you almost always have to lawyer up before they'll pay a claim, and then the amount they offered was a joke, like for a small repair...my whole roof needed replacing so we settled on an amount that only cost me $1050 out of pocket. 500 of which was my deductible. The claim was filed back in 2022 before Florida changed their laws, which favors the insurance companies more and screws the consumer. I had to pay $116 for some wood damage, but that was reasonable, in my opinion. Once we got a date for the work to start, they were on time, delivering the dumpster the day before, and hauling it away the day the job was completed, which was only two-day job. Jay Geuder was the contact with whom I dealt with, and he was pleasant to deal with and explained the process, helped with picking the color, etc., and followed up after the job was completed. Blake also followed up the day of, but I was not home from work yet so I couldn't really provide any info about the completion. So, from my experience, they've been a good company to deal with.
