This Sonic rocked! Five stars for friendly staff, yummy food and the main reason.... They were open at 10:30pm on a Sunday night! The lights are on, the sign says open til midnight and the cheerful voice welcomes us on the order taking speaker! After traveling for 5 hours we just wanted something easy and fast! The food came our promptly and the fried foods were piping hot! A fast food burger that tasted fresh and hot was exactly what we needed tonight. First of all, they messed up our order and gave us the wrong food, we came back to switch it out received the right order, but when it came time to leave our truck wouldn't start so we had to jump it, the workers were not understanding as I hear them saying " what is bro doing" and being disrespectful. As we approached the restaurant, one of our teacher leaders unknowingly stopped at the menu near the drive-thru. Instead of politely redirecting us, the manager aggressively told her, "Get out of my drive-thru." When she asked him to repeat himself, he did so in the same rude tone. This was only the beginning of a series of disrespectful interactions. When we gathered around the outdoor menu, another employee came out to explain how to order. We shared our concerns about the manager's behavior, but she merely excused it, citing a policy about keeping the drive-thru clear. This explanation was insufficient as it did not justify the manager's rudeness. We asked to speak with the manager, who unapologetically confirmed that it was he who had been so disrespectful. We requested the district manager's contact information, but the manager refused. He instructed the employee to tell us to leave, saying, "He said you can leave." The fact that he chose to dismiss us rather than address our concerns demonstrates a shocking disregard for customer service and a blatant display of racism. Even after leaving in disgust, the disrespect continued. When I called later to get the manager's name, I was hung up on twice. This place is amazing and wayyyyy better than Burger King the employees are super nice and they seem really cool the fries are always crispy and salty the burgers are super good (unlike Burger King their burgers are always raw) the drinks are super good and sweet personally I love the cherry limeade but I can't get it anymore bc I'm allergic to it but it's still a favorite if you want good food come to sonic:3 read more

Pulled in and parked, ordered on the app and had our food in less than 10 minutes. One of the people I was with had wanted one of the chicken sandwiches and was allowed to put it in the cart but when we checked out we got a notification that the sandwich was not available so that was nice to be aware of. You can either pay on the app or pay with cash. Tipping the person who brings you your food is a very nice gesture and I'm sure is welcome. Overall this was a good experience, easy peasy, and we were on our way. If you're in a time crunch and don't have time for a sit down restaurant this is a really nice option. read more

Way overpriced for fast food and it's not even fast at that. Sonic used to look awesome with the carhop's skating to you they just walk to your car now and they don't seem to be happy working. I miss them being 24 hours and being able to get whatever you wanted off the menu. The stalls look cool with the little red button. read more

Fast food employees never get the praise they deserve. The young people working at this location go above and beyond to provide great and quick service and with a smile as well! We like their burgers, but they are quite variable in quality. One time, they'll be really good, juicy, and tasty, and the next, they are dry and taste like cardboard. I guess it all depends on who is working on a given night. They used to have really good Sonic Blasts with everything well mixed and very tasty from top to bottom, but lately, they have a lot of stuff on top but nothing mixed into the rest of the blast. Whoever runs the place needs to ensure that all the employees know they should be well-mixed, not just a cup of vanilla ice cream with a few toppings. read more

Cold drinks, good burgers. Server was friendly. Went at 11:30AM on a Thursday. Had our food within 10 minutes.

Not to mention I didn't feel like vomiting after eating it. Not so nasty for fast food but then again...I did only get a kids meal with chicken fingers. I loved that the shakes were buy 1 get one free, yum, AND that I got to push a to have someone take my order. Weird. But I like it! It was late, I was hungry and irritated from driving, and this loverly place was the only place open that I passed. So it's a little creepy there around 11 PM, the roaches crawling outside didn't help plus brought up concerns about how sanitary this establishment is but the food was clean and nom. Awful and needs better management. Ordered online and was ready 10 minutes after proposed. Drinks had no ice, missing several items, one of which hopper said "oh yea about that" we're out as if he was trying to see if we didn't notice. Very annoying. I'm at this Sonic every morning to get two large ice teas and a junior burrito. The burritos have been good. This morning I ordered a bacon cheese and egg junior burrito. I took 3 bites and found no cheese and no bacon it did have eggs. I took it back to the window and showed the asst manager and she refused to look at She said that she made it and it was perfect. Again I showed her the burrito- she refused to open the sandwich. There was bacon on the bottom and a little cheese on the bottom. Beware what you buy here. Sonic almost never lets us down in Moyock, NC. We have been able to get food for most hours of the day and it's never been disappointing. We have had a couple of incorrect items before but normally it's during their super busy tourist hours/summer time. I love their ice and onion rings! The crushed ice here is amazing. You can order just a cup of ice or they sell large bags to take home! During this visit, I ordered a vanilla shake with crushed Oreos and an order of Onion rings. They were all out of onion rings.. not cool. I came here for a quick cherry limeade and chili cheese hotdog. Not at all my usual craving but I felt different today. I pulled up to the drive through window and the lady was not very friendly. She had purple in her hair and a sleeve on her right arm. She did not say a word to me, even when I told her "hello" and "thank you." Ok, so where I grew up, we didn't have a Sonic anywhere to be found. So my first and only experience is from this one. I have taken my kids here now about 4 times in the past 5 years. (we don't do fast food a lot) Each time we have an enjoyable experience. Their burgers/hot dogs look like they do in the pictures and taste just as good. (you can't say that about a lot of fast food places) Their Sonic Blasts are AWESOME! They serve all the food on their menu regardless of the time. And this particular Sonic is open until midnight. Now, I will say that each time we have gone, it has been in the late Fall, Winter or early Spring, so I don't know if the quality goes down during the summer when there is a lot of traffic to OBX. The staff is friendly and outgoing. You can order from one of their parking stations or go through the drive through. And if you are a local, they will give you a discount! read more

The cool part of this place is the outdoor kids playground. My daughter loves it for that and they have great grilled cheese sandwich for her. It's her favorite place to go during the warmer weather. Our first visit ever to a Sonic and we were not disappointed, largely due to excellent service provided by Jacob. He very carefully made sure our order was taken correctly, repeating it back to us. Jacob delivered our food promptly on roller blades, and came back to check on us later. He even waved goodbye as we drove away. Honestly, whatever they are paying Jacob is not enough. These folks have a tough time getting orders correct. Never see same employees on return visits. Orders usually have something wrong. Recently ordered strawberry cheesecake shake, received a cupful of vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream & a cherry. It's been awhile going to Sonic at Moyock, we decided to stop there and get all four of my family a milkshake (four people in a vehicle) the employee is a really nice guy, but we didn't know the milkshakes were that thick, it's not even a milkshake, it's an ice cream that's not even mixed up, the entire flavor is way down below to the cup, whenever you get a milkshake from Sonic, make sure it's been stirred and not look like original ice cream with all the flavor below the cup, and let them know that the milkshake is too thick, my dad is already sick, same as me, and i sure hope that my 4 families are not sick like we are read more

It's a Sonic, nothing crazy here. I love getting their slushies though, it is good anytime of year. Decided to give them another chance. We Have not had sonic is months. Bad idea. Awful service and food. Burgers are cold and depressing. I didn't even need to take the burger out of the wrapper to notice how cold they were.I returned what we ordered when I finally had enough with thier laziness. Laziest staff I have ever seen. Manager asked what was wrong with it. I said everything. When I have to come back because there was 4 onion rings in a large order of onion rings and to top it off burnt onion rings, that is where I draw the line.
