One night, I went to Burger King to grab dinner for the family. As I was eating my burger, I felt something was off. I opened it up and saw it was raw on one side. Luckily, we weren't far from home, so I packed it back up and returned to the restaurant to have them check it out. The manager was great--she apologized, refunded my entire order, and went to the kitchen to ensure the burgers were cooked thoroughly. First off, I'd like to say that there's nothing wrong with the food in the kitchen. Every time I come here, the food is always hot and delicious. The workers are doing everything right and always doing their best. The managers are the problem for me. In every workplace, you're gonna have managers that you just can't stand. However, most of the managers here treat their workers horribly. This is heartbreaking because I see the workers always trying their hardest to do their best. They always put on a smile for us even though they're getting treated terribly at work. The managers that work here either need to change how they treat their workers, or just quit overall. I hardly go to Burger King esp after the incident in 2017. I went today to grab some breakfast and I got a pink lemonade as the drink option. Food was okay but I want to talk about the drink. They don't clean their machines. I was drinking as I was eating and it felt off. After awhile, I took the cap off and saw black flecks at the bottom of the cup, I tipped it out and it was black flakes and just threw it out. My order was supposed to be delivered at 11:45pm, therefore, I was at the gate waiting since 11:30pm just to ensure that I am not missed. Ordered a double Wopper with Cheese. Came to 16.01$. Told the cashier that I didn't want to break another dollar, so I'd get the one penny out of the change holder in my tuck. When I returned (in less the 45 seconds) she is standing there waiting for me to give her the penny. She didn't start my order and wasn't going to until I returned with that one penny. If this is so, and not just a mis adjustment of the equipment, I say a penny here and a penny there approach to customer satisfaction may cost them more then a penny in the long term. My most recent visit to Burger King at the Waianae Mall was very quick. Of course I had to pay a visit to the restroom facility first. Sad that the door button doesn't lock but at least the maintenance worker did put a door latch so female customers can lock the door while using the restroom. After using the fast food restaurant restroom facility I stood in line to order a Whopper Jr. sandwich. I was surprised there were two registers open instead of the usual one register. There were two people ahead of me but they ordered from the same register. I got greeted by the employee who was handling the second register. I placed my order of a Whopper Jr. sandwich and paid for it using a debit/credit card. Within two minutes my Whopper Jr. sandwich was already prepped and bagged to be handed off to me. Wow! This Waianae location has it's good and bad. Restrooms aren't always the best, but glad they brought it inside the restaurant instead of back in the days when you had to walk in the drive thru just to get there. Soda Fountains are self refillable which is a good plus, but they tend to run out of ice quickly. If the food is burnt or doesn't meet your satisfaction - they seem to take their time on giving you the correct one. Glad Waianae Mall finally fixed the parking lot! read more

I grew up on the waianae side and i've been coming here ever since i was little, lol. burger king is one of my favorite fast food places to eat at when i'm feeling like eating something bad LOL. This specific location is my childhood spot, lol. There's this one manager thats been working here since i was little and when shes in, shes always so helpful and sweet to me and my family. She holds it down at this location when she's there. I love their breakfast and would always come here after church on Sundays. Love their pancakes, hash browns, iced coffee, ham and cheese croissants. As for the lunch menu... i love their onion rings, fries, twix pie, caramel fraps, etc... I rarely eat fastfood and yelp review even less but unfortunately I had a bad experience recently the first time in the drive thru here. I ordered a Big King XL and repeated it twice to be clear becasue the worker in the drive through had a Filipino accent that was extremely thick. I was dropped off at home and that is when I saw that I was given a Bacon King sandwich. I cannot eat bacon and there are no greens. It was late and I have no phone at the moment so I couldn't call and did not want to catch the bus back there just to return the sandwich so I had no choice but the return in the morning. When I did I was met with a dismissive attitude from the "acting supervisor". I was made to feel like it was my fault becasue I didnt call but I have no phone right now. I was also told I needed to bring the sandwich back. I am not going to tote a burger around on the bus becasue they made a mistake. So I asked cynically " what else did I do wrong?" She said she was just following protocol and I asked her to put herself in my slippers. She could tell I was starting to get upset and went in the back to talk to someone and then asked me again what was wrong with the sandwich. I looked at her confused and replied it had baco, no lettuce, onions etc..... it was the wrong sandwich. She eventually gave me the corect sandwich after all the hoorah. I wasnt irritated becasue of the error they made. It was miscommunication on their part and mistakes often happen but for her to turn it around on me after the inconvenience, thats wrong. Every now and then I need to get my whopper fix so I come here. Kudos for the convenient location and fast drive-thru BUT they need to work on getting orders right. I get a screwed up order about 50% of the time. Either I get fries instead of my onion rings, they don't put the mayo I requested in a biscuit sandwich, I don't get the utensils and straw, or I get the wrong sandwich all in all. It wouldn't be too bad if it happened once maybe twice. But this frequently? AND a lot of the time I make customizations that cost extra money and when I get home, I find that I didn't get what I paid for. It happened to me AGAIN just this morning, thus prompting this review. I will not boycott the place, obviously, because I'll always need my whopper fix, but I will become one of those people who sits in the car and holds up the drive-thru line checking everything I ordered for accuracy because I think they've robbed me out of enough money on things I order but don't get. read more
