I gave this review 2 stars instead of 1 because the men who moved me were courteous, professional, and worked nonstop to get the job done in a timely fashion. I moved across the country at the beginning of the year with a larger moving company and had them store my belongings in my daughter's garage until my new home was done being built. In early May, I contacted Al, the owner of ATI Movers, to set them up to re-load my items from my daughter's garage and bring them to my home 0.7 miles away. There would be no packing boxes, just loading, transporting, and unloading, as well as reassembling my bed and office desk. In early September, I contacted Al with the move date of 9/30, with the possibility this date could change. I then paid the deposit with a CC in order to be put on the calendar. As another reviewer mentioned, Al passes the CC fees onto the customer...not a huge deal breaker for some, but that should be part of running a business - take on these fees as they are tax deductible for him as the business owner! On 9/13, I contacted Al to change my move date to one week earlier...I was now closing on 9/22 and asked for a 9/23 move date, but he said his first availability was 9/24 and that the men would arrive to begin work at 10am. Al contacted me early morning on 9/23 to let me know he might have to push my move to the afternoon and the new start time would "most likely be 12-2pm" and he would update me in the morning. Later that afternoon, he said there was still a chance it would be in the morning, 10-10:30, but if the afternoon, it would be 1-2pm and he would let me know in the moring. Since he might have to move my job to the afternoon, I figured that the job he had that day looked like it might take longer than originally planned and he would have to finish it up in the morning. On the day of the move, around 9:25am, he told me the move would have to be in the afternoon and I asked if he would let me know 45-60 min before the crew were to arrive so I could make sure I was there to meet them. At 1:20pm, asked him if he could still make it by 2pm and 10 minutes later, he said they were "still working on first job". Received a text at 2:25pm that the men were on the way. The men called me to let me know they would be able to arrive in about an hour. Work began at 3:45pm. Shortly after the men began working, I told them about the reassembly of 2 of my items and they said they weren't told they would be reassembling anything, so they had no tools with them. Al's solution was that we could stop by a Walmart on the way to my house so the men could buy some tools. 1) I told him in our very first conversation about the reassembly, so obviously not good record keeping if you don't pass that info to your men; 2) I told Al there was no Walmart along the way as we weren't even leaving the community from my daughter's house to mine; and 3) that would have added at least an hour of time in the day and we already had such a late start! The men who moved my belongings worked at a good pace from start to finish and were careful bringing items into the home and placing them into the designated rooms. Unfortunately, they did bump and damage the edge of my front door when bringing a large, tight-fitting item through the door. The damage is pretty much hidden behind the weather stripping when closed, but it is still some damage to my new-build home. The job took 4 hours, which I expected, but also figured that would include reassembly. When the movers called Al so I could use my CC to pay for the final move, and when I discussed the fact that they were unable to reassemble my 2 items and that they were quite late in starting the job, Al said he was giving me a good price (he stuck to his original quote, even though he said his prices had gone up since I first contacted him) and that he had no margin for a reduction. Again, not great business practice. When the men left, one of them told me he had asked Al if they should come do my job first at 10am, and they were told no, they needed to go do another job first. He was shocked when I told him I had set my move date and time with Al more than a week prior! Guess Al forgot to tell me that when he schedules a move, it's flexible to allow others to "jump in front" of previously-scheduled customers. read more

I made an appointment to move on a certain date at a certain time, because I needed to move in the morning. I had made arrangements for the apartment to be cleaned in the afternoon and I had to vacate that day. I received so many texts from the owner confirming the move. The night before the move, I received a text on Yelp confirming the move, but telling me the move would not happen until the afternoon. I was disappointed, but was fortunate to find another mover. Showed up late, slow, not careful with furniture or walls. Actually dropped a desk off the truck. Workers were sitting in truck waiting for something?? for at least 20-30 minutes after loading truck. Said he didn't know I was on a time crunch. Umm, yes, when I'm paying by the hour! When I called owner he said that wasn't true. He also said I had unrealistic expectations and that what I was saying was "bullshit". Nice customer service, huh? The job eventually got done, although some items were left behind for some reason. Wish I could rate them a zero. Charged me $404 dollars to load stuff from my storage unit and dump it in the living room of my new house. Broke several glass items. Stayed on the clock while they had to switch out drivers because the driver they sent couldn't get base clearance even though I told the person that booked the reservation that we would be going on base. The majority of my items were coded to which room they go in and none of that happened. After they left I had to move all of the things they left in the living room to bedrooms. Should have saved some money and just rented a Uhaul. Check out Busy Bee movers - we used them for unloading our truck of furniture after the terrible experience with ATI and they were awesome and less than half the price. read more

Seemed like decent guys who showed up to move my furniture. I only needed about a dozen pieces of antique furniture and some boxes moved. They didn't use blankets to protect anything while they were moving furniture on a dolly and pretty much seemed to care less about how they handled my furniture. They ended up destroying an antique secretary bookcase (didn't secure it inside the truck) and putting a very noticeable scuff mark (where they dragged the corner on the ground) on an expensive leather sofa. In response to their carelessness and negligence this is the email I received. "Unfortunately our contract states our limitations on our services when it comes to damages. (By Signing Below, I accept ATI Movers, LLC's price and give permission to move my goods. If I could give a 0 I would. TIP: be sure to read the reviews- even those that aren't recommended by Yelp. I now see that this company has a pattern of bad business practices!!!! Wish I had done this before my experience! Today, this company was scheduled to move me, starting from 9:30am. At 9:30am, the movers called to tell me that, due to traffic, they were going to be another 20-30 minutes before arrival. Being downtown, parking spaces fill up quickly, and by the time they arrived, all that was left was the bus loading zone and a freight zone behind the building. The movers told me that they could not park there, and asked me to call their boss and ask if they could park in the loading zone. I called the number provided and I tried to discuss this with the man on the phone. The management of my building had offered the freight zone, but I could not even have the conversation with this man. WOW. I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. This man talked over me and was so unprofessional and rude! All I needed was his go-ahead to have the movers park, but instead, he berated me for mentioning the late start, telling me that, "it is not a dentist appointment" and that it was "the driver's decision" not to park in the loading area. I never really got a chance to say much after I mentioned the late start, other than to try to get a "Yes" or "No" to the freight zone for parking. This guy was on a roll, and harangued me with "look at your contract, please," and even though we both agreed that it said 9:30, he seemed stuck on the fact that there were no parking spaces left for his movers 30 minutes after the contracted start time. This became the sticking point in his side of the conversation, instead of solving the issue. I stood on the sidewalk, all my items packed up, getting screamed at by someone who was supposed to be helping to find a solution and providing a simple "Yes" or "No" to his movers to get started. Instead, he lectured me on being prepared and understanding that 9:30-11:30 was the estimated time of arrival for the movers. All we needed was the go-ahead to park in the loading zone. WOW. I could see that I was not going to get an actual answer, and he was more interested in yelling at me about the contested 9:30 start time. As I informed this gentlemen, his behavior on the phone was NOT professional, but even worse, NOT helpful in solving the problem at-hand. He even argued with me that he was not unprofessional. And furthermore, that he was not rude. Jeez. Needless to say this company is NOT moving me today, and I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone in the future. Moving is not an easy process, and things can go awry. But, when problems do occur, yelling at the customer is absolutely the worst way to go about your business. Despite the set-back, I am thankful that I did not end up moving with ATI. If they treat their customers that poorly prior to even touching their stuff, I can't imagine anything else going amiss! I called another company, who had a lovely young lady that listened to me sob on the phone about what had just happened. She was so kind and helpful, and they managed to fit me in today. Within 30 minutes of this disaster, they have already showed up, and I'm writing this as I watch them using the loading zone to move my things. Looking forward to writing their review. (long story short) I had this company help me move last week. They insisted they take my TV in the truck, though I was unsure and wanted to take it in my car. I conceded. After arriving to the new house, everything seemed alright; however, a couple days later, I turned on the TV and it had a huge crack in the screen, rendering it useless. It would be 1200 to replace, money I just don't have right now. The owner has made it clear--after going back and forth with him for a few days--that he will do absolutely nothing to help replace it. Use these movers! I recently used ATI and had the pleasure of working with Brandon and Dennis. These 2 guys worked their behinds off. The move was quick, no wasted time, no complaining and the both had the best manners ever. The best part was at the end, I couldn't fit a couch and had no where to leave it and they graciously offered to haul it to a different location knowing they were exhausted and ready for the day to be over. Lastly the price is on point! They didn't charge extra for my truck being too far away and didn't charge for a second floor. The worst!! Do NOT hire them!! Do yourself a favor and skip these guys! ATI Moving were absolutely the worst movers I have ever had!! They were rude to me, and scratched up nearly every piece of wooden furniture I own! I had an easy in-town 15 minute move, 3 bedrooms, living room and office, and you would think my things were shipped from coast to coast on bumpy roads, they looked so bad. Al on the phone seemed so knowledgeable, but the guys who came out were inexperienced, took WAY too long to move only furniture and a few boxes. I hired ATI to help make a move from a storage location (2nd floor) to my new apartment. Half of the storage was my college son's stuff and half mine. The movers showed up 30 mins late and immediately complained that there was no elevator. I let them know that there was an elevator, but it took several minutes to walk from my storage location. After showing them the 10x20 storage they complained that there was too much stuff and it was poorly packed. That is true, my son threw his stuff in there. I let them know we weren't going to move it. From that point on they continued complaining to me and to each other without stopping. They moved about 20 boxes, before calling me in again where they were literally yelling at me about the condition. I again informed them, that we weren't moving my son's stuff, just mine which was in boxes. After they continued to cry I asked them to "stop (expletive) whining" and asked if they wanted the job. They said no, unloaded my truck on the road and drove away. To respond to ATIs response - I couldn't agree more with you! Moving heavy objects down a single flight of wide stairs can be dangerous, which is why I would recommend they consider professionals. read more

Positives: the guys, Ryan and Quon, were waiting for us when we arrived at our first destination. Nice guys. Moved all we needed. Negatives: used the lift on the truck for each hand truck of boxes. It made sense for the heavier items. Using it for all of the many not-very-heavy boxes instead of a ramp was a time waster. Once I asked them to use the ramp, the move actually started moving at speed. Furniture I specifically identified as fragile or important were put on the truck without being covered or protected with one of the many blankets they had on hand. And, of course, two large pieces of that special furniture were damaged when other items had, unbeknownst to me, been stowed onto its bare wood. We knew having movers would mean we wouldn't have to do the heavy lifting, but we also thought it might take a little less time than if we did it ourselves. Not really. What we thought would be a 4 1/2 - 5 hour job ended up taking 7+. If you want to hire nice guys, these are the ones to call. If you want nice guys who move your things carefully, efficiently, and expediently -- not so much. It was really bad. I attempted to use this company to move from a rental to a house I purchased approx .5 miles away. They showed up 1 HOUR LATE, they were UNABLE TO MOVE MORE THAN 150 LBS PER 2 MOVERS, they were unable to disassemble the headboard on a bed, THEY DID NOT HAVE TOOLS TO TAKE APART A HEADBOARD and attempted unsuccessfully with my tools. THE OWNER DID NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS OR TEXTS (attempted 4 times) during this scheduled time slot. The other issue is that they did not make eye contact with me and treated me as if my move was not important. I was very happy with the service of our move yesterday. The boys were prompt, kind and fast. I felt very safe with these movers and would recommend them to anyone moving. Plus their rates are fantastic. My only concern and reason for the 4 star instead of 5 star is that they did not wrap our furniture with cloth until they brought it to the truck. Because our bedroom furniture has fragile beveled edges, I was particularly worried about this. Sure enough, the furniture was damaged. However, I must say - we have moved this furniture 4 times and 3 out of 4 times the beveled edges have been damaged. The only time they were not was when we moved it ourselves. read more

After numerous reschedules they finally arrived to move me on the day I had to be out of my apartment. After a 30 second walk through they tell me my furniture is too heavy for them and I needed to request a three man crew. Mind you they never touched a thing so they couldnt have known the weight of anything. My 150lb girlfriend and myself moved out on our own. As we had to be out that day. With zero issues with the "weight" of the furniture. Its apparent they just didn't want to deal with 1 flight of stairs. Attempts to call the owner to request a new crew were not returned. I used this company to move when I bought my home a couple years ago . I have used Moving Service a few times in the past and never had a good experience. Needless to say I was worried but I didn't have any other options other than hire a moving service. I think I originally found them on Craigslist. I read the reviews on this company and they seemed pretty good so I took a chance. I was thoroughly impressed! They were very professional, courteous and did a great job. The crew I had consisted of three younger guys. They used their time wisely and worked efficiently to get the job done. I scheduled ATI over a month in advance to my move and thought everything was looking good until they didn't show up on my move date. I called and they said they didn't even have me on the schedule. I forwarded him my confirmation emails proving that I was supposed to have them come. He blamed it on ME and a "technical error" for not receiving one of my emails. I selected ATI Movers to move our furniture and heavy items from storage units in Callahan to our just completed new home in Callahan. My choice was based on discussion with Al and a check of reviews and their pricing. The three guys arrived promptly at the appointment time, assessed the amount of our belongings and immediately began working. These guys worked the entire time, no slacking, no breaks, just work. Just under 2 hours later, they placed the last of our items in our house. These guys were courteous, professional and careful with our furniture. I wold definitely recommend this company. Not bad, but there are better options out there. They were fast and efficient, but didn't seem to take good care of our stuff. As my wife said, "they were just slamming stuff into the truck". That being said, there was relatively minimal damage, although our tool chest was banged up. They also pass on the credit card fees to you, so pay cash if you can. Buyer/Customer Beware - I will NEVER use this company again. The move started off okay; the movers were on time. He wrote the time on some paper but I didn't "see" the paperwork. They had me show them the rooms and/or items I was wanting them to move. After completing the walk through and beginning the move, the "lead" mover asks "will you bless me if I bless you?" already alluding to a tip at the end of the move. I mentioned at that point that I was moving into a brand new house and we would see as long as there was no damage to the walls and/or floors, etc. Again, still haven't seen or signed any paperwork. There were a couple of issues - they couldn't get the hoses off the spickets so they left them, they couldn't disassemble a bed or remove the last bolt from a bed that had already been pretty much disassembled by a teenager. My husband, who was leaving, had to come back and assist the mover(s) in removing the bolt/screw. They did point out issues with some of the furniture as it was being moved, all of which we were aware of - some issues with the finish on a bed, etc. It took approximately 3 hours for them to load the truck after breaks, phone calls, etc. At the drop off location, it appeared they were rushing. They failed to take apart a desk at the pick up location which I was surprised they were able to get out of the room in one piece. When trying to get it into the new location, they weren't as fortunate and damaged a wall, leaving the desk sitting in an area where it was not supposed to be for me to handle later. To make this portion short, all items were unloaded and a call was made to the boss to secure payment during which they ensured I was not talking in the background. Once through, I mentioned the wall again to the person who appeared to be the "lead" mover. He said he would take a picture of the damage (which he showed me), send it to his boss and his boss would contact me to come out and repair. Believing this was true, I tipped the movers and they left even leaving behind their trash - a large TV box that had been on the truck. Again I received no paperwork and had signed nothing. After them leaving, I noticed some damage on furniture which was not there before the move - knicked corners/sides on dressers, scratches on a table, etc. After a day or two of hearing nothing from the owner, Al, I texted him and asked him about the damage. He questioned me as to what damage and mentioned that no one had mentioned anything. He starts talking about a contract which I told him I never saw nor signed and I questioned why I had not received any paperwork. He disputed everything I said and kept talking about this contract which I told him on multiple times I never received, signed and/or it was never discussed with me. I asked to be sent a copy of this contract. He was very rude and lacked customer service. Not once did he apologize for the damage which was caused or offer to repair it as his worker indicated that he would. It took a couple of days and after my asking again about this "contract", I was finally sent a copy. And I hadn't signed it...someone else did. The owner began to ask me for my license when I told him I didn't sign that paperwork. I actually "sent" it but it didn't go through and realized that I am not responsible for proving the information (the truth) I gave to the owner. I told him I would be happy to bring my license to him as proof that I had not signed anything. Bottom line, the customer is always right (and in this case, I definitely am) and if you want good customer service and your property well taken care of, I definitely would not suggest this company. read more

If I could this company zero stars I would. They are completely UNRELIABLE and rude They were a NO SHOW yesterday for a small job that was booked by my 20 year old daughter via text on Friday morning, 6/1. They insist on texting as they don't answer their phone, and if you call them you get a text rely back that says "please text me". On 5/31,my daughter texted all the details of her move, including locations, saying she had 2 small rooms of furniture that needed to be moved to a local storage unit. This was a small job. She has a confirmation via text the following morning on 6/1 that they would arrive Sunday between 12-3, which included the price for the job. They even texted, "we will give you a call when we are on our way". When we reached out to them shortly after 3pm, their reply was, " you never booked us"! I have photographic proof of this text conversation and confirmation. They offered to provide service the next day but my daughter had to be out by midnight. I can only suspect that something bigger and more profitable came in for them later and they decided they could screw a young college student without repercussions. I told them I would be reporting them to the BBB, and give them negative reviews on google and yelp and they said I was threatening them. I asked them to make good on their confirmation as it was impossible to find someone else who could move her at 4 pm on a Sunday and they never answered. This job would have taken less than 2 hours. The reason we chose this company is because they say on Craig's list they have an A rating with the BBB. I should have checked Google reviews before I booked them because there are many negative reviews. This company does not take accountability for their mistakes as evidenced by the rude defensive replies to every comment with one star in Google reviews. Found this company via Yelp and scheduled to use them this past week. Reached out to someone at the office and they were very friendly and helpful. The crew called me the morning of to let me know that they were on their way. (I can appreciate that) They were happy to know that things were organized and no-hassle. We had to make two trips but it worked out since I was no more than two miles from the point of origin. If I could suggest one thing is to have them be extra careful with the furniture when they are loading and unloading. I noticed that there was a piece of wood chipped on our dresser. Nothing noticeable but nonetheless. Also despite the heat,I think they should keep their shirts on. Not to sound petty but It may be oblivious to the movers but their sweat is dripping and pressing against the furniture for leverage and they are attempting to squeeze through hallways and rooms and are brushing up against the walls which leaves a nasty stain. Moving is always a stressful time. Dealing with the owner of this company will guarantee you have an even more stressful experience. At first, ATI Movers seemed professional, sending conformation emails regarding my appointment, calling the night before to ensure a time the crew will arrive, I have a 1680 sq ft home which I clearly stated verbally as well as through email is a FULL 4 bedroom home with all the contents of such. 3 children's rooms, including bunk beds, a living room suite, a dining table, washing machine and dryer set, a push lawn mower with some yard equipment, children's bikes, etc. Al told me that this move would require a 2 man crew. I reiterated the fact that my home was a 4 bedroom with the furniture and belongings of one so he would be fully aware of the items that I would need moved. He again told me that unless the home was 2800 sq ft or a 2 story, he only sent out a 2 man crew. Seeing as I have very little experience with moving and movers, I trusted he knew what would be best. I couldn't have been more wrong. The 2 man crew Al the owner sent was not the problem. In fact CJ and Jessie were polite and nice young kids. They were hard workers who certainly earned their pay. When I noticed that my lampshades had been crushed, I planned to over look it. When I noticed dirt tracked in on my new carpet, I tried to clean it immediately but it was wet dirt pressed into the carpet from the dolly. When the movers told me that a bookcase had broken, I called Al to see what the policy as far as filing a claim for damages would entail, I was told to go ahead and let the movers finish, pay them, and he would see what he could do as far as any damage would go. I told Al that his two man crew had been working since 10am and that they told me it would be after midnight before they were finished. That seemed a little excessive of a time frame for a move that according to Al was just a regular move. At $70 an hour, you can imaging my concern when these 2 extremely tired movers did their best to push through but the hours kept passing. Al told me that he "wished he would have never taken my nightmare move on and that at this point he would accept no responsibility for any damages, he quoted a statue and told me that he didn't have to legally do anything to reimburse me for anything his company did wrong". I felt sick, horrible to have been spoken to in that manner. If a 4 bedroom home with the contents of a 4 bedroom home is too much for ATI Movers to handle, perhaps they should stick to one bedrooms and studios. If you make the mistake by hiring this company, be sure to ask for a minimum of 4 men. It was not fair to the workers who didn't finish until 3am that morning and it wasn't fair for the customer who could have easily paid more an hour for more men vs less an hour for a much, much longer time.
