Salads, soups, sandwiches and delicious pastries. For the health conscious and not so health conscious there is something for everyone at Panera. In general, I'm a huge fan of the Thai Chicken Salad. But I'm also partial to the Asian Sesame Chicken Salad and the clam chowder soup. And when I feel like adding to my waistline, I'll indulge in a cinnamon roll. So good! Panera is a great place for dining with friends or family or, since they offer free wi-fi, setting up your laptop and getting some work done. They also have some very tasty tea! This particular location is quite spacious with a nice, but small, outdoor seating area. The only downfall is it's location next to a Walmart. We visit this place frequently. I finally got mypaneracard. And Guess what?! I have two free sweet treats waiting for me. One for signing up and the other for my Birthday!! It didn't expire on my birthday which is nice, I was wicked full that day. lol! I usually get the pick two, french onion soup and whatever sandwich I'm in the mood for. Love this place, and love the food as well! It's great coming here for fast, yet yummy food. This place isn't far from where I live and I love the variety of what you can get there. Their bagels are super yummy, especially if you get their hazelnut cream cheese or the vegetable cream cheese which is just as good to pair with whatever bagel you get. Some of my favorite things to order are: -SOUP: Personally I love the creamy tomato, broccoli & cheese, and Creamy chicken. The soup menu changes everyday, especially with the seasons. But there are some that are a staple there and can get whenever you please. -SALAD: I personally love the Fuji Chicken Apple Salad. The apple crisp and the dressing that they serve it with it is just delicious! Definitely give it a try if you like fruit in your salad. -Sandwiches: Napa Chicken Salad Sandwich! My ultimate favorite, it's a cold sandwich, but super yummy and healthy too! -Pasta:Tortellini Alfredo and Basil Pesto are my two picks, cheesy, oozy, goodness! Usually I get the "You pick 2" menu since I can never settle on what I want and usually want a little bit of this or that. When I got to the location the loaf was sold with a response of "they never told me to set is aside" the young lady at the cashier's station was kind to me and gave me two water cups for the trouble. Panera is Panera, but Panera is pretty good, so they get four stars. I always get a kick out of the fact that you can order Mac & cheese in a bread bowl, and it comes with a side of bread. Not a place to come if you're scared of carbs. That being said, I usually order the mac & cheese in a bread bowl, because it is fantastic, and I take the side of bread to feed the ducks later. It's a good place to eat if your looking for something healthy/not so healthy. As for the meals themselves, I highly recommend the soup/sandwich combination. I always get the Turkey Focaccia panini (due to the Bacon) and the broccoli cheddar soup (which is the best hangover food EVAR). The pastries are good as well, but I try to stay away from them since the sugar can be a bit too high. As a chain, this place is as good as it can get. I am fairly new to this location but at least 6 visits now and I have not been close to disappointed. On the contrary, I have had the pleasure of interacting with one of the most positive, friendly and pleasant people on almost a daily basis over the last week. Been going here for three years now. It's very convenient and quiet compared to the others. Best time to go is after 1 if you don't want to have a crowd. My favorite things on the menu are the pesto (that they took off), the tortellini Alfredo and the Cobb chicken avocado salad and the Fuji apple salad. Got a "sandwich" with some stuff sprinkled on the side of the bread. When I asked what that was supposed to be they started reciting to me the ingredients of what I had ordered. I wasn't sure if that was a joke at which I was supposed to laugh or they were simply being smart about it. Manager walked away as soon as I walked up with the sandwich and didn't want to hear what was going on. If you're so busy that you can't make a proper sandwich at least put up a sign saying so. I love their bagels and the food is good. Overall the bathrooms and the dining room is clean. But once again they think getting gloves without washing their hands is ok. This place is beyond me at this point.. my order is 75% of the time incorrect!. Like the receipt states, ask for manager. I have and every time i get this jackie "manager" i cringe.. she is by far one of the worst manager lacking extreme costumer service and lack of responsibility.. first off my chicken noodle soup when ordered for delivery was all god damn brooth.. almost 7 dollars for brooth i dont think so. I got the delivery and of course i called, she stated she " personally" saw the soup which obviously she personally missed the fact i asked for more food than brooth. First strike.. she was rude and condescending. Then we today we order delivery again, my soup never arrives.. this time we get chicken and rice as we didnt feel like dealing with a wrong chickenn noodle again! Well the soup never makes it to us. My husband goes to the store . Wonderful jackie is once again at it, rude and says the delivery guy called 3 times and as my husband asks for another soup she has him wait for the delivery guy to.come back to hand him that soup. Panera Panera Panera! Nothing beats coming to a nice clean bakery to grab a coffee/tea and a pastery to let the time fly by. Panera is hit or miss depending on the staff who's cooking the food. Nothing too extravagant to mention but nothing too astonishing to rag them about either. If you've been to one Panera you pretty much have been to them all. The location of this place is a bit to be desired. Parking is always a situation and make sure when you're crossing the road you look both ways! Horrible customer service and bad experience during my last and FINAL visit to this location. I needed a cinnamon swirl loaf and had been trying to make an order for it however it was unavailable multiple times and Dan one of the store managers told me that my next loaf order would be comped because of all the trouble I went through just trying to get the loaf of bread. I was going to either pick up my order on April 19th or if they didn't have it available then for April 20th at any time. I called around 4 pm April 20th and I spoke to Casey and she said it would be ready for me when I decided to come in. I drove straight there after my call. I come into the store and let the girl at the cash register know that I had just called and that I was told my order would be waiting for me. The girl asks for my name and finds no specific order. I then let her know that I had previously spoke to Dan and that my order was going to be free since I had previous issues before. The girl at the register then proceeds to tell me maybe my order was at a different Panera location because my order was not coming up under my name. I know exactly which location I ordered from and was NOT mistaken. I showed the girl my call log and I show her the number I had called was in fact their store number. I then started to get really frustrated because this was getting absolutely no where because the girl couldn't even figure out what was really going on. So by that time I asked to speak to the store manager she tells me she was the one who had been on the phone and says my order was waiting for me in the bag. She then tells the girl "just give it to her" referring to the bread and didn't charge me as I had informed them that Dan told me my order would be comped. Yesterday I had the last slice left of my cinnamon swirl bread and took one bite of the bread only to find 2 black curly hairs cooked into my bread slice. This is absolutely gross and disgusting. As soon as I discovered the hairs in my food I called the location right away. Casey was again the person who answers the phone. I tell her that I found 2 hairs cooked into my slice of my bread I had bought from there. She then puts me on hold and comes back on the phone and says she emailed the general manager. I tell her that it is very gross to find hairs cooked into my slice of bread from there store and she then tells me that "she paid for my bread from that store" as if she did me some good favor. Ridiculous and rude. I then tell her I needed the first initial of her last name and she replies to me "I don't feel comfortable giving my last name." For one I never asked the girl for her last name and only wanted the first initial of her last name to properly identify who was handling my call. She wasn't even listening properly over the phone. Very irritating and unprofessional. I will NEVER go to this location very unorganized and big lack of communication on behalf of there staff. Your Panera location needs to really evaluate the performance of your Assistant Store Manager Casey. You just lost a good customer because of her and because I found 2 hairs cooked into my food. That is very UNSANITARY. I do NOT recommend this location for anything. read more

I used to have a love-hate relationship with Panera. I loved their sandwiches but hated the inconsistent temperature of their soups. Lately, they have been better. Until today. I ordered A barbecue chicken salad and the $5 bowl of mac and cheese (which I realize is NOT soup but is reheated in the same manner). The first bite was lukewarm. Out of curiosity (and, no I don't typically play with my food), I stuck my finger on it and then in it. It was refrigerator cold in the bottom. When I brought it back to the counter, The young lady told me I could reheat in the microwave. Now, I am not talking about a meal that I let sit and get cold. This is how it was given to me as soon as it was put up on the counter. My question is how does Panera get away with serving food that is far below what are the health department would except and expect their customers to do the job of reheating their food for them? My response was that I either wanted a new bowl or I wanted something else to eat. She made me another dish that was warmer, but still not anywhere near hot. (Like the 135-140 degrees the health department recommends.) The other person in my party ordered a salad with dressing on the side. What she got was a salad that was overdressed to the point that she could not eat it. She did not return it, but two out of two orders being problematic on a less-than-busy night suggests I can find a healthy meal elsewhere for my money. read more

I have to give them 4 stars just because you always get the same good food for a fair price. I usually like their soups (i miss the white chicken chili) and their panini are all good. I love it when the cookies come out of the oven while I'm there. I always find a way to convince myself to get a "duet". All the Panera's are clean and the employees courteous. Never had any problems with any of the stores. I would suggest ordering from the "OFF MENU" some time if you want something different. read more

So disappointed. I love Panera and visit other locations regularly. However my experience at this location was terrible and I don't know that I'd ever come back to this one. 1st at check out my debit card was declined along with the lady paying next to me that was paying for a meal. We both tried multiple times to no avail. Now I can understand if it was just mine that was a problem but 2 people right next to each other, I don't think so it's a problem with the machine. So to avoid any other delay I just paid cash. After paying I went to sit down at one of the booths and of course I find the table that wobbles and the top is about to fall off. Then my order get called. I had order a Mediterranean egg white sandwich some I order all the time for breakfast at other locations. I went to take a bit and just about half the egg white fell out of the sandwich and was falling apart. Now as I said I've had this item before so I no what it had on it and the cheese was missing. I am really sad to have to give this Penera a one star but I just went to get my regular order which is just two scoops of chicken salad because I am gluten-free and I was told that they would now have to charge me for a full sandwich. I've been coming here for over a year and they have never charged me for a full sandwich for just two scoops of chicken salad. I went to Panera bread today expecting to get a nice salad. I ordered an Asian salad and was shocked for nine dollars I got some lettuce little bit of chicken and it was so skimpy that I will never go there again. We had to ask for more salad dressing as we couldn't find any on it. I go to this Panera often because it's down the street from my job and it never fails that I get awful service. The food is always great. Panera has awesome food and I love it. But the service is a hassle. However, there's not much more around this area in the way of food that can be driven to, eaten, and have time to drive back to work, in 30 minutes. Multiple times, I've stood in front of the register and have been completely ignored. Last time, I went and stood behind someone at the register, where they were getting their order taken. And when it was my turn she asked me to hold on for a second so I said okay. There was another girl standing right next to the register making drinks. The first girl then went and got some food and stuff for the other person in line, and then went to a different register and started ringing everyone up over there. All of those people had come in after me. Meanwhile, the girl making smoothies just kept looking at me awkwardly but wouldn't jump on the register or anything. By the time the first girl was done ringing up everyone on the other register, I had been waiting for 15 minutes. Then she ran some more errands around before finally coming back to me another 5 minutes later to ask what I wanted. If this had been a sit-down restaurant and she was my waitress, she would not have gotten a tip. The time before that, I got hit on by 3 different employees and one of them asked me for my number. I'm sorry but I'm just trying to eat and leave. Don't bother me. The time before that, the manager was on the register and he rang up a completely different sandwich than I ordered. And every time I've asked for a cookie, I've been given a rock hard piece of charcoal. Super burnt cookie. :( read more

Am I the only person that doesn't understand why "tip your café team" is now a question I have to answer? I stand in a line to order my food, I then pick up my own food at the counter and then return my own dishes to the bus stations. This is after prices have risen while portions have lessened (which I was ok with in the name of "going clean"). I am typically a generous tipper (in full service restaurants, salons, even places like Tijuana Flats (partial service), but this one irks me. Last visit, I tipped the highest amount available on the screen- it is the holiday season after all- only to have my sons food wrong, my plate with no utensils and cold bread for everyone. read more

I have been a customer of Panera Bread for a while, I enjoy the healthy options and the occasional sweet treat. I went to the Panera on 434 (in Walmart Plaza) in Altamonte Springs with my two daughters for dinner and a quiet place to chat. The food was good, the bread was very soft and even a little warm and we were enjoying our talk so much so that we lost track of time. We were in a corner booth and at 0904 pm Elizabeth, a frustrated worker, approached our table and told us that they are closed and, with a disdainful look, we need to get out. I was so shocked by her annoyance and crude choice of words, I said, I didn't realize it had gotten so late. She was over being polite and said that I should have know that they were closed. I said that I didn't think she needed to behave the way she did and that I would like to speak to her manager. As she huffed off she said loud enough for me and my party to hear, "I can't put up with this crap". When Max, the manager came I told him what happened after apologizing for inconveniencing them by sitting at my table without realizing that they had closed. He assured me that he would speak to Elizabeth and let me out of the restaurant. I may have fallen into the atmosphere and really felt like I was welcomed but the rude dismissal has completely recreated the Panera atmosphere. It seems like customer service is only from 9-5 M-F so beware if you visit outside of these hours. read more
