Love the food but 1. They are always out of ice? 2. They are not welcoming at this location. They will tell you how busy they are and try to get you to turn away and they also just aren't very friendly and talk amongst themselves vs talk to you. Finally had an Italian sub from this location that tastes exactly like it used to at one of their original locations in Jacksonville. The he and another a young lady that was working there continue to have a conversation talk about random things for seven or eight minutes before taking my order other than that everything was just fine Food came out great. Our family of 5 have been going there since the establishment opened many years ago and have been loyal customers since our kids were toddlers and they're now teens and young adults. And until until recently... the last couple of times we noticed the lack of customer service, loud personal gossip in the back of the food prep area, which was really weird and something that I didn't want my younger teen to hear. There was no TV on, no background noise. And then today during lunchtime - very slow at the facility, I must add...what really upset us was - our food came out super super fast? You would think that would be great right ?? Not??? And asked "Why is our food so cold?" The lady came out with a glove on and touched our buns and pretended like she didn't know what we were talking about. And tried to explain to me the process that she took to make them... Like I know??? The buns were never toasted at all they were completely stone cold - Literally Cold. All three. Not to mention, all three of our meals were over $50... We could've gone to a restaurant for that much money. I've always gone to this place to support the "Firehouse Sub" name and the delicious subs that they've always made. What happened? We took our subs home, put them in a toaster oven and made better quality subs ourselves in our own toaster oven... Sad and very disappointed. We will not be going back there again. Service is nice. They are pretty fast and my sub is great. Fresh bread and nicely filled. I am bringing it down a star just because the tables are not always clean. Doesn't stop me from dinning in. The tables are long so I just slide down to a clean spot on the table. This is close enough to my work and sometimes you just have to have a yummy sub for lunch. I recently placed an order on line and was charged for 2 large combos and a one extra large sub. I tried to explain a mistake I may have made and was rudely yelled at by the shift manager and was told " you got what you paid for check your bank account". I wanted know how this mistake could have happened and was told again you got what you paid for. I could not eat 3 large subs so I left with one sub combo and no resolve on the 35.00 mistake. I guess they were hungry and got a good laugh at my expence. I spoke with another manager the following day although she was empathetic to what happened I was told to contact firehouse subs directly. The worst WORST / Staff ...management EVERYTHING but the food. Whoever Richard is....the whole place knows that your blonde employee is "stressed and pissed off". I also know what time she needs to get to the bus stop. She "hates training" as she yells at high school students ...who honestly should get another minimum wage job somewhere else because they don't deserve this verbal abuse from this middle aged woman. Just like all the reviews before...foods great and service is terrible. I order a sandwich with 4 people working behind the counter (two working and one old woman yelling at a 16 year old "training" him) This woman didn't do a thing to help. 35 minutes and I'm still waiting for my single sandwich and I'm still hearing her complain about her job. Solid subs Batman! Firehouse is my picnic go to. We love the turkey and roast beef. They put some juicy mayo or some other liquid which makes your sub soggy if you won't eat it fast enough. Hence I alway overeat and stuff myself to avoid a soggy bottom. Online ordering makes it quick and easy. My only deal is sometimes the sub makers didn't attend pickle cutting class. I get huge chunks. Sometimes. Or sometimes no pickle at all. Also. Curbside pick up means you walk out of your car and get bag yourself. Maybe you need to call and ask for curbing? read more

The food is always great. That is not my complaint. I come here at least 3 times a week, but today was absolutely the WORST experience yet. There was a young male that was taking my order and wasn't wearing a mask, which to me is not that big of an issue, but then out of nowhere he says 'I'm sorry for not wearing my masks, I just don't want to.' He attempts to take my order and doesn't listen to me about anything regarding my order. Had to ask multiple times for simple things on a sandwich I get multiple times a week. Also, I had to ask 3 separate times to have him put my number in for my rewards. My family and I have been going to this location for as ling as it has been open, but it has changed ownership and the service is absolutely terrible. My wife and I stopped in today for lunch only to stand at the register to order for over 5 minutes without the staff saying anything or even acknowledging us. We ate at this location about a month ago, and slow and poor customer service. During this (our last visit to this location) the phone rang without being answered while the staff paid no attention. While it was lunch time, only two other customers were dining. One was eating, the other was waiting on their order. Its a sad state of affairs but I could not ever recommend this location (and I love Firehouse Subs) and we will drive across town to the Landstown location and give them Our business from now on. read more

These big names have there names to carry over negative or positive reviews - with that being said this place gets 3 I would give them 3.5 if I was able. I love meatball subs - now don't ask me why do I go to a big box joint to get a classic meatball, well why do you go to McDonalds and look for and burger like you would make? Because it's fast and I didn't have to do nothin ! Lol This place is ALWAYS clean -which is important! And the sandwich is always fresh! I took my nieces to the Beach for the week for their spring break and this was someplace they wanted to go. The youngest was demanding grilled cheese and after looking up their menu via yelp I was able to determine they would have them for her. Yeah.. I'm their only Aunt or Uncle and I see them so infrequently I had to accommodate. Sometimes familiar is needed when traveling to a strange place. Charles was great and VERY patient with both the girls as they placed their very specific orders. He smiled and made them feel comfortable and double checked to ensure they had specifically what they wanted. They both rang the bell in show of their approval. Was told they are training. Ok. 5 subs = 50 minutes. Another employee began at 6:30. Productivity increased by one sandwich. All I saw were 3 employees who wanted to gossip more than anything. The only reason I came here was because I had an awesome coupon. I was completely unfamiliar with what Firehouse Subs was all about..but I left pleasantly surprised. We walked in and were greeted pleasantly. On the walls were flatscreen tvs & typical fire station decor (go figure), but I liked the feel of the place. It wasn't rush-rush, you could sit down for a while and watch some tv. The ordering process was easy. All the subs were around the same price & most made "fully involved" with the usual toppings of mayo,mustard,lettuce,tomato etc unless you specified otherwise. While, the topping options weren't as plentiful as other places, they made up for that with the ease of ordering & freshness. When we got our food (I opted for a normal turkey sandwich & my husband got the sweet thai chili pulled pork) the bread was hot & fresh tasting. The ingredients were all quality and fresh...and the produce didn't taste like they had been wilting in some plastic box over flourescent lights like some place's veggies do. They piled the turkey on too..no skimping here. My husband even made the epic statement of "best sub I've ever had" for his sweet thai pulled pork. The prices are about $8 for a medium meal (includes medium sandwich and drink plus chips) This is a little more than subway but way more worth it. If you have a big appetite you may want to go for the large sandwich though, because the medium is about 8 inches. The medium drink is HUGE, which is such an admirable thing to me. Used to be my favorite place to go to. Been coming here for 6 years now. So much to where I even developed a great relationship with management and a few of the prep crew. Must be new management. Only time this has happened has been a specific group of employees after 7pm. Nobody greets you at the door with "welcome to firehouse" sandwiches always wrong or messed up. Passed 3 times I went the floors were sticky every has an attitude most likely because I'm white. I'm a very friendly person and can make a bad situation good 99% of the time but this is insane. I don't enjoy ordering from him because my order ends up being wrong every time and he's more interested in trying to be funny than listening to my order.
