I once responded to a post on social media asking me where would you be getting married if you had to have your wedding where you had your first date??? Well then we'd have to get married at this Panera not just because the Starbucks that used to be here is now a different restaurant...but a mistake in a delivery order gone wrong and no food had been delivered after over five hours later was thankfully resolved by a manager named Sheryl and her staff of friendly workers. Not only was I taken care of that day, but Panera's Care Team also rewarded me with a generous e-gift card for all the trouble... The broccoli cheddar or potato bacon soup in a bread bowl is a personal favorite...also the chipotle chicken avocado melt or the chicken bacon rancher with a side chips isn't bad either! Sometimes when you go to a restaurant, it's not always about the food, service, or the ambiance. It's about the experience. As I walked into Panera, I was immediately greeted by Vicky at the register. Beautiful smile and a heart of gold. She gave me some time to look over the menu, and I decided to order the sausage, egg and cheese croissant with an iced Madagascar vanilla latte. "Excellent choice!" She exclaimed. She asked how my day was and after our conversation, she handed me my coffee and added, "Well, I hope you have a wonderful day!" As I ate my breakfast and sipped on my coffee, I observed how she interacted with every single customer after me. She treated everyone with the utmost care just like she did with me. This particular Panera Bread sits about a block off of Semoran Boulevard (SR 436). It's in a shopping plaza, so parking is not an issue. I have often relied on Panera Bread to bring bagels and cream cheese to morning meetings. Since I was in this area on a Saturday morning, I decided to grab a quick breakfast here of my go-to of a bagel and cream cheese. No real issues and whole their bagels will never compare to the great bagels I grew up with in New Jersey, I have to remember that I am not in New Jersey, so I have to take what the market offers. The melted white cheddar and steak sandwich was so yummy with the slight tartness from the pickled red onions and a little kick of heat from the horseradish. It is good to know at the time of writing this review this location is only offering baguettes for a side - I usually like to go for the apple if I'm getting a sandwich and I'm sure I'm not the only one! I highly recommend trying the Madagascar Vanilla Almond milk Cold Brew, wow! Perfect balance of coffee, sweet, creamy and that slight almond-nutty taste from the milk, yum! This particular location at West Town Parkway is on my way to work and I come here often, especially in the mornings. The staff here is really friendly and ready to greet with a smile. We went to the Altamonte store next to Walmart. I ordered a half Fuji Apple salad as I wasn't that hungry. When I picked up my order, I questioned the girl and then asked for the manager. There were hardly any greens in the bowl. The bowl was barely half full. This is their smaller bowl meant for this size, not the big one. The manager said the scoop was correct. She offered to remake the salad but said it would look the same. I've ordered this 1/2 salad many times before and never had an issue. Could they not spare the greens? Can you rate a place based solely on the absolutely amazing and friendly service? If this is possible, this particular Panera location would check that box. I come here in the morning before work, typically in the 8:00 AM time frame, and the staff is just amazing. If you have been here before, you may already know, but Vicky here is reason enough to come every day. She learns your name, she is genuinely interested in serving you, she remembers what you order, she is just amazing. The other ladies working here are fantastic as well, always smiling (you can even tell under the mask currently). As for the food, well you know Panera, it is consistent with what you get at any Panera. There are honestly few places I visit where I will continually come back just for the friendly staff, and this Panera is it. We were on our way to the local Starbucks, but then we had a sudden craving for the bread bowls, so we came here on a whim! I end up ordering the cinnamon crunch bagel with some honey walnut cream cheese, while my boyfriend ordered the broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl. The cinnamon crunch bagel was superb! Maybe it's because I'm such a huge fan of bagels anyways, but it tasted fresh and fluffy. I loved how Panera uses brown sugar as the "crunch" part of the bagel. The honey walnut cream cheese was somewhat bland. Maybe it's because the cinnamon had an overpowering taste, but it was hard to even taste the cream cheese. The soup was very creamy and warmed us up well, which was especially beneficial for my boyfriend who was sick at the time. However when we tried the bread bowl, it tasted extremely hard. We were disappointed in how tough the bread bowl was, almost to the point of being stale. We ended up tossing the majority of the bread bowl. Panera is a good place to go if you need a quick stop for some breakfast/pastries, but maybe not the best place if you need some good lunch. I really do enjoy this place. It's very close to my one job, and it's the healthiest takeout food I can find. I don't eat most fast food, and so I like coming here because I can taste that the ingredients are more wholesome and fresh than other takeout joints. I usually get the roasted turkey avocado BLT or the bacon turkey bravo, both of which are delicious. I replace the side of bread with an apple and voila!...a delicious, nutritious meal. Although that Kitchen Sink cookie does call out to me sometimes...the sweet, salty goodness is definitely a pastry that I desire. I only get it once in a blue moon though because it is high in calories (and humongous). I finally got the Panera Rewards card because I go here way too often not to, and it's already scored me a free dessert. Is there a salad dressing shortage? whats with the 1/4 inch cups that are 1/2 full. You buy a full Size salad anywhere else and you get one big container of dressing. Here you have to request half a dozen. Doesnt make sense. I know no one is going to finish a full size cobb salad with just 1 of these. thats a whole tableapoon of dressing. Called at 2:45 to inquire as to why my meal hadn't arrived, and was given excuses that could've been communicated to me within the 4 hours I was waiting. If I could leave no stars I would! Disgusted I even came here and never again. Not only did they put my meal in a to go bag Asked the kid (cause thats clearly who they have working there) for a fork said it's in the bag nope no fork. I would like to rate the employees based on their amazing and friendly service, especially to employee Keisha. My boyfriend and I got to Panera at 8:45pm, in hopes to catch the store before closing. Keisha was very attentive, providing excellent customer service 15 minutes prior to closing. She asked if it was for dine in or take out and we gladly dined in and they did not rush us although we were very mindful of the time. This location is so upsetting. There is always an issue of why they can't provide group lunches. The last order I placed there was today when my breakfast delivery, for an important meeting, arrived late because they had system issues. We had to start the meeting and people couldn't eat till the break and hour and a half later. The order before that I ordered flatbreads for a lunch meeting and went to pick them up and sat there for an hour while they only made half of them. I placed the order early in the morning. They just cannot seem to keep up with how much business they receive. I won't use them again. This is a great Panera location. They are usually very clean & have good customer service. They are just like other locations in terms of prices & portion sizes. I go here for something healthy & quick, not easy on the pocket. I am a fan of their soups & salads. They also now have a rewards program, but has not been that beneficial so far. They count each meal & send you a free pastry on your birthday. My current favorites are the Fuji Apple chicken salad & the turkey chili. She always asks my mother how I am & is so kind & caring to all of the patrons who come into Panera for a delicious bagel or pastry or an expertly made latte! The staff are nice and courteous, my problem with this (and pretty much all Paneras) is the food quality. Please get rid of brown lettuce... you charge $10 for a salad, the least you can do is make sure the ingredients are fresh. I'm not sure why their chicken is gray sometimes but it's certainly off-putting. I always pick those pieces out. Every time I get a salad, I'm picking out wilted, brown lettuce or soggy onions. I like the salads, but lately I can't seem to get a fresh one anymore so I'm probably just going to go elsewhere. I've definitely noticed a quality decline in the food over the last decade, for sure. So, this review may not be entirely fair, just to preface. I went last night to meet a friend and while we were there a man who was most likely inebriated came in asking some people for $1.50 to help him buy a sandwich. The booth behind us didn't give him anything, and when he came to my booth, my friend gave him some money and made an off-handed comment about his bracelet, something about God answering prayers. The man then flipped out at the women at the booth behind us who hadn't given him anything, and was going on about how they didn't see him, God won't recognize them, whatever. That part was awkward, okay, it happens. The manager was slow in telling the man to leave, as I think that should have been done as soon as the guy started yelling. Once the man was told to leave, the manager came over to my booth a couple times and apologized to us, and we told him it was the people behind us. No biggie. What really irritated me was that there was another older man in there, whom I presume to be a regular since he was chatting with several of the employees, that was pretty much throwing my friend and I under the bus for the drunk guy's behavior, and staring us down while doing it. This man had been in the store almost as long as I was (I waited about 20 minutes for my friend to arrive), and was sitting at a table across from me, staring in my direction. He was wearing sunglasses the whole time, even though it was indoors and the sun had gone down. He also, after the drunk man incident, decided to talk to the manager about how the situation should have been handled, as well as how the whole thing was my friend and I's fault. While there's something to be said for my friend maybe sparking the incident, I will not go back to this Panera because this was just the most bizarre thing I've ever encountered in an eating establishment. It's not the store's fault, I know, but the customers can sometimes make-or-break an impression as well. On a positive note, the employees I interacted with were friendly.
