Recently, I hired Quick Moves of Florida to move my household belongings. Prior to signing them up, I asked around and was surprised at the number of people who were so displeased with the movers they had used. Needless to say, this feedback worried me. I looked them up on YELP and saw that the comments were all good. I spoke to Michelle in the office and liked her explanation and decided to hire them. Move day was January 30th. They were scheduled to be at my door between 9-9:30am. At 8:30, I got a call from the lead guy, Joe, who said that they would be a little late. The two movers and their truck rolled up to my driveway at 10am. Joe Stingone introduced himself and his partner and we discussed what was about to happen. Then they got to work. They loaded my packed boxes and furniture. Both of them - Joe and Jonathan - were very nice and respectful. They were talkative and asking me relevant questions such as what stays and what goes. They used blankets to wrap most of the furniture (dressers, bookcases and some tables) so they would not get damaged in the move. They handled fragile items with care. I was amidst the whole time but not in their way nor micro-managing their work. The job was quick and efficient and finished earlier than I expected. Their fees are reasonable and not outlandish. I saw them do really good work - the best that I had seen to date. I highly recommend Quick Moves of Florida.

They don't pack the furniture very well, so they damaged most of my furniture's and broke my bone China's. 5. They didn't cover the rugs at all, so they get so dirty. 6. They used a tape on all my stuff for packing, hard to clean them from the surface of furniture. 7. They used my toilet rugs to pack my gym stuff! UNBELEIVABLE!!! 8. They packed all the pictures frame without right protection, so everything is so damaged, Same as the pots and kitchen stuff are dumped in the box. That is, it. First of all, while other companies replied back through Yelp, Scott was the first one to be like, "We need to talk IRL." So he called and we discussed my needs and what services he had to offer. He sent over his insurance information and a questionnaire to be completed so that he could write out the contract. I received an electronic copy of the contract prior to the arrival of the movers and a paper copy was made available for me to sign upon their arrival. Did I mention that this was all within a few hours of closing? Did I mention that this was for a next day move? This man is an organized machine, I tell you. Following the move, he sent the electronic receipt for payment and I was able to submit an electronic payment (with a small convenience fee tacked on) after the movers left. The two guys showed up EARLIER than expected (I know, right? That NEVER happens!) and immediately got to work wrapping and moving furniture as I finished packing (yes, because I'm a lazy slacker). They moved the furniture, delivering everything as best they could. There were only a few minor cosmetic issues with a few items delivered. Overall, they did a phenomenal job with what they were given to work with. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a reputable company that does business in an organized and professional manner.

Property Damage & Negligence The most devastating part of this move was the complete disregard for my electronics. I provided professional TV boxes with foam corners; instead, they shoved my TVs into two-piece boxes with the screens exposed. Now, both TVs are ruined. One screen is visibly shattered, and neither unit will even power on. They took "professional" equipment and treated it like trash. 2. Price Gouging & Bait-and-Switch This company practices predatory pricing. I was quoted $579. Once they had my items on their truck overnight, the owner demanded $1,260. I felt completely extorted. He offered a measly 10% "discount" when I complained, but the final price was still double the estimate for a job that wasn't even finished. 3. Chronic Unprofessionalism The movers arrived 1.5 hours late and spent the first 30 minutes on the phone with their boss. Despite having a reserved freight elevator and a storage unit only 4 miles away, they moved at a snail's pace. They went "radio silent" for over an hour while I waited for them at the storage facility, later claiming their phones "died." 4. Incomplete Work & Reckless Packing * Abandoned Items: They left numerous boxed-up items sitting right by my apartment door, forcing me to deal with the move myself after paying them over $1,100. * Storage Disaster: They packed my unit so poorly that I can only open the door six inches before items begin falling out. The night before the move, I received a text on Yelp confirming the move, but telling me the move would not happen until the afternoon. I was disappointed, but was fortunate to find another mover. I moved across the country at the beginning of the year with a larger moving company and had them store my belongings in my daughter's garage until my new home was done being built. In early May, I contacted Al, the owner of ATI Movers, to set them up to re-load my items from my daughter's garage and bring them to my home 0.7 miles away. There would be no packing boxes, just loading, transporting, and unloading, as well as reassembling my bed and office desk. In early September, I contacted Al with the move date of 9/30, with the possibility this date could change. I then paid the deposit with a CC in order to be put on the calendar. As another reviewer mentioned, Al passes the CC fees onto the customer...not a huge deal breaker for some, but that should be part of running a business - take on these fees as they are tax deductible for him as the business owner! On 9/13, I contacted Al to change my move date to one week earlier...I was now closing on 9/22 and asked for a 9/23 move date, but he said his first availability was 9/24 and that the men would arrive to begin work at 10am. Al contacted me early morning on 9/23 to let me know he might have to push my move to the afternoon and the new start time would "most likely be 12-2pm" and he would update me in the morning. Later that afternoon, he said there was still a chance it would be in the morning, 10-10:30, but if the afternoon, it would be 1-2pm and he would let me know in the moring. Since he might have to move my job to the afternoon, I figured that the job he had that day looked like it might take longer than originally planned and he would have to finish it up in the morning. On the day of the move, around 9:25am, he told me the move would have to be in the afternoon and I asked if he would let me know 45-60 min before the crew were to arrive so I could make sure I was there to meet them. At 1:20pm, asked him if he could still make it by 2pm and 10 minutes later, he said they were "still working on first job". Received a text at 2:25pm that the men were on the way. The men called me to let me know they would be able to arrive in about an hour. Work began at 3:45pm. Shortly after the men began working, I told them about the reassembly of 2 of my items and they said they weren't told they would be reassembling anything, so they had no tools with them. Al's solution was that we could stop by a Walmart on the way to my house so the men could buy some tools. 1) I told him in our very first conversation about the reassembly, so obviously not good record keeping if you don't pass that info to your men; 2) I told Al there was no Walmart along the way as we weren't even leaving the community from my daughter's house to mine; and 3) that would have added at least an hour of time in the day and we already had such a late start! The men who moved my belongings worked at a good pace from start to finish and were careful bringing items into the home and placing them into the designated rooms. Unfortunately, they did bump and damage the edge of my front door when bringing a large, tight-fitting item through the door. The damage is pretty much hidden behind the weather stripping when closed, but it is still some damage to my new-build home. The job took 4 hours, which I expected, but also figured that would include reassembly. When the movers called Al so I could use my CC to pay for the final move, and when I discussed the fact that they were unable to reassemble my 2 items and that they were quite late in starting the job, Al said he was giving me a good price (he stuck to his original quote, even though he said his prices had gone up since I first contacted him) and that he had no margin for a reduction. Again, not great business practice. When the men left, one of them told me he had asked Al if they should come do my job first at 10am, and they were told no, they needed to go do another job first. He was shocked when I told him I had set my move date and time with Al more than a week prior! Guess Al forgot to tell me that when he schedules a move, it's flexible to allow others to "jump in front" of previously-scheduled customers.
