This was my second visit to CubeSmart in a week. The first time wasn't as fruitful as I had hoped. The first time I showed up at CubeSmart was to transfer a storage unit over to me. It didn't pan out the first time, because I was missing some key pieces of info, but Tenia and (sorry, I can't remember the other associate) another CubeSmart associate got me set up in the system, so when everything was transferred over properly, I'd be good to go. The main office section of CubeSmart is clean. They even have a coffee maker at the front of the store, so if you're in need of caffeine, you can get some prior to going to your storage unit. The second visit was much better. I entered through the main office, saw Tenia, and she quickly answered my questions and even personally showed me where the storage unit was located. All-in-all this was a pleasant experience, but the CubeSmart associates pulled out all the customer service stops. Thanks! read more

Don't get sucked in by this place. They offer a 25% discount initially and then about every 3 months they raise the rent until you're paying pretty much double of what you started out with. They don't have long term rentals so you're stuck paying more or trying to downsize to a smaller unit. Eventually you're forced to go somewhere else. They maintain the place but the manager or other staff is often gone, since there's often just one person working. They close whenever they're showing a unit, for lunch , They are closed on Sunday.So frustrating!!!! The only helpful person was Joy. read more

I've got to give credit where credit is due. The folks at CubeSmart were timely, professional and courteous during the move-in process! Transferring storage units was such a daunting task that I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. I showed up to CubeSmart with sweat dripping down my back, slightly delusional, and longing for caffeinated relief. There were two employees at the front desk, and the female attendant was friendly as can be. She walked me through the entire paperwork process, [literally] walked me up to my unit, and took it a step further by propping one of the doors open for me. Well done! The only reason for not slapping a 5 star review right off the bat is mostly because of pricing. Even with a 10% discount when signing up, I'm roughly paying 15% more per month than I was at my previous storage facility. Of course, the place is indoors with functioning A/C - worth the nod in Florida, after all! They had a Keurig in the front office, which will always score points in my book. I pay hundreds of dollars a month for storage. At 5:45 on a Sunday evening the office is closed and neither elevators work. No access to my unit on the 2nd floor which has records I need for Monday morning. Totally unacceptable. read more

Despite the interior with its never-ending, winding corridors and motion-activated lighting making you feel like you're in the dramatic opening minutes of a horror movie, CubeSmart is actually very convenient and useful. Our company rented a couple of storage units for a few months while we opened up a new location and had to shuffle around furniture, so hugely benefited from being able to access additional storage space. Once the dust settled on our new location and we gave notice of the termination of our contract, both the agent in the USA-based Customer Service Call Center and the Site Manager were polite, professional, charming and helpful in concluding things. We would absolutely use again as their price point is good, the convenience is great and the staff are superb. read more

I love my smaller townhome, but storage can be an issue! With tons of boxes of schwag piling up almost to the ceiling, it was time to finally get a storage unit. With a quick search and a nice incentive on their Yelp page, we packed up the car and took the short drive down Park Street to CubeSmart. The location scared me a bit... there are a few homeless folks that post up in the area, but the inside was immaculate. I sat down with the rep and told her about the deal I saw on Yelp. Well, that was a bit confusing.... it seemed I was looking at the wrong listing, but the gal ended up showing me a unit for the deal. 15% off monthly and first month free. It was just enough space for what I needed and I didn't feel like driving anywhere else, so sold. The interaction with this particular rep was a little awkward... she made it very clear "this was not her usual store" several times, as she looked around for forms and what not. I would ask a question and the answer was basically, "hold on my computer is slow." Ugh. Just very weird. Interesting note here.... they do require insurance for the unit and offer the min. for $12.99 monthly, so plan on adding that into your cost. And there is a $22 admin fee to get set up... I wasn't really expecting that, but may be the norm? The unit I had before was locally owned and required none of this... but whatever. After about 30 minutes, everything was set up. I do like that they will accept packages for you and put them in your unit if you leave them a key. That is super handy! And you can pay on line, so convenience won over the strange set up conversation. The building is super clean, secure and close. Great access hours too. I will definitely take note of further employee interactions so maybe I can bump this up to a 4 star. read more

Want to pay people to store your things and additionally pay them more to have it mandatorily insured so if its stolen they're covered? THEN CUBESMART IS YOUR PEOPLE! In all seriousness, this is one of the better options. Merchant delivery, very much secure with alarms, climate controlled storage units. The staff is hit or miss on being helpful but then again is customer service truly important with a place like this, probalby not. A great plus side has been that its easy to get in and get out to ones storage unit. Its never busy, so there is a privacy aspect. You won't run into any Walter White here, is this a pro or con, you decide. read more

You can tell CubeSmart has a monopoly in Riverside. The prices are mindblowingly through the roof. $107 for 5x5...Plus Insurance and taxes. Same company in a different part of town with the same size unit with competitor near by, $40. read more

Very nice staff and facility. Clean and secure with easy access day and night. There are lots of hidden charges....I never really understand an "administrative Fee" which seems like it's your business not mine. But one of those things that no one can explain but if you don't pay you don't rent. Bring your home owners insurance and you can save some money. read more
