Great experience tonight. They must have gotten rid of the terrible employees. There was a young man & young woman that were very respectful, friendly, & efficient. The bread was super fresh as were the toppings. I'm sure many Yelpers have avoided this place based on the previous reviews as I was going to do but my husband wanted Subway so we gave them a chance. Perhaps the worst Subway I've ever been to. The staff members were incredibly rude. The gentleman who took our order actually rolled his eyes at us before making the sandwich. He then stopped in the middle of everything to go to the back. We could hear him telling the manager or whoever was back there that "He just couldn't handle it." Very unprofessional. All of the staff there appeared to be moving in slow motion despite the half a dozen people waiting in line. They were in first gear and didn't care to move any faster. I do understand that many restaurants are cutting back in areas of business due to Coronavirus. It could be that they were short staffed. I also noted several menu items that had been cut. It appeared that about a quarter of the menu was unavailable. Quite a shame. read more

Mehhhhh, the guy putting the toppings on the sandwiches must not like to fill up the bins because he barely put any lettuce or black olives on the sandwich, literally 3 pickles!! I Had to tell him double toppings!! The establishment is very clean. Bread is very fresh. Kudos for that. read more

Typical gas station Subway. Depending on when you are here, your experience will differ according to who is in line ahead of you. Unfortunately for us, we were in a very long line behind some summer girls camp group. Being along the Interstate, we thought to suck it up and wait it out. There really is no other choice. How bad could it be, right? Well, it was painful. With plenty of "sandwich artists," I counted 5 employees behind the counter and they were extremely slow. With so much time to wait in line, everyone had plenty of time to see the tables were unclean, trash was scattered around on the floor including napkins, sandwich wrappers and sticky soda spills. Sandwiches were stacked up next to the register while the "trainee" learned how to operate the cash register. It looked as if a bunch of local high school kids were working a summer job with much more energy spent looking forward to their 15 minute smoke break. While waiting 30 minutes in line for a quick and cheap lunch, I could have had a steak diner someplace in town. read more

A small subway branch attached to a gas station. Staff was friendly and seemed like good people helping eachother out s d their new co-worker. Sadly, what ruined it for me was that the older lady who looked like the manager went over to handle the cashier and kept her left glove on. Touching everything, the change of pennies and quarters and money. She came back over and kept her left glove on and wore a new right glove. She started adding everything else on for my Ciabatta Chicken Pesto. I felt disgusted and with her co-workers and friends ordering food I didnt feel comfortable saying anything. I watched her carefully as she was going to serve one of their regulars next. She replaced her pair of gloves for her but not for me. Needless to say, I threw my sandwich away and went to the Arby's across the street. 2 Stars for good attitude, friendly staff and cleanliness. read more

Typically a good place, but today because the credit card machine was down again, they gave me the run around about accepting a check. Apparently no one working their today at 2pm can make a command decision. I was sent from subway to gas station eventually I was told they are cash only today. Well I had to drive 16 miles to go get my cash to pay for my order. Really these employees are worthless today. I should receive a gallon of gas for their incompotance today. read more

For all who care about what they are paying for a 12" pepperoni sub has 20 slices of pepperoni meat not 6 slices for 6.95. And if you think it's ok to add pepperoni to a sandwich beware that it will cost you more then it should. When ordering a 12" cold cut combo sub for 4.99 and asking to add pepperoni too it which is 6 slices for a 12" and usually cost 0.75-1.50 but not at Ogallala NE they ring you up for a 12" pepperoni sub that gets 20 slices of pepperoni for 6.95 and change you 3.00 for a AddFt of cold cut combo and only get 6 slices of pepperoni and Force to pay 9.95 for wanting pepperoni and only getting 6 slices of it for 9.95 and there's nothing they can do and no manager or shift manager to help you correct the problem which is wrong for any fast food Industry there should always be a manager or shift manager on duty not only crew members. I would love to share my receipt on my post but it doesn't allow too but here is the served by number 0263 if that helps anyone to correct matter I feel they need to be retrained before left alone to run the store with no manager on duty. read more

I tried eating at this Subway twice this week, once on my trip to CO from NE and once on the way back to NE. The first time the line was about 15 people deep and the line was NOT moving very fast at all so decided to skip it. On my way back to NE, I stopped in again. I was pretty happy to see only one family ahead of me. Things were looking up, right? Wrong. The family (with little kids) told me they were informed from an employee that it would be at least 20 minutes before they could take their order as it was a shift change and they needed to count food. What?? They ended up leaving as I stood around not believing what I heard. Pretty soon an employee came out with a broom, she did not look up or acknowledge that I was standing there and she had no idea I had talked to other wanna be customers about the "shift change". When I finally got her attention she confirmed that she could not take my order for another 20 minutes. I'm not sure how hard it would be to count once less spinach wrap.... This place is too frustrating and I have vowed to not try to eat here again. read more

An odd review to be writing but I had to give credit for great service - it's so rare these days! We stopped at this truck stop for a quick potty break and fill-up when we decided to get snacks as well. My son loves Subway so I let him get a sandwich for the road. The clerk/cashier at the counter was one-of-a-kind. He used his "loyalty" card for us to get us a small discount, which was very nice. He was friendly and courteous, which is also a bonus. But the real defining moment was when I went back to just get a loaf of bread for my youngest to make a sandwich with later at a rest-stop (I already had lunchmeat and fixings in the cooler in the car) and the clerk joked with me that it was "cold" to buy the bread to make my own sandwich - then he gave me the loyalty card discount (again) and the bread was 49 cents! What a sweetheart! It's not a big thing, but it's the little things that make a long trip more enjoyable. Thank you Subway guy :) read more

Stopped here for lunch, during a very busy lunch hour, on a travel day after the holidays. Even with the large crowds the staff handled each of our sandwiches with care and did not skimp on veggies! Had a great lunch, credit to staff! read more

Subway has many pros and cons to eating at their fast food restaurant. Some of the pros to eating at Subway are the low cost food and the fast service. Some of the cons are the processed and unhealthy food. I have often gotten sick while eating at their restaurant. Overall I would not probably go back to subway. Due to the bad food I would rather eat somewhere more expensive just for better food. read more
