She thought the fried chicken was good and based on the number of other Customers ordering it, this is Southland's main draw. The pulled pork was stringy strands of pork seasoned like the chopped 'Q; she tried a couple of bites and gave up. Our server was not attentive and seemed like she didn't really care too much. The tasty fried chicken knocked Southland out of the running for a 1-star review, but all-in-all our meal just wasn't very good and really doesn't paint NC BBQ in a positive light.

I also could not stand having to see the busser mindlessly wipe a table in the same spot for nearly five minutes as he snapchatted and laughed with someone in the parking lot through the window. I know he was snapchatting because he was doing this at the table two away from ours, so his phone was completely visible. He came back about 15 minutes later and did this same routine, at the same table which no one had sat at since. To me, it is disturbing to see the person who is supposed to be cleaning the tables you are eating on, paying absolutely no attention whatsoever to the cleanliness. He literally wiped back and forth in the same spot on the table as he communicated with some person outside of the window and took videos.
