Marble frosted glazed doughnut, and a gluten-free lemon blueberry scone.
    Mark S.

An amazing gem in the small town of Bucksport, Maine. Egg sandwiches, and some of the most amazing baked goods we've ever seen. As someone who suffers from a gluten sensitivity, they went out of their way to accommodate my last minute request for a gluten free egg sandwich. It. Was. THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD. (Do the business a favor and call ahead if you need A gluten-free egg sandwich before coming). Is there gluten free English Muffin is unlike anything I've ever had. They have egg sandwiches and home fries in a turnstile that's ready for you as you walk in. My wife's croissant egg sandwich was not greasy at all in her words, "Perfect. Perfection" Home fries? Beautiful. I got the blueberry lemon scone (gluten free), but couldn't talk my wife into getting the bacon maple doughnut. My only regret is that we found this gem on our way out of town instead of on our way in. Although, my waist line is thanking me for that. If you find yourself in Bucksport, please make sure you stop by the Sweet Cheeks. Amazing people, and the most amazing baked goods and egg sandwiches you'll find .

Blueberry turnover, chocolate croissant, hazelnut croissant, Samoa bar, Lemon bar (All delicious of course!)

Small bakery, huge taste and hospitality! When they are closed, they have an additional little 24 hour open section to purchase their made fresh daily pastries. They are DELICIOUS. I highly recommend!

Chocolate eclair, apple bar, pecan sticky bun, caramel chocolate bar, raspberry Bismarck.

We are from Florida and happened across this little bakery on our way to Acadia National Park. The treats on display in the case were overwhelming! It was so difficult to choose because they all looked so yummy!! The whoopee pie was huge, soft, and delicious. The best part of our experience, though, was the proprietor. She was so friendly and helpful. She even wrote down some recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. We will definitely be back!!

The best bakery north of Boston and maybe the world!

What the literal FUC-!!!!! This is the BEST little shop of heaven you will ever go to. Visit this shop and stop at the city. You have it twisted... The cinnamon rolls have PRALINE Carmel crusted coating (not a cheap Panera sticky bun), the apple fritters are AMAZING, the chocolate croissants are a surprise with a buttery chocolate icing center. Just toured across little quant towns and there's nothing like Sweet Cheeks (little shop- could miss it if you're driving too fast). Who owns this place?! Whoever it is they will sell out daily. Go early, stand in line. Buy whatever they have left. Oh! And there's gluten free, too. Mic drop! I mean, wow!

    Custom Birthday Cake.

Delicious and not super sweet! We got the coffee cake, eclair, and pecan sticky buns. All were wonderful.

Mount Desserts Pie Company had thousands of positive reviews, so we decided that's where we had to go. When you arrive, there is a handmade sign on the side of the highway for the shop and the driveway to pull in is a little tricky and takes a minute to figure it out. We pulled up right in front of the doors. Tip: turning right after you enter the driveway says "exit" only, so you have to pull straight ahead, even if it seems like you're not supposed to park there. We headed inside and were greeted by a friendly woman named Brit who had a ton of pie boxes ready to go! We got our blueberry pie and ate half of it in the car after we drove away. The pie was exactly what we wanted: fresh, local, great texture, and buttery crust. It was perfection! Another tip: it's cash or Venmo only and you can call ahead. $35 per pie. It's whole pies only, they don't sell by the slice.

The pies were still warm and she said they come out fresh throughout the day. We texted a few days ahead to place the order, which is definitely recommended. Not sure if they even have pies for walk in. They take credit or Venmo and they have WiFi available as well. The location is a quick turn off the road into an uphill drive. There are only a few spots to park your car but you are only meant to pick up your order and go.

Reasonably priced, small breakfast menu. Not a ton to offer in terms of pastries, but everything looked great. A freezer stocked with homemade dinner pies; Adorable Maine-centric gifts and art; An interesting collection of wines for sale... I believe it was the proprietor, who was the sole person behind the counter when we went. He was very friendly. Temper your expectations, because it is not a big French bakery, or an artisan bread or full diner breakfast kind of place. But it is quirky, satisfying, and does what it does really well.

I stopped in for a quick breakfast sandwich and pastry to-go. There weren't a ton of options for sweets, but I did stop by in November. I'm appreciative that it was even open, as most local spots close in the "off" season. The breakfast sandwich was so unique! There were scallions cooked into the fried eggs, which was a super interesting, flavorful touch. My pastry was a maple oatmeal cookie sandwich. Holy. Moly. This was insanely good! I'd stop again to try some other pastries.

The chairs are all different, the tables are all kitchen tables covered with plastic table cloths. Now, let us discuss the food. The Reuben sandwich was delicious and well cooked. Ask John about the beans he uses as he meticulously prepares your coffee (I had a terrific double-shot Americano), and also ask if Corinne wouldn't mind having you meet Moo Moo herself! Highly recommended - it's not far off the highway, with easy access to and from I-95. Service is exceptional, and the staff were happy to accommodate our needs. My wife and I were traveling from Rhode Island with our two Jack Russell terriers; they were intensely interested in Moo Moo in their typical berserker Jack Russell way. They got some special attention too. :)
