This place was a wonderful pit stop on the highway. It was so much better than any of the other fast food options. We were seated right away and served just as quickly once our orders were put in. 3 margaritas family Mexican restaurant:The name is perfect! Me & my friends ordered 3margaritas, we saw family's eating, there was mexicn food, & you guessed it: it's a restaurant. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff and served chips & salsa. We had 2 portions of salsa shared amongst 5 ppl which was adequate. It was a very classic cantina style salsa with mild kick. Our waiter was attentive, kind & allowed us to sample some of the enchilada sauces before deciding which ones we wanted.. tomatillo sauce all around. Most of us ordered the pick 2 meal combo (deluxe style with the guacamole and sour cream). Jeff ordered the steak fajitas because he likes it when the sizzling platter comes out and all the people at the tables next to us hear the sizzling and look over at him. That's just how he is. the portions at this place are large! nobody made it to the clean plate club tonight. even the margaritas were too big for us to finish! Mine was a bit sweet for my liking, but I'm sure it's just right for a most patrons. I believe we were all satisfied with our meals, however Bailey did not eat most of their chile relleno because they did not know what chile relleno was prior to ordering. not a fan of the egg aroma in the fried batter- again, a matter of preference!Michael paid on the company card (thank god ) and I hope he tipped good because those people were so nice. Prior to leaving I used the bathroom (#2) and was impressed by the led light around the perimeter of the faucet. It shined a bright narrow beam of light on my hands as I washed, a fun feature to encourage good hygiene. Wonderful road-side food stop tucked behind the gas stations just off the interstate. Free chips and salsa to start. We had some solid guacamole (a good size portion at a reasonable price) and a lunch special burrito which came out of the kitchen very quickly. The staff were friendly and attentive. When we travel, we plan on stopping in Ogalla, NE to have Black Bean Soup without cheese . This with some chips and salsa make for a delicious and nutritious vegan meal for us. It's not on the menu but we'll worth asking for. Same is true for the vegetarian version with the Mexican Cheese. The servers are helpful un answering questions about ingredients so we can stick to our diet while traveling. Was very prompt to seat us with a friendly greeting. Chips and salsa were good -had the right spicy kick to it. I ordered the pollo con crema and was delicious. The queso fundido is probably the best ive ever had. Price is appropriate for the quantity you get. As we went through our meal, it kept feeling very cold. We asked them to move us or turn it down. Neither happened and by the time we left it had gotten colder. Only three tables were taken when we got there and by the time we paid the check we were freezing. Seemed they wanted us out. read more

Despite my review from 7 years ago we did in fact come back here recently! I opted just for beer vs the margarita. We were a large party and they put us right in the middle, but it was fine we were easily accessible. The first sign that this place was good was the fact that there were a lot of cars in the parking lot on a Sunday evening! (That's always a good sign) I had the Pollo Fundido and true to its name, the chicken breast was completely covered with deliciously sautéed vegetables. The chicken breast was so ample that my husband had to help me finish it. The beans and rice could have been a bit more spicy (to my taste), but as I am writing about the main focus of my dinner, I have to say I was well pleased (and full)! I'd definitely come here again! What a great find! Traveling home to Denver, we were hungry for lunch and decided to give Margaritas a try. Everything was excellent: service, food, and ambiance. The complimentary chips were warm and crunchy, without a hint of grease, and the accompanying salsa had just the right tang of spice. My husband and I each ordered one of the lunch specials, both of which tasted fresh and delicious. I had the Vegetarian Burrito which was overstuffed with black beans, rice, and crunchy lettuce. The guacamole on top and sauce that filled the plate bottom were both addictive. My husband's cheese quesadilla, served with beans and rice, were just what he was craving. At $9.95 each, these were true bargains. You definitely won't go away hungry! Highly recommend; we will definitely make this a regular stop along this route. read more

my husband got taco and enchilada plate, the taco was in enchilada sauce so it was soggy, still edible but soggy. I ordered smothered burritos, I asked waiter what it was smothered with and he said green chili, you can see from photo it was not green chili. It was okay. Would I order it again, or not. Friendly is the first word that comes to mind when I see Margaritas again. Great people a plenty here. I was craving my usual, The Carnitas is my go to Mexican dish. Sadly, they were fresh out. I ordered the Seafood enchiladas and I really needed some soup. The nice man on the phone informed me they had at least 4 options. I chose the Chicken Tortilla. I grabbed my to go order at the very convenient drive up window, super easy way to do a pick up. Back at my hotel room, I found chips that were warm, salsa that was cold and some piping hot soup. The soup was delicious and warmed me right up, it wasn't spicy like I expected, but it was real good. The enchiladas did not disappoint either, both were stuffed full. The beans and rice were perfect to me. Avocado slices are a nice touch and they look and taste good too. There are very few places that have predicable hours and consistently good food in this town. I'm not sure how there was so many 5 star reviews. This was some of the worst Mexican food I've ever had. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food this is not the place to go. The guac looked and tasted like it had been out for hours. The salsa tasted more like a spiced pizza sauce than salsa (appeared to be out of a can). The rice tasted off and was overall very bland. I could go on. On top of that the service was not good. Queso dip (an appetizer) came out cold after entrees arrived. Requests/modifications were not followed. They didn't remove tomatoes from the taco salad as only one example. The server just placed the food down and walked away so we couldn't get anything corrected either. Overall if I could give this place no stars I would've. If you are road tripping do not stop. The fast food options would've been safer (or maybe the taco truck). read more

Typically I love my food piping hot; however, this included to be the sour cream, pico, and guacamole (browned due to high heat). I asked for them to re-send the sides that should have been cold. Other than that mishap, the margaritas and service was great. I will be returning, but will be more mindful not to go too late right before closing time. What a sweet unexpected gem!!!! Was looking forward to dinner upon getting snowed in at Ogallala. So glad this place was open unlike other places near the motels!!! Thanks to the staff! Bet the motels were at capacity, too. Anyway, so glad Margaritas showed up for work because it would've been a sad day eating from the gas station! The black bean soup was SO good. If you're like me and like a little spice, ask for some housemade jalapeño salsa to scoop in the soup to make it absolutely perfect. Lots of lovely fresh cilantro, too. The shrimp and mushrooms entrée was recommended. I didn't feel hungry enough for beans & rice so they substituted for me greens as a side which were unseasoned so I doused it with fresh squeezed limes. It worked out great and went perfectly with the buttery, salty sauce on the shrooms and shrimp. The margarita that comes out of the special made metal pitcher is the bomb! Omg yea baby you'll def feel it, lol. I'd absolutely recommend this and the staff was great, too. Love wonderful surprises! read more

We stopped in here after fueling up nearby on a long trip. I tried the pork burrito and my wife got the chicken quesadilla, both of which we thought were bland. I was really disappointed, as I had higher expectations once we walked in and met the staff. The kids had some child Shirley Temples, which they seemed to like, and a bunch of chicken nuggets or chicken strips, which they enjoyed. They did have a good bar and bottles of Modelo, but I would try a different place the next time. It was also way overpriced for what we received, as I feel I didn't get my money's worth. read more

I ordered the Express Burrito and my wife got the Arroz con Pollo and neither one of us could finish the meal, but there was no chance we were leaving anything behind. We tried cheese enchiladas, seafood enchiladas and a chimichanga; all were great. We also had flan (good), ice cream and the chimi cheese cake (a must). At Margaritas in Ogallala, Nebraska, I ordered the Burrito Colorado, the pot roast inside had been marinated in red sauce. The burrito itself was smothered in green sauce. Mucho bueno!!! We are from Tucson with very authentic Mexican food. The flavors tasted at Margaritas equalled and surpassed many offerings from home-60 miles from the border. As good as the food was, what really stood out was the rapport with the guest by the house staff. Cannot believe we were going to settle for McDonald! I am SO glad that we saw this restaurant the food is good, fresh, And just good. We got the birria tacos ( The BEST I've had aside from my moms lol) but they are really really really good we also got the seafood and shrimp enchiladas and they were also good but the birria tacos was our favorite dish the horchata is really good I got the tamarindo juice but it was just okay but it was good not as good as the horchata but it was good. Let's just say we been on the road for the longest and we been eating trash food but this restaurant right here reminded us that there still good food out there. Terrible! I came to Ogallala for a visit and went to Tres Margaritas for dinner. I ordered a combination- enchilada, taco with beans and rice. The beans were runny, the rice was dry, the enchilada was too soft and mushy and the beef taco was absolutely disgusting. Needless to say, my stomach felt heavy for a long time. I'll be glad to get that food digested. $20 for that crap! I'll be glad when I get back to California where the Mexican food is so much better. read more
