The people here were very nice, although some looked at us like we were an attraction. Obviously, being from California we probably did not look like locals. The food was not the best unfortunately, but it was the only place we saw for miles on our journey to NY. The chicken sandwich seemed like it was frozen and reheated as were the taters. I specifically stop here on my way thru town twice per month. They are a great little diner. The food is good and the service is good. The prices are reasonable. It's always busy at lunch so I'm not the only one who thinks so. read more

ZERO STARS... Traveling home from vacation and stopped here for lunch. Service was so unfriendly the second we walked in. The diner was empty and staff said they closed in 45 minutes (3pm) when online says 8pm. We would have eaten elsewhere if those were the posted hours. Staff stated they needed to clean and close soon. Still served our burgers. Food was subpar. We're never rude being served and leave healthy tips. Our server was incredibly rude, impatient and had many snarky remarks.. I could not justify leaving a tip. This was the worst small town to stop for a quick bite. read more

This cafe has been serving our community since I was a kid. The old door still make the same old squeal, then upon entering your senses are filled by " that smell" of lingering delicious burgers cooking currently and many years gone by. Everything was hot, delicious and the prices were great! We also tried the "Sawdust Pie" you MUST get this if you stop. Super friendly staff who clearly are well liked by their customers. We heard lots of hellos and first names as people entered. We just stopped in because we had been driving a few hours on I-80m and we needed a stretch break and an iced tea. We also grabbed a snack. It does have a greasy spoon smell in the air, but the hash browns were light and not greasy. read more

What a wonderful find! We came off the Interstate during a thunderstorm and found a delightful diner with hearty portions and kind staff. All of the regular diner food here.
