Being someone who's is Brooklyn born Jew, I give this place high marks. Very impressive, the place…read morewas set up in a formal environment with also displayed some past Jewish Hollywood stars. Famous from the borscht belt performances. I really really enjoyed my meal of matzo ball soup in which the broth was elegantly poured into a large bowl with a huge matzo ball and some poached carrots. The broth was flavorful. I opted for a sandwich, after pouring over the menu on line and at the restaurant I really, really, needed pastrami. Nothing says deli with a nice bowl of pickles and some bread. Half sours and whole dill pickles. So I ordered the Russian Reuben. They offer two sizes the regular or the extra cut (probably another ounce or two) I about cannot have a pastrami without my Dr. Browns Cream soda... IYKYK... Topped it all off with a nice cinnamon pound cake. I felt this was good but it was not the best cake. I also took home some rugulah. Can't wait to come back and get my LEO OR WHITEFISH SALAD FIX! Thank you for the wonderful dinner! La Shana Tova

I finally made it on a free morning, just in time for an early lunch. On the day of my visit, it was cold and wet, so outdoor dining was out of the question. Just inside is a large deli counter with items available for take-out. Beyond that was a large and stylish dining room, where diners enjoyed the last of their breakfasts. I was a smidge earlier than everyone else for lunch; the dining room filled up soon afterwards. I loved the huge menu - there were so many options for soups, salads (Maurice, Greek, and Cobb, to name a few), sandwiches (Reuben's, triple deckers, and even vegetarian), burgers and hot dogs, breakfasts (omelettes, waffles, and French toast), and deli classics. I opted for the Victor Special, extra cut, which included larger portions of both corned beef and pastrami, coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. The thinly-sliced meat was indeed piled high at the center. For my side, I had wanted the onion rings, but they were already sold out! Instead, I went with the hash browns; they were crispy with a mashed potato-like interior. In retrospect, I should have tried some of the foods I've enjoyed from my hometown: knishes, blintzes, latkes; I'm now dreaming of meals I've had in my past. Service was fine at first, but my server got busy elsewhere, and her coworkers pitched in.

My MIL and I were out and decided to pick up lunch for ourselves and my husband, for takeout, and he suggested Potbelly. I used to love the pizza sub at Potbelly but since I haven't had a ton of deli meats in the past nine months (when I was pregnant), I decided to try the Italian sub. My MIL got the avocado turkey, I think, and my husband wanted The Wreck sandwich. I compare all deli sandwiches to Jersey Mike's - their Italian sandwich is fabulous - and it wasn't as good as theirs, however it was cheaper ($9.99, vs. $12.99+ for JM's) and had more of a zesty taste, which I liked. The only thing I added on mine was pickles, next time I'd maybe add tomato and a few other things ... I think they also had a garlic aioli option, which sounded good. $30 for three people for lunch isn't bad, so I'd come back to this location. Service was fast and friendly, as well.

We ordered The Wreck sandwich with broccoli cheddar soup, a children's grilled cheese (with Italian seasoning) meal, a ham and Swiss (substitute the Swiss with provolone) and bowl of mac n cheese, a Farmhouse Salad Whole Size, 1 chocolate milkshake, and 3 bottled drinks. Overall, it was an OK place to eat.

First, the customer service was outstanding. The gentleman who served me was upbeat and happy to have me there. The prices are phenomenal for the area. I got the Italian Sub ($5.49), cup of chicken noodle soup, and some chips. The sub was fresh, cold, and made to order. Sub was a generous size but not so big that you feel overly full. The bread was a bit dry for my taste, so I may ask for extra dressing next time. Soup was also delicious. I don't think it was homemade but it was good! Food was made in no time as well! I think I was in and out within 5 minutes, which makes this destination great for those looking for a quick bite. I will definitely be back to try their other sandwiches.

That's how I stumbled upon Farmington Deli--a hidden gem I'm glad I found. Ordering online was a breeze: a few clicks, a quick payment, and a confirmation from the deli letting me know my lunch would be ready in just five minutes (conveniently, also my drive time). When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the gentleman behind the counter, who handed over my neatly packed order. Five minutes later, I was happily devouring a fresh pastrami and Swiss sandwich with a side of their house-made potato salad--both delicious, and a great deal to boot. Quick, easy, and satisfying. I'll definitely be back.

Their tuna is unreal--dangerously good--and the corned beef is everything you'd hope for and more. I'll be honest: when you walk up, the place doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside, it feels like a small, old‑school grocery store that hasn't changed much over the years. But don't let that fool you for a second. This is one of those "don't judge a book by its cover" spots where the food does all the talking--and it speaks loud and clear.
