The ambiance was eclectic, with music themed memorabilia lining the walls. We received our order in good time. The chicken fingers were crispy, hot and fresh. The fries were crinkle cut-shoestring and fresh. The coleslaw was also fresh and the bread was toasted, crispy, and good. The "Cane" sauce seemed to be made of ketchup and mayo, I was not impressed. We were at the one in Williamsburg one week, then went directly to this one the next week later. This one, the meat is slightly more seasoned with pepper or something with a mild heat. Nothing crazy, just noticeable. The bread was a little wet and I really would've preferred it being more toasted. Overall, it was an 'ok' cheese steak. So I arrived late and my food still wasn't ready. Thankfully, I only had to wait a couple of minutes while others had been waiting for who knows how long. I got my food home and noticed the bun. Crispy around the edges but with closer examination, it was more towards the burnt side. Not sure if the bread was stale or old but it definitely wasn't fresh. There wasn't much BBQ sauce on it and the lettuce had the rib part in the middle. And I know times have changed and days are gone of them giving basically a double order of fries for 1 single order but it's not like it used to be. Prices went up and portions went down. The taste was alright but I think I'll go somewhere else next time.

I've never seen such a fun menu before my mom and I both ordered the honey butter buzz chicken sandwich. I also got a side of waffle fries. My mom ordered the triple chocolate shake. They were out of the chocolate so she got a strawberry. That made her a little sad but the strawberry shake was delicious so she was OK. They gave you a lot of fries so I tried to split them with my mom, but she didn't like them. They weren't very hot and they had heavy seasoning on a few and the rest were kind of bland. The sandwiches were a little spicy. And we were supposed to get no spice, but I think they put spice on it anyway mine was just a little spicy. My mom's was more spicy, but that might be because she doesn't like any spice at all. Overall, ambience was good. No complaints at all. I felt very comfortable there. And I lied to my sandwich. Will definitely go back and we'll try something different and hopefully they have the triple thick chocolate shakes next time.

This was surprising considering that there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant but I assume there were a lot of to-go orders they were taking care of as well. And even then, they still messed up my order lol. The price was a bit steep for a combo meal. I got the 4pc fried chicken with the waffle fries. The chicken had the signature nashville seasoning style but beyond that, it's nothing special in my opinion. I felt like I've had better brined chicken in fast food joints like Popeyes, Bojangles, or Jollibee, for a more affordable price.

As for this particular location I've eaten here maybe 5-6 times over the last 3 years or so. Each time the meal and service has been no better than fair. But today wasn't that good at all. Now service wasn't and has never been an issue. The young man who took care of us did well and was very polite. Now let's talk about food and drinks: The self serve drink machine was a hot mess. So many flavors were not working. Not sure if it was the machine or that the drink cartridges were empty. But I mean at least a third of them. The wifey basically gave up on the machine and selected the sweet tea and she tells me it wasn't good at all. As for my sandwich I had the Smokehouse and I wasn't happy at all. The meat was very fatty and chewy. I bet that I took 25% off the sandwich and just threw it away. So disappointing. The wifey had the Hook & Ladder and she tells me it was fine and no problems. So not sure what else to say. I do hope this location fixes whatever issues they might be having. I'll give it a shot again next time I'm there but if another poor showing - I'll take my lunch to one of the other stores in the mall. Ps. I gave it a 3 star. But I will say if 2 1/2 star was a choice I would have selected that.

Before I start I would like to say that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences…read moreand my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's begin!. When I first moved to the state of Virginia from Brooklyn NY I moved to what they call the peninsula where I first noticed the chic-a-sea restaurants. Believe it or not I have never tried any of their restaurants for whatever reason, I can't say!. You're probably wondering why I decided to try it now, well a co worker and I had to bring a work truck to this side of the water from what they call the south side. My co worker made this seem like the best restaurant he had on this side of the water, so I said to myself. Why not?... I ordered a big chicken combo that comes with fries and a drink, then I called my wife and asked if she wanted anything and she wanted a big chicken but just the sandwich not the combo. My co worker also recommended the corn fritters which were ok, not bad at all.. my wife thought they were decent as well. But she said her big chicken sandwich was thin and it seemed like they cut the chicken breast in half and put it between the bread. I would hope they didn't but in any event she was not too pleased with it.. she also stated the chicken was bland and unflavored... My big chicken sandwich was not thin but was blend and unflavored as well. I will say my fries came out hot so no complaints there other than it was a kid size amount of fries for the amount you pay for in the combo price!!I would like to add my beverage that came with my big chicken combo was full of ice and very little beverage which after a few sips I was still thirsty because I had minimal beverage and a cup full of ice. I was not happy about that!. The overall cost was kind of pricey for what you get. Overall I gave 3 stars for my first visit. I would consider trying them out again but getting something different on the menu!.

1/30/21: DISAPPOINTED!!! Was psyched to finally give this place a try after reading the reviews…read more Since it was our first visit, we ordered simple things: a fish sandwich, shrimp basket, chicken nuggets, & a 2 piece chicken basket. Fish sandwich = 4. My daughter felt that it could have used more seasoning. Shrimp = 1. OMG!!! Had I known it was going to be this, I would've ordered something else. #1 - It was a basket that didn't include anything except the shrimp. #2 - They were frozen shrimp which were tasteless and not deveined. They were disgusting. For the cost, I truly thought it was going to be REAL shrimp which were hand breaded. Not!! 2 piece chicken snack = 2. He ordered 2 wings and fries with this snack. The wings were super tiny as if it came from a preemie chick. Lol. Definitely not worth the cost. The chicken was hot, but it could have used more seasoning. Chicken nuggets = 3. They were nothing more than fried Tyson dinosaur nuggets. My son enjoyed them For the most part but said that they were hard. I spent over $20 for this & ended up not eating those nasty shrimp. I wouldn't give it to a dog at this point. I guess I should have ordered something else because I don't see what everyone else is raving about. The parking is a mess as well!!! The lot is tiny & people park anywhere, leaving no room for the drive thru cars to pull around. It's just a mess.
