They don't accept ANY coupons :( I've seen comments saying that the scanner is broken but that's not it, unfortunately. It's worse. The franchise owner refuses coupons. So far, this location is the ONLY Subway on the island that doesn't take coupons on orders of the owner, as far as I'm aware. A footlong sub sandwich for $15-$16 from a corporation company that doesn't take coupons? You might as well go to a local sub store and support that business instead. Honestly, as the customer, it's better off that way. Or just go to Subway location that accepts coupons and app rewards, like the Nanakuli location. read more

I was a little disappointed with my experience. My brother boasted about how Waianae Mall subway is the best, they are quick and pack on the veggies. I ordered our food through the mobile. Got there early so waited in the car until I was notified that my order was ready. When I walked in there was two people ahead of me, but I did not have to wait in line since I ordered ahead. However, when asked my name I noticed that they had only started on one sandwich and it wasn't even done. There were 3 staff, but I practiced patience and they may have been busy with walk in customers before I showed up. I waited patiently and watched as the workers looked new and a little confused as to prioritizing my order versus the people in line. I ordered 4 footlong sandwiches, a bag of chips and six pack of cookies. As Iwatched I noticed that the person making my sandwiches had gloves on but her exposed arm would touch with the bread or other areas as she reached for things or moved. At that point everyone was getting impatient and eyes were rolling so I did not want to cause a commotion, so I ignored it, I knew it was not on purpose and she was not intentionally trying to make contact. When my order was complete the same employee just looked at me and said your order and handed me the bag by the handles. I grabbed it and it ripped luckily the other customer ordering was able to catch the bottom, or my entire order would have bee on the floor. The one positive from my experience, the dining area was clean. Not sure if we will be back, may opt for Nanakuli or another subway before we head home. read more

Went there today. Asked if they except coupons from there company which we find in our midweek, answer was NO, because they are franchised. To not make them seem so bad, they did have a sign on the outside of their door. , saying that they are a franchised business. We still went in and asked, other then not exception from coupon. Subway is located at the Waianae Mall. Short walking distance to BK. This sandwich shop is where an individual would go to eat healthy sandwiches. I stepped foot into Subway the other night with a friend and the shop looked empty. It took couple minutes before one of the employees made an appearance and greeted us. My friend and I were discussing on which type of meat to put on the sub sandwich. Normally I would order the Sub Club Sandwich which has chicken. My friend wanted the black forest ham instead. Employee started to put the chicken for the foot long sandwich then realized it supposed to be black forest ham. Provolone cheese was added as well as mayo. My half of the sandwich had mustard. The entire sandwich included spinach, olives, pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes. My friend's half of the sandwich had the onions as well as salt and pepper. Customers who do order drinks are allowed to make their own drinks. My friend and I decided not to have any drinks or chips to go with the sandwich. Customers can choose to eat their sandwiches in the dine in section of the sandwich shop or take the sandwich to go. We opted to leave the premises after my friend paid for the sandwich. I did take notice there was newspaper on one of the tables. Subway is sure one alternate fast food joint in Waianae. One step closer to eating healthy besides the usual fried burgers from the burger joints. Note - half a foot long sandwich would be enough food for most people. I on the other hand was still hungry. I ordered mobile with a pick up time for 2:30pm. I order my sandwich with Artisan flat bread and pay extra to have avocado slices. I get to Subway Waianae at 2:33pm only to wait then when I finally get a workers attention she already knows who I am but my sandwich is no where to be seen. These people don't know the difference between guacamole and avocado slices? This guacamole made my toasted sandwich SOGGY. To add insult to injury the mobile app did not let me complete my "contact us" complaint because it would not locate the store and I tried entering the # located on my mobile app for store location and it wouldn't accept it, really? The meat trays were filthy, old sauce stains were all over the counter, the meat and vegetables weren't covered, and the vegetables look very old and wilty with dark spots. It's 8:50 on a Monday night I'm currently sitting outside of subway Waianae located at the waianae mall. Went up to the door it was locked. The female employee avoided me & laughed towards the other employee who's in the back. I stood there for a good minute or two thinking they'd be like "hey sorry were closed" but no. I arrived at 8:43 so I gave them the time to notice me but I guess they're in a rush to get home so my fault for choosing to get dinner late even tho they clearing close at 9.
