When I raised my concerns with the manager, it was clear he had no understanding of cross-contamination. For anyone with dietary restrictions or food sensitivities, this location is not safe. I've been a Shake Shack customer for over 20 years and have never had an experience this bad. The food was perfectly okay -- nothing particularly wrong with it, but nothing that stood out either. Unfortunately, there were several other little issues that added up. The soda machine seemed to be off, and the Coke tasted very strange. The restaurant itself could have been cleaner, with crumbs and other debris in the booths. The food came in little baskets without silverware, which is understandable given the type of food, but every napkin dispenser we checked was empty, so there wasn't even a convenient way to wipe your hands. The bathrooms also had no soap or paper towels, which was especially disappointing. Overall, the food was edible and the employee was friendly, but the combination of the limited menu, cleanliness issues, empty napkin dispensers, and lack of bathroom supplies made this a pretty inconvenient and unpleasant experience. Hopefully some of these things were simply due to them being in the middle of a menu transition, but based on our visit, I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.
