Italian could have had more cold cuts in it. Was alright. Cannoli was delicious and fresh tasting. Service was ok. She seemed impatient with me when I was ordering. No line behind me either. While I've been enjoying Sam's bakery items for decades, today was the first time that I've visited…read morethe location in person. Typically my grandparents or mother make the trek to Fall River to pick up their fresh made bread, spinach and meat pies, but today I volunteered to make the drive there myself. While the building is large, the 'shop area' is small, consisting of an L shaped counter, a few shelves with some pantry staples, and two refrigerated cases with beverages, yogurt, and cheeses. There was a steady stream of foot traffic while I was there, people mostly popping in to get a few pies for lunch or stocking up on bread. The line moved quickly and efficiently and we were in and out in no time at all. Their pricing is reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent. We spent just about $100 today, but came home with dozens of spinach and meat pies to share and enough bread to stock our freezer for a few weeks. Definitely worth the drive. Pro tip: order one day ahead for 'party size' spinach and meat pies - a smaller version of their traditional pies - which are perfect for any party or family get together.
