    Presentation is horrible.

So today was the first day in over three years to visit Chick Fil A. And I'm not impressed. And prob won't visit again for maybe three more years. I'll start out with the way the food is ordered. The have lines set up with people manning the line. That's kinda cool. Except one thing. Where is the menu board. I asked and he shows me a dirty ratty looking 8x11 laminated menu. It was way too small for my passenger to see it. I barely could see it. Why won't they use the menu board that is twenty feet away. Makes no sense. Total zero stars for the ordering process. Number two. The speed to get the food. My order was ready when I got to the window. Total hero's on this. Now let's go with the food itself. I ordered the spicy chicken meal. Which came with waffle fries and a soda. The soda was good and I don't expect it to be bad. But. The waffle fries were cold and rubbery. And the container wasn't even filled up. Please see my picture. The sandwich was a complete failure with presentation. See the picture. The bun wasn't on the chicken. The pickles were not on the chicken. I'm lucky that the chicken was even on the bottom bun. Presentation is a zero for me. The taste didn't make me happy that I spent my hard earned money here. And I wish I could've just gone across the street to Canes. The funny thing is. I flipped a coin to choose where I ate. I regret the flip of the coin. Because I know Canes is very good.

I'm not usually one to complain especially during a pandemic. The service here is good, the drive thru line looks intimidating but moves fast. My order was right but when I took my fries out of the bag they were barely half full. My sauces were also placed in the container so you couldn't really tell. I sent in a complaint to corporate but didn't hear back. Not worth the money, go to Cane's instead.

Chick-fil-A is always a solid go to favorite for fast food. lots of delicious options and I love the app. Great way to scan and get free food. If you are not using the app when you eat here you are being silly. You don't need to pre-load money like Other places and the free food always seems to add up quickly. I also purchased the calendar card annually and every month have something great today's item a free fruit cup and large beverage valued at over four dollars was more than half of the cost of the calendar and you get free items every month. It's a no brainer and honestly the calendars are always cute.

Anyway, I have had a desire to try Chick-Fil-A ever since I (silly me!) tried to go there on a Sunday and it was closed.

I ordered a Chicken Combo meal. CANIAC COMBO ($11.59) -- This is the 6-piece chicken finger combo that I ordered. My order unfortunately came with only 4 chicken fingers instead of 6 and I only realised this once I reached my friend Gabby's house so someone made a mistake when putting together my order. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a good picture of my whole chicken-finger meal before I started eating but I've attached a photo below. Besides chicken fingers, the caniac combo comes with a small container of coleslaw, garlic bread, fries, and two small special sauces. A 32 ounce soft drink of your choice is included as well. I got a large lemonade drink on the side which I shared with my friend because that would have been too much sugar for me to drink. MENU -- The whole menu at all Raising Canes is a 3, 4, or 6 piece chicken finger combo. They also have a kids combo (2 chicken fingers) and a sandwich combo (3 chicken fingers). The 3 chicken fingers combo does not come with coleslaw but the 4 chicken finger combo does include coleslaw on the side. PRO TIP -- If your get any of their combos without a soft drink (soda), your bill will be reduced. I actually got Raising Canes the very next day at the Lakewood location and ordered the 3-piece combo ($6.99) which comes with a 22-oz fountain drink. I did not order the drink and my bill was reduced by a dollar so I only paid $5.99. I tend not to order soda pop and instead opt for drinking water at home. FOOD RATING -- I've had Raising Canes plenty of times before. I first had it while I was a undergraduate University student in Columbus, Ohio. I've also been to their Strongsville and Lakewood locations here in Cleveland. The chicken fingers are good for a fast food joint but nothing beats chicken fingers from Upper Crust. The fries here could be crispier and firmer. The garlic bread is tasty. The special sauce is what Raising Canes is known for and I love it. I believe it is a type of mayonnaise mixture. SERVICE -- Great! If you have never tried Raising Canes before then I recommend it for a quick fast food option. **** - 15/200 total reviews in 2020 - 391 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 12 February 2020

Firstly, they have regular chicken wings and they also have vegan chicken wings for those that have dietary restrictions. They even have drinks that are gluten free as well and have the capabilities of removing gluten as well. The staff here is an All-Star team that made my experience feel wholeheartedly welcome and I belonged. This place has a lot of interesting people here as well that were great to chat with. Restrooms here are all so very clean and even the prices are pretty good for what they are. Google says they close at 10 o'clock it says when they close but they'll close whenever they feel like to be honest. I absolutely enjoy my time here especially since that they were playing Dexter's Laboratory on their big screen next door! I was not expecting that. They have a great selection of alcohol as well and a lot of alcohol I've never seen before. They have great deals after 9:00. I highly recommend checking this place out because I do believe it's a one-of-a-kind place. Sure you get wings at Buffalo Wild Wings or any other typical wing chain but this place takes it to a whole different level

The staff cooks and fries your food right in front of you, so you know the food comes out fresh and hot. And everything was delicious. The tasty onion rings had a thick, crispy batter, and the fries were great as well. But the star of my meal was, of course, the chicken. The wings and tenders were perfectly cooked. They were well-seasoned and glistening with juice on the inside. The restaurant doesn't believe in drenching their chicken with sauce, and why would they when the chicken on its own was so freaking delicious? Not to say that I didn't enjoy dipping my wings and tenders into the BBQ sauce and honey mustard, but the chicken didn't NEED the sauces. I washed down my food with sweet tea, which is complimentary if you buy food. The staff here is also SO friendly. They truly make you feel welcome. Can't wait to come here again!

I haven't been back since then (not even in 2024) because I just don't eat fast food....LOL. Okay, maybe I visited once or twice again in 2024. FOOD -- Back in 2023 (or maybe 2024), I ordered a 3-piece Signature Chicken Combo which is fried chicken with fries (potato chips) and a bread bun or what some call a biscuit. It all tasted good. I liked the crunchiness of the chicken and how it was filled with the regular flavour of chicken. The fries were also salty enough but not too salty. The biscuit was buttery soft and tasty. In terms of fast food, it's not bad but it is definitely not healthy because the oils used to fry the chicken are probably not the best ones. CUSTOMER SERVICE -- When I visited in 2023, I believe that I went through the drive-thru with a friend and it was very busy. The workers all did their best to keep the line moving quickly because the line is a little out of their control based on how slow or fast a customer orders food. I've never ordered from inside the restaurant so I can't comment on how the workers act inside versus the drive-thru. If you are looking for convenience (fast food) and chicken, of course, then Popeyes is the place for you. I'm not sure I'll be back just because I don't prefer to eat fried foods all the time but if I'm in a bind, then Popeyes will be a fine option for fast food. **** GOAL of 365 reviews in 2025 - 38/365 total reviews in 2025 - 819 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 20 February 2025
