Not bad but I'm not a big subway fan to begin with. This one's OK. They make a good cold cut grinder and the prices are nice and affordable so it makes good takeout if your trying to save some cash. There was a time when Subway meant good food and good service. The Monroe Turnpike Subway is the worst. I picked up sandwiches for my kids and he thought I said steak. My kids don't eat steak. I corrected and repeated my order. He began to argue with me that I said steak. Finally I said, "What difference does it make? You know I don't want steak. Will give zero stars. My app order when I got it home was incorrect. I called the store and the owner was rude and I tried to explain my order was wrong he said I can text you your receipt. I explained I had a receipt and my order was incorrect. He said too bad you got a free sub buy one get one so too bad and hung up on me. I drove to store and showed him the sub and he did not apologize and just mocked me. I demanded a new one as he proceeded to scrape off items from original sub. He continued to mock be and kept saying you got one for free anyway so too bad. Also he told me to never come back which is fine I did not plan on giving such a rude individual my business anyway. I have read other reviews where customers have had similar experiences at the Monroe Turnpike Subway and complaints of owner being rude and also not receiving proper orders. The owner here is a bitter old man. I ordered BLTs with extra vegetables using a BOGO code and he (who self-identified as the owner) took it upon himself to berate me for ordering my sandwich the way I did and told me I better not do it again. This took up at least 1 or 2 minutes. He said it's "a BLT, bacon lettuce and tomato." He told me next time employees would likely cancel my order for the way it's ordered; I've had the same order and structure for more than ten years. Stopped in for a quick sandwich. The woman behind the counter was amazingly sweet, but the owner stepped out to help Us. I asked him if the bathroom was locked or if somebody was in there and he told me "I don't know I just got here" with an attitude. I placed the order for a sandwich, and he proceeded to make it without asking any questions. When he finished, he said is that all and my husband said no I'd like to order one too, which he replied "you should've told me "he was standing right next to me when I ordered mine. he continued with the attitude and my husband commented "customer service zero " to which the guy replied "if you don't like my customer Service then leave the store and I won't make your sandwich ". Then got more agitated, so my husband yelled at him, and the man replied, cursing him out and telling us we had to leave. Words went back-and-forth and the owner said "you little white dog go bark somewhere "the poor woman behind the counter was so sweet, but she looked like she was used to his behavior. I can't get over how rude this manager guy is. Completely awful. They are super cheap with the veggies. And when you ask for more he chastised you and tells you it's enough. I go to this subway pretty frequently, maybe twice a week. Today i came in and one of the girls was working (who is there every time I am there). This employee is not overtly rude, however I can sense some tension every time i order. Today, as i was ordering my lunch, i was told to go to another subway down the road. I was completely taken aback and confused why i was being told this. I then decided i was going to write a review, asked the employee her name, and was met with silence. She is heavyset, maybe 230 lbs, Hispanic, 25-35 years old. I am part of a company down the road of about 25 employees, and none of them go to this subway for this very reason. This employee has managed to scare away my co-workers, so i suggest a review be made with her. The manager of this subway was rude to me and the customer before me for no obvious reason. When calmly asking for extra olives he made several rude comments and was also rude to the man next to me defending me. This place is the only subway I will eat at. The veggies and meat are always fresh and the store is exceedingly clean. The manager and staff are super friendly and are always generous with the veggies unlike other locations. The owner gave me a free cookie last time as well. Ordered online and order was ready and prepared right. Subway is fast food. I did not compare to the Italian delis who have higher quality but higher prices of course. The Caprese ciabatta was good and cheaper than most 'fast food'. The app was really easy to use and saved time. I will use again to pickup a quick affordable family dinner. I love the food and the owner is a great guy. I would recommend his subway over others due to the cleanliness and friendly staff.

Avoid like the plague. The owner and the staff are trained to cheat the customer and don't like being called on it. Today wife and I stopped for lunch. She ordered a foot long combo with chips and soda and I ordered the $5 sub of the month with chips and soda (as a combo which adds $2 to the cost of the sandwich). The employee announced that the cost was $21.45. I said no way. Yes my wife's meal should be $9 plus tax, but BMT is the featured May $5 sub, look at the sign behind you. The stinking, insolent employee told me that if I don't tell; her first that I want to pay the advertised price then she is trained to charge the highest possible price in the cash register memory. I told her to fix it and all of a sudden the total dropped to $17.31. I insisted to speaking to the worthless owner. The idiot didn't apologize for the deliberate overcharging. He told me it's the way the register is programmed. I told him that was BS. He programs the register and is responsible to train his stupid (and they are both insolent and stupid) employees to know what the posted prices are and not charge more than that. Many items don't have posted prices and no itemized receipt is tendered. How many customers are cheated and ripped off here every day?????????????? Subway International doesn't care. I was told to take it up with the franchisee. I plan on sending in the State of Connecticut Consumer Protection unit for a complaint and audit. I told the worthless owner tha this is how he'll lose his business. From now on I'll drive to the other Subway in town on RT 25 where they are honest and a pleasure to deal with. 8-26-16 I usually avoid this place since the last time but the kids wanted Subway. Where do I begin... First, the woman behind the counter which we will just say was "of a larger carriage" to be kind, helped my son. My son simply asked for his sandwich to be toasted. At this, the "sandwich artist" rolled her eyes...let's face it, poppin those sammys in the toaster is strenuous stuff. Then, we witnessed an exchange between the owner and a sweet elderly woman. Now, an on going theme at this place is the employees being unable to hear customers on the other side of the counter and the employees getting nasty with the customer...maybe they have pickles in their ears, I don't know, but the owner got shitty with the woman because he was unable to hear her clearly. Then, she made a comment about the sparse tuna on her sandwich. A couple scoops of tuna on what equates to a small loaf of bread doesn't cut it. His reply was "You pay more! I took my girls in for a sandwich today because we received some coupons in the mail. As we waited a while (even though there was only one other person in front of us), I asked the person in front me if he would like one of the coupons. He appreciated the gesture very much, but the owner quickly chimed in saying that coupons aren't to be shared and that he will not accept it. Soon after, it was our turn to pay. He proceeded to tell me that coupon sharing is not allowed and the money ($0.50 off) doesn't come out of my own pocket, it comes out of his.
