Very disappointed with this particular Subway. Today, the coke machines carbonation was off quite a bit. The drink just didn't taste right. I asked the gentleman working if it was working properly. He asked me to push the button again so he could see the soda spray out. When I did, the soda appeared to come out properly so I gave it a go. After a quick dip, I realized the fountain is just off. I decided to buy a bottled drink instead.... Which is more money mind you.... The guy asked if I wanted him to take the drink I made and throw it away... I said no sir, I will dump it but I prefer to keep the cup because I enjoy a drink over ice. I asked him if he would like to pour it out in the sink before I walked off with a "free" extra extra carbonated coke.... I nicely told him I would dump the drink at the soda machine if he prefers... He chose the sink behind the counter... He gave the cup back and began ringing up my order on the cash register. He was mumbling off my order as he keyed away on the register ... Ok... Mumble mumble mumble... Gotta 12 incher... (Yes I do!).... Bag of.... Mumble mumble mumble.... Also a mumble bottled mumble... And mumble I, uh, mumble mumble... Ummm on the other mumble mumble mumble... Just charged you mumble mumble mumble... .99 cent.. Uh umm uh. Umm.. The umm.. Cu.. Mumble mumble.. Mumble... So I just stared at him for a brief moment but said nothing... I thought to myself, well, I guess they do have to pay for the cups... COME ON MAN! I finally awoke with a massive woody for the truth! The truth is those cups cost them pennies!! It's certainly not the .99 cents that bothered me... It's the point! I am in the customer service business and would NEVER have done that to a customer who is buying other items. That cup was worthless regardless of who kept it. I was at least gonna put it to use for an hour! Today, a cup that normally cost Subway pennies, cost them a lot more. I'm not just a customer who stops at Subway a few times a year (not that that matters in this situation) but I'm a 3-5 times a week customer... I love fresh sandwiches and light lunches... I spend at least $10 per visit... So $10 times 4 days a week=$40 every week (which is still on the low end for me) so $40 dollars a week x 52 weeks =$2080 a year... That's what the gentleman working at this subway took from his company today... I WILL NEVER SUPPORT SUBWAY AGAIN! PROMISE! Nice job my friend! You're a great addition to subway! read more
