The ribs were overcooked and then they added the dry rub seasoning as an outer thought. Flavors were not developed and disappointing. Unfortunately, our dining experience fell well below expectations…read more The most significant issue was the service. Despite visiting during the off-season, when the restaurant was not particularly busy, it took approximately 45 minutes for our meals to arrive. One member of our party waited nearly 50 minutes for what was simply a sandwich. As a result, several people received their meals at different times, forcing some guests to eat alone while waiting for the rest of the table to be served. They were clearly short-staffed. The food itself was inconsistent. Some members of our party enjoyed their meals, so the kitchen is clearly capable of producing dishes that satisfy customers. However, my Chicken Alfredo was extremely disappointing. The sauce was so bland that if I had not known it was supposed to be Alfredo, I would never have guessed it contained any cheese at all. More concerning, the chicken was significantly undercooked--nearly raw in places--which is unacceptable from both a quality and food safety standpoint. While others in our group had a more positive experience with their meals, the combination of excessively slow service, poorly timed food delivery, and undercooked chicken made this a restaurant I would be hesitant to visit again. There is potential here, but significant improvements are needed in both kitchen execution and service consistency.

She said they have a gluten-free bun, but the lobster roll on a gluten-free bun would be more bun than lobster. She tried to talk me into the $58 lobster roll but I can't rationalize a $58 lobster roll. Instead, I ordered a lobster salad - a lobster roll on a lettuce leaf with tomato for $30. The lobster was mediocre, and it was not a full lobster. There was no tail. Only two claws and some knuckles. Cole slaw was good. I got soft serve twist ice cream and a pup cup to go. I Both were good. I was going to get hard ice cream but the counter girl didn't seem to know which ice creams were GF, so I opted for soft serve instead. The outdoor seating is good. Clean and I appreciate that I was able to dine with my dog on a leash. Overall, Carrier's Mainely Lobster was mediocre. What I mind even more is a table with egg and a half consumed creamer left on it when I have been seated. I won't get into all my gripes about the place, but it was dusty and the floor was nasty. We waited for 10 minutes after having coffee poured before a waitress brought us creamer and silverware to stir the coffee. Another table was served and finished before we even got our food. I should have gone elsewhere. The bacon was half cooked and the potato cake had so much onion in it, I could not taste the potato. Getting a second cup of coffee was traumatic. Getting the check took forever. We were in there an hour and a half for what should have been a half hour tops. All we wanted was a quick meal and to get on our way. Jeez.
