I ordered taco and burritos and if it were not for the hot sauce and ketsup packets there would havr been no flavor. Awful. Worst Taco John's I've been to. I placed an order here last month and showed up after the app said it was completed. I drove up to the drive thru window and they told me to pull up. I get to the next window and they tell me they haven't started the order yet... All I ordered was a burrito and Oles with guacamole. After getting a bag, I turn out of the place, only to find out I never got my Oles. I came back and they handed me a bag with Oles, but still no guacamole. Sloppy service. I placed an order tonight for 8:15pm pickup. I showed up after the app said the order was complete and guess what? There are signs saying they closed at 7pm. Not only did I miss out on my dinner, but I was charged and there is no way to cancel the order! Completely inexcusable. read more

Looks like a brand new operation and they are still training employees. I decided to walk up and order inside. Reviews of the drive-thru process sounded tedious. Inside wasn't any better. Wow, was that a process and I was woefully patient. I watched, patiently as a junior associate mishandled my order over and over and over and over again. Many times the order was incorrect. It was as if, we were both going through training discovering the nuances of their menu ordering system. All while a senior employee was watching from nearby and just prodding her to keep going despite the many hiccups. It was awful. If the manager had just stepped up, I could have had my order and been out of there in 20 minutes flat. What should have been a quick order took far too long to assess and then the wait and having to re-check the order after it was prepared. We went over that order 4-5 times and yet in the bag a few items were incorrect. I left some 40 minutes later. Thankfully the food was decent and breakfast hit the spot. I've never been to a Taco John's; so for those also unknowing, it's a mild equivalent of Taco Bell. (If you can believe that anything can be more mild than Taco Bell) Their condiment sauces are so timid/mild. Dont waste your time. Their crews dont know how to portion burrito ingredients so you sometimes get a burrito but mainly get a toquito. Burrito was poorly wrapped and filling went everywhere once we took the wrapper off. No they were not busy either. We sat in the drive thru for over 30 minutes and when we got to the window I mentioned the length of time to the manager, and he literally didn't reply to my complaint. Instead, left the window and had his employee give me the last of our food and she closed the window. The level of customer service displayed was incredibly disappointing to say the least. We waited over 30min in the drive through before we received our food. It took them over 20min just to take our order while we were repeatedly told that they were finishing the orders for the two cars ahead of us. Once at the window, we were given items from someone else's order and had to wait for them to put the correct order together. In the end, two stars would be given based on the fact that the food was decent and still hot by the time it got to us...but no apology or customer service was offered and we were missing things from our order. If you go, bring your patience, otherwise save your time (and money) and make your own tacos or head over to Runza. read more

My cousins and I are traveling across the US and stumbled upon Taco John's in a time of hunger, heat exhaustion, and desperation. The staff forgot we paid them, and we watch a staff member literally walk in circles until another person told him what to do, and it still took another ten minutes for us to actually get our stuff. And after the bad customer service, the food was really gross. The chicken was soggy. Our potato oles tasted like bad waffles and had ZERO seasoning. I realize why I don't frequent Taco Johns much. Their prices seem quite high compared to other fast food restaurants. Their only plus is being a monopoly of fast food in Ogallala. When you spend almost $8 for Super Potato Oles, that's ridiculous. Yes I could have driven off but didn't. I could have bought the ingredients at Safeway or Walmart and made 10 times the amount I had on their seemingly smaller platter than I remember from before.
