Not only that, the workers are so so sweet, right when I walked in the worker held the door open for me, and gave me and my family a free sample of the custard, another worker complimented me and my mom and said she thought we were sisters. The food was good, But they did miss things like adding bacon and mayo on my burger, otherwise this place is very neat and friendly.

Vegan and gluten-free options are available. I was a customer of this business when they had a tent at Pittsburgh's Veg Fest. They offered pierogies in flavors of potato vegan cheese, potato smart bacon, potato jalapeno, potato broccoli, sweet potato, and spicy black bean. I purchased three pierogies in different flavors for $10 total. The employees promptly and politely served me. Honestly, I feel very surprised by these high ratings on Yelp. I am of mostly Eastern European descent and have eaten many, many pierogies in my lifetime, and I think that the pierogies from The Pierogi Palace are very doughy. Their dough is very thick compared to most other pierogi businesses' dough. The result is that the flavor of the dough overpowers the flavor of the filling. Here are my reviews for the fillings that I chose: Potato vegan cheese - 3 stars - I tasted just potato and no cheese. Potato smart bacon - ? stars - I received no pierogi that looked or tasted anything like bacon. Instead, I got a second pierogi that tasted like plain potato. Spicy black bean - 3.5 stars - This filling did taste like spicy black beans.

There is no seating inside. Swenson's staff are charming, quick (not abrupt) and unlike the big burger-vendors (ie Burger King); are well trained and polite. The server that I happened to come by, was exceptionally friendly and quick to step! The burger seen in photos was hot, fat and solid. The bread delicious. The cheese was melted nicely. Burgers are a good money value and are cooked to your order. The mushroom balls (photo) were delectable, and are not found often on menus. I enjoy them, as I pick mushrooms. Fresh made milk shakes at Swenson's are IN-sanely well made and I highly recommend them. Just thick enough to get through the straw. Perfect and lit-up classic road side attraction in all respects. Do not change a thing. Yum! Review: 5

Last few times we have ordered it, since they changed the fry recipe from normal to now soggy, flavorless fries (i think pea starch); everyone in my family got bad stomach pains. Like whole body cramping. We can't eat here anymore. I am sure it is now dosed in chemicals. Used to be delicious and didn't feel bad about serving it to kids; now it's definitely a huge skip for us. Had it tonight, never again. So much pain. Side of my stomach is aching, same with my husband. Happened last month after eating it, thought it was a fluke; but when it happens consistently after eating the same food at the same location, it is no coincidence. No more days of quality.

Fallyn, who greeted me at the counter, suggested the #3 with extra slaw and cheese on the fries, and it turned out to be exactly the right call. The staff struck that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering, and I couldn't help but notice how diligently they kept the space clean while I waited for my takeout. It's rare for a spot to live up to the hype, but this one absolutely does. I'll be making a point to return next time I'm in town.
